Mashed potatoes weren't real. Soup seemed like canned. Though there were Amish fill out and about in Berlin, I saw none at the restaurant. I take it as a bad sign when I don't see natives (if you will) at a restaurant. I won't be back.

Middle of the road ... Not much in the way of variety but what they had was good. Very clean an a pleasant staff. A bit overpriced for what they had to offer ... But they kind of have the market wrapped up ... Not much else in the area!

Berlin Farmstead is an excellent place to stop for a good meal after a day of shopping and sightseeing in Amish Country. The salad bar is great and the main courses are even better. Samantha was our server and she provided outstanding service.

Great place. SUPER clean, nice atmosphere. Was seated quickly despite the long line. Food was good, pretty close to the other area buffets in taste. Didnt order from the menu, however. The peach dumpling was AMAZING !!!!!!

Our server was nice and the food was tasty. The service is a bit slow and you have to wait outside in a line in the cold for a table. The bathrooms smell like porta potties and aren t very clean. I would come back again but use the restroom before I leave home and maybe come on a warmer day.

The food was good but the service was absolutley terrible. We had to wait to eat because we had no forks. We waited almost a half hour for a check even though the waitress said 4 times she would be back with it. We finally just got in line to pay and them she brought it to us. We did complain but the person we paid did not appear to care.

If you want a lot of food this is the place for you. If you want good HOME-MADE food.... Don't go here. Most of their food comes in frozen or premade in a bucket from a restaurant supply company. They're baked goods ingredients are a mile long. Nothing is made from scratch. They are made from a mix and are full of preservatives.

Ever since they got taken over by that Amish restaurant conglomerate, the prices have gone up and the food went down in quality. It's still a good place to eat and the buffet is still best in town, but it was definitely better in the past.

My husband and I took another weekend in Holes County and on the recommendation of our Inn Keeper, we dined at the Berlin Farmstead Restaurant. On their web page it says reservations are required, but I called and they said there was currently no line, so we would be able to get right in. This was the off season, so that was probably why, but even then there was a pretty good crowd, and after eating the food, I can understand why.

We ordered the buffet and had our fill of mashed potatoes, chicken, noodles, pumpkin souffle, stuffing, salad, dessert. We ordered the deluxe pie, which was an additional $2.50 with the buffet. We were both too stuffed to eat it, so we took it with us. I'm glad we did because this was the best pie I have had in a long time.

The price was reasonable and the service great. This was a Friday night and there were a lot of Amish families dining there as well ... A birthday party for one family that took up a back section of the restaurant.

We plan on going back on our next visit.

Very disappointed in this place. For obvious reasons, we did not order from the buffet. The facility was clean but the atmosphere is very sterile and "cafeteria" like. 4 people in my party, two were teenagers who ordered the chicken fingers and fries and our bill was still $80. The fish was overcooked and rubbery while the other deep fried foods appeared as if the fryer oil needs changed. The coleslaw was horrible (warm). Very small portions as well not that that matters as much. Will not be going back here. Our server was very friendly.

A very mixed experience...had the buffet, chicken and brisket we're good, fish was terrible, very limited vegetable selection and desert s. Definitely not authentic Amish food. Service was only fair.

Everytime we have gone to this area to visit we always stop here to eat unfortunately this time the food was very disappointing. It will be our last time. There are way to many nice restaurants in the area to waste time and money eating here.

My husband and I had dinner after the Animal Sale.......I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and I must say that it was the absolute best teriyaki I've ever eaten! Theres no other place that is even remotely close to theirs and I love the iced cut out cookies just as much. Today we drove 4 hours just to eat at Berlin Farmstead....IT WAS JUST AS GOOD 2DAY AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME. We will be back.

Great service, food and atmosphere. The chicken noodle soup was so good..only thing that bothered us were several large groups that didnt have masks on while in the restaurant. We're not the mask police but if its supposed to be in restaurants why were those allowed to not follow the protocol?

I had the buffet... $14, (about $3 - $6 more than the meal prices), and it was EXCELLENT. A large selection of salads, (tossed w/many choices, like eggs, mushrooms, olives, cheese, etc, and several dressings, as well as potato salad, macaroni salad, pasta salad, sauerkraut salad, 2 kinds of cole slaw, etc, etc, etc), and a great selection of main dishes... Fried chicken, beef roast, ham, pan-seared chicken, etc, and sides like noodles, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, gravies, and many more. Of course there were desserts, but to be honest, the few I tried were surprisingly mediocre. But other than that, the food, the service, and the atmosphere were great. I even received a warm dinner roll with butter and homemade peanut butter spread. Very pleased with this restaurant, and I will visit again when I'm in the area.

Employees very friendly, very clean, only 3 stars because the food was not very good. Very disappointed and that this is the same as Der Dutchman that we also went to and was disappointed. So if you eat one dont bother with the other. Same menu and food.
