My children have attended Father's Harbor for the past 3 years and I love this school! Our children are challenged in different areas and one with special learning needs. They have catered to their individual needs, while providing Godly love and encouragement. The teacher's do a great job of communicating with parents and working with each student. I love that they also have a strong Arts program (piano, chorus, dance, etc...).
My son has been going to this school for quite a few years. The teachers have been great. He has never complained about being bullied. Dubel Agosto has been a great help. She answers all my questions. His grades have improved and he looks forward to going to school everyday. Sending him to this school has been one of my best decisions .
A great team of teachers and staff work here and they really love the students, it is like a family! The classes are small for more one on one time with students.
for those who know who i am keep that one's identity unknown, anyways I recommend this school without it i wouldn't have been pushed to the talents i have or know "myself" better I've meet nice people made some great friends so far (been betrayed but you know that's life) chapel is great too. My son and 2 nephews go to this school and they have grown so much from the way they teach. They teach academics but also Love and morals. The staff actually care if my kids succeed. The free aftercare and tutoring helps too. I could not thank the founders of this school enough for everything they do.
Best private school in Jacksonville. They are really care about helping the children succeed. Your kids are in better hands here then most of the other "my kid is your paycheck" schools in the area.
I am currently a student of "Father's Harbor Academy" as far as doing what you love this school as lots to offer when it comes to the arts and education. Like others schools they have things to approve in. The school is very new as well as young, but they do try hard to prepare you for life ahead. My overall experience at this school is good. If I had to grade the school by experience I say C.
The school is nice but the reason I like it because there is not that many people and its not a public school where there are fights and other things going on. Also the teachers are all really nice after you get to know them and most of them will go back to review something with you that you quite did not understand. The school also has online classes such as English and Spanish and other electives but these are the ones I take which I would rather have real classes with a real teacher because I feel like its a better way to learn because the online classes can't really explain certain material to you like a real person can.
This school is a blessing to my son. I had one child graduate from there and I have one more still attending. They really work with the kids and genuinely care about them. If the parents work with the teachers it helps everyone. A lot of the children there have behavioral issues, learning disabilities, etc, but they are more than what their condition is. Some children there don't have any issues and they all integrate well. They teach the kids and they also help prepare them for life. They don't coddle the kids, they hold them accountable and they help them be their best selves. This school is anti-bullying. It's not acceptable, your child will be dismissed because school is supposed to be a safe place. They have free lunch and breakfast for all of the kids. They also had a free afterschool program last year for the kids. If you're tired of your child being bullied, looked over and being taught how to pass a test, try them out. It may be the best decision you ever made for your child.
This school has done an awesome work on me. I couldn't ask for a better school I've been here for four years and its been the best four school years of my life. The teachers are all so very nice, If your kid needs a school that is hands on and teaches at there own pace this is it. I have ADD and no other school's could teach me but they know how to they have the teachers that are trained for all needs.
