Had supper when in Dublin, loved the fish and chips, delicious. Great service too.
Good place for beer and Jameson.
LIVE music
Expensive beer, the musician was sad, and a fire alarm went off. Still very enjoyable and I was able to talk to the love of my life about nato and the euro zone.
It was my first time in Dublin and I choose The Norseman Hotel/Pub. Always be kind with me, nice barmens and barmaids, always smiling and they purpose some goods very tasty =).
All musicians are nice, good players.
I hope i can back again in this place soon. Happy Halloween =)
From a french longhaired guy ^^ who made 10 underbock challenge haha =)
Accommodation: Despite the double glazing, still a noisy weeknights sleep.
Great pub, is also something to eat and a very nice restaurant. delicious food, also for vegetarians. I had a Thai curry. For dessert a delicious little kitchen, see photo
A tourist site, the food is fine. The live music is fine.
Wonderful pub in the trendy district! A very Irish and nice pub. Downstairs with live music and party people and upstairs a great restaurant, kid friendly and very nice wait staff. Everything is right here and there is something for every wish and requirement. In addition, very clean!
They treated us very well !! There was live music. We had a nice time!
Great atmosphere, friendly and service oriented staff. Great variety of drinks
Delicious food, great atmosphere with live music in the pub downstairs.
Great pub with nice decoration about Norse civilization and a very nice "Irish pub" atmosphere
Quite touristy (also in terms of prices), but good food. The choice on the menu was very good, since I don't often have that I really can't make a choice, because I see so many goodies! The men had chosen a pie, but were still hungry afterwards. The gravy (gravy) with the mashed potatoes was delicious, everyone enjoyed it! The baileys coffee, on the other hand, did not seem to contain any baileys and there was also no pecan in the pear & pecan pie. Nice that they had live music playing at the bar, only we were upstairs in the restaurant.
Already in the afternoon live music and they have good food. The beer price is slightly higher than average.
Must have gone there for drinks on a bad night. One of the bartenders talked down to my friend (who is a bartender as well) about her knowledge and choice of drink, plus one of the girls bussing tables had a snipe at our group for not helping her clear glasses when we were in the middle of a conversation and hadn't been paying attention. We were honestly so taken aback by the passive aggressiveness of it that we didn't really register what had happened until she left. It's a shame, because we had bought plenty of drinks and weren't causing trouble. Think we'll try other bars next time.
Friendly staff, wide range of beers and excellent live music. We spent a great Friday night here.
Good atmosphere we found a table unlike the temple bar to snack at 9pm
Nice location. Right in temple bar, the pub has a nice atmosphere. A number of screens around to watch the rugby.
Drinks are expensive, but you're paying for the location.
This place was close to our hotel and located at the beginning of Temple Bar. The service was mediocre at best, the server didn t speak much English which made things a little difficult and the food was barely average.
Over priced drinks, good music, which carries this review. Otherwise skip and avoid tourist traps.
Good solid pub food. Steak on stone and clam chowder highly recommended. Good old fasioned interior for that cosy pub feeling. However many stools and rather tight constrained space on the onside.
Great pub, great atmosphere, great drinks, great music...
Is grand, it's a temple bar bar. Nothing to get excited about but grand for a pint.
Loved the walnut pasta and leek cheddar soup. Nice serving and great live music!
Good restaurant with Irish cuisine. Great beer choices
A great pub with delicious drinks, great food and great live music. The mood in the evening is just fantastic. Only the prices for beer and cider are a bit more expensive with 7 than in most other locations
Close to the templebar district and therefore very expensive. Live Music is good though but other pubs further away from the templebar are way cheaper and more authentic
Came here to meet up with friends but wasn't very happy with the price of the drink. Had a two piece band on but not worth the price of the drink.Full of tourists paying over the odds. The bar ladies said she was sick of listening to people complaining about the price of the drink.
Good food and good drinks at reasonable prices. The live music is good and the staff has great entertainment value.
If you want to feel welcome, great atmosphere, great food and beer, this is the place to go
Excellent atmosphere with excellent food including steak on pierrade.
Bottom: beer too expensive
Enjoyable live music (not too loud!) and a great selection of beer
Good restaurant with live Irish folklore music to do !!
Downstairs a cool bar and above a delicious restaurant!
Visited here for lunch with my wife and kids. The food was decent and was served in good time. Slightly pricey, but being in Temple Bar that is to be expected.
I believe it's the first pub in the world established in 1696, now it's call The Norseman, but the previous name was Farringston of Temple Bar.
It's a classic irish pub and you can get differents kind of beers and ales, good food, and live music all nights. Prices are good comparing with the quality you get.
If you are a pub fan, you have to visit it.
Met my soul mate here.....it s the tomato and brie pasta. The tastiest dinner I ve had in Dublin!
Washrooms filthy, rude servers, sticky bar top, not to mention my chips were cold and the meat was tough as leather... A serious lack of Irish spirit
Modern Pub in the heart of Temple Bar with occasional live music. Not as crowded and touristic as most pubs in the area, and therefore draws in more locals.
6.60 the pint .... We find cheaper ... Otherwise the music is nice
Very expensive 7 for a Guiness, 8 for an Orchard thieves... And unfriendly staff
A beautiful pub in which to relax and appreciate the vitality of Dublin and its people. courteous staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
As an American, coming to Dublin and finding the best wing sauce I have ever had was not something I anticipated at all. However it was indeed the best wing sauce I had .The chicken and leek pie is incredible, great presentation, great crust, great filling and great gravy .Definitely the best food at a pub I have had so far and I have been coming here to Dublin for the past two years .
Will come back every time now.
Best place in Dublin!! We spend last weekend here and the Norseman was by far our favourite place!! Perfect location in the middle of temple bar, awesome staff (especially the barkeeper!!) huge selection of drinks, nice and cozy rooms - just perfect! We had so much fun there that we went to the pub every day of our trip :-D And we will definitely come back!! Thanks to the Norseman staff for this great experience!! Your "Hop House friends" from Salzburg!! :)
Nice place to drink a beer and listen to some live music!
Great Dublin Pub. Good music, good food & bar staff that know their trade
Nice pint but no ppl r tourists...and its in the heart of tourism
Great pub in the heart of Dublin. Live music, coctails and beer.
Very good restaurant! I took steak on a stone. High quality beef, Confident bar-tenders
Very good food, delicious spirits, it's worth going and feeling the Irish atmosphere
The most expensive pint in Dublin. Charged nearly 8 a drink. Had one round and left. Atmosphere was poor too of a Saturday. Maybe the cost of drink is driving business in Harcourt Street. Cheaper pints to be had there.
Place is good.enjoyed it,but had jacket stolen from there 17/3/19.green men's jacket with sentimental items inside.
Bar staff were not helpful when asked
Good atmosphere and good space as well as good prices which are a little over the ordinary.
A great place to drink. Very friendly staff. Wish all the bars have staff as friendly as this place!
Not a bad spot, TV's are terrible for sport!! Beer overpriced as with all of temple bar.
Good pub right in the middle of Temple Bar. Cool music and a great atmosphere
Very good but expensive. Very pleasant atmosphere with live music.
