The best Temple Bar pub for those of us wanting a great pint of local or international craft beer.
Great live music and a friendly staff. Perfect for a night out with your significant other.
Nice pub on a corner to drink beer and watch people pass by
Good soup and nice staff. Cool folk music played on the background.
Solid pub in Temple Bar, the live music was quiet and relaxed during the week. We sat at the bar and drank our way through the various cocks. The fish soup for the appetizer was terrific and the pie very good. The staff a bit mixed. A top motivated and friendly an older solid at best, but definitely not in a good mood. All in all, worth a visit.
Bad food, small portion, expensive price for what is served .... Good atmosphere and good service but awful food ... Not worth it .... I would prefer a MC snack ....
I got the steck .... Came a piece of rib only fat is very bone with a little mash .... It comes out angry ....
Great food and service. The Whiskey tray was a great treat. All the food looked and smelled great. Beware the slate plate for salad. Nice presentation but you fight to keep your salad from being on the table.
Good beer selection but way too expensive for a pint. Music was terrible.
An atmosphere worthy of Temple Bar: concert, beers, dances and covers in chorus of songs known in the Irish sauce. If you find a place to sit, keep it preciously ;-)
Good food, beer even better and live music. Good atmosphere to hang out.
Get in there on a Friday night with the excellent live musician, it's rowdy as all hell, and bloody superb for it
Really pleasantly surprised with the Norseman as a place to stay. We just needed somewhere affordable to stay the night in Dublin for a gig and to go out afterwards. It's in a really central location which was great. Plenty of pubs, restaurants and music venues within walking distance. The room was basic, but very clean and even pretty spacious. The beds were clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower and towels. I'm glad I brought ear plugs though because temple bar is a really loud area! The check-in and checkout process was really simple and the Jervis Street car park is less than 5 minutes walk away.
The pub downstairs had a nice chilled out atmosphere with live music that wasn't too loud. You could still sit down and actually have a conversation. The bar staff were really friendly and gave us discounts on the drinks because we were staying there. Even with the discount it was pricey but not as outrageous as regular temple bar prices. The Guinness was lovely! The staff recommended a few other non temple-bar pubs to check out and they turned out to be great. Overall we had a great experience and I'd highly recommend it for a lads night out kind of thing. Do bring ear plugs though!
Good selection of irish craft beer ontap, but the ambient is old and the kitchen was closed! Not a good option compared to other temple bar places!
Central location, temple bar area, both characteristic internal and external building.
Typical and good dishes, fast and fair price, the restaurant is located on the first floor.
On the ground floor, instead, pubs with live music every night always full as local
I was there on Wednesday night. The thing that attracted me was live music, and I heard irish folk (I think). I was very delighted listening Irish music and drinking cider. Unfortunately band (one guy and one woman) weren't playing folk all the time, but I was enjoying that.
Very good food, nice staff. The pub is cozy and there is live music.
Good beer (and wide variety), there is live music most of the time. The burgers are too expensive imho
Touristy, of course, but with atmosphere. Nice, clean, good offer, tolerable prices
Live music. And as in all Dublin, many types of beer.
Great beer selection and good live music! A cozy pub
On Saturdays it's super full like any downtown Pub. It's worth it for the atmosphere and the live music.
Great selection of beers. Packed house. Live music. Toilets average
It was the bar of all Temple bar that I liked the most to listen to live music.
So far my favorite pub, the best Fish & chips I ve ever had ( they cook a whole fish )! At night it can get crowded but have found a good seat where you can talk to the musicians. The music has been really good, singer/ story tellers (Sean) was really great! Staff friendly, oh I left my coat with my wallet in it on my stool and took a cab home, realizing it at my hotel, went all the way back and they had it there waiting safe and sound!!!! Thanks for that! Great place.
In the middle of Temple Bar. Very typical, live music, fast and attentive service.
We stopped in for dinner while in Dublin for St Patrick's Day and the Mussels were fantastic. The upstairs was quiet and a great place to sit and watch the street while enjoying great food.
The steak and Guinness pie is probably the best meal I've ever eaten in a restaurant, I've been a chef for 18 years but after eating here I decided to quit and work in an office because I will never make anything that good.
Live music and good atmosphere. The Smithwicks was not very good when I went.
The food was okay. But kind of lacking in seasoning. Wait staff was very slow to help.
I keep wondering back to this spot.
I haven't had the food here but it's a great spot to chill with a friend or a group for a drink and relax. Live music often.
Very nice pub, great service by waiteres, temple bar area prices, watched liv vs bay.mun, had fun, recommend bar spot, cold Guinness or gin tonic always great to have.. see u again
Stopped in for a pint and happened to hear a lad playing guitar. He was brilliant so we ended up staying for 4 pints. Really great atmosphere and staff behind the bar were lovely as well.
Popped in for drink on a hot sunny day (had a Smithwicks pale which was surprisingly good - I'd only had their bitter before which is awful) overpriced but it's in Temple Bar so to be expected. Soft drinks very expensive. The pub is nice , good location and the staff are friendly. The singer was good.
Very quiet and cozy place, the service was very good, the waiters very friendly and willing to serve in the best way. The dinner was the best I had in Ireland, a very tasteful dish with a bone-in-the-bone cut, I'm sorry, but I do not remember the name. Highly recommended
Beautiful place, quaint pub, irish style live music ... and good food ... I got an Irish fish soup ... good but not like the one eaten in Doolin.
Even the friendly and helpful staff
One of the best in Temple bar. Music, conversation and staff all make it great
Good Pub with a fine selection in beverages.
The music wasn't what I had in mind and could use a bit more flair, but all in all, everything was good. Including the staff and local guests.
My favourite pub in Dublin, live music, food and amazing Orcard Thieves cider for everyone!
Friendly bartender
Nice layout
Good background music
Cool pub. Great staff. Good drinks with live music.
food was very good. However, the drinks are very expensive ..
This was our first eatery in Dublin and we decided to have lunch here. Loved the experience
Food- We were 4 of us and we tried their homemade chicken pie( This took some time, but it was so well made, perfect chicken stuffing with celery, onion and herbs)
The sea food pasta tasted good too, the sea food has loads of clams, prawns and squids
The fish and chips was yummy too, the fish tasted pretty fresh; salmon
The dessert (Sticky chocolate pudding was super gooey and sticky and yummy)
The chicken wings tasted good too
Guinees was absolutely out of the world! Loved it.
Customer service- Prompt
Ambience- Any regular Irish pub. It was during Christmas and thus the place was beautifully decorated
Great easy going bar with a couple of crowd pleasing live solo performances.. Good beer selection too
Good bar on Temple Bar with live music. Enjoyed it.
A hidden gem in Temple Bar, excellent food, great craft beers and friendly staff.
Very cozy and authentic pub with friendly and courteous staff and good live music. We spent a very nice evening here and would love to come back.
The Norseman is a great place to grab a drink. It's super cosy, has friendly staff and live music.
Very expensive pricing on the beer; you are paying rent, if you pay that amount!
offers beer flights, live music, and friendly service, but the food is WAY sub-par and not cheap
Nice service, waiter Happy and nice. GOOD food too.
We were only in the restaurant. The fries were bland, the burger cold and the promised 300g meat never so much. The service was not very friendly. The live music from the pub, however, was great. Burgers are available at half price and three times as good at Bunsen around the corner. Enjoy :-)
