Simply amazing. Wow. I visited Pursell Farms today for the first time and was blown away. From the moment you drive onto the grounds and are admitted through the gates by a security guard (he confirms you have a t-time), you're presented with beautiful tree lined roads that lead you to the clubhouse. I arrived in the morning around 9:15am so the mowers were still out doing their work. What a fun setting. The clubhouse was elegant and had a small locker room area with a shower. As you approach your first hole, they have complimentary cold waters available in styrofoam cups and cold green apples in a barrel. Range balls are included with your rates and the range has multiple flags to Target as well as some chipping nets. The course was stunning and the carts had a touch pad tablet that tells you how far you are from the hole as you drive. Amazing experience. If you're visiting Birmingham and looking for a place to have a great golfing experience, you definitely need to check out FarmLinks.

Amazing course. Great difficulty, but a challenge with beautiful scenery. The only con is that it's far removed from town, but that's probably makes it more exceptional.

A hidden gem in Alabama! So much to do here. Natural beauty and surroundings as far as the eye can see. Put Pursell Farms on your "must visit" list. You'll want to go again and again.

This is an incredible place. Beautiful setting, elegant country decor, spectacular food and attentive service. Treat yourself to a long weekend.

From the moment we arrived the hospitality and facilities were amazing. The golf course carved into the hill side and farm land was both beautiful to view and challenging to play thank-you for a most excellent adventure .

Pursell Farms is everything you could imagine from the world class dining to the fast golf carts each guest has available to them personally so you can get to the main lodge bar to enjoy many of the finest spirits offered.

Wide open fairways on most holes; easily 40-60 yards wide. Very slow play on Saturday (5 hour round). Played again Sunday, much better pace (3:40)

One of the nicest courses that I played here in the Birmingham area. Even though it's a little drive to get there from Birmingham, it's well worth it. The greens were phenomenal. As well as the fairways and everything about the course. It's a must play....!

My first time there. Fantastic accommodations and food. Stayed for a business meeting but understand they have a world class golf course for golf enthusiasts.

The facilities they have are first class. We stayed in the cabins for an event and ate multiple times at the restaurant. The food is really good and so is the service at the restaurant. Where this place misses the 5 star mark is overall customer service at the corporate level. They didn't answer the phones and seem to lack experience and training when it comes to check in and greeting. Telling me the room is "down the hill" and then acting flustered when paperwork was missing, blaming it on the person who was working before they got there is not something I would expect at a place this nice. When the staff mirrors the facilities it will be an elite venue.

Phenomenal course and atmosphere. The layout is superb and greens are in great shape. They definitely take their golf seriously here. Staff is friendly and food is good also. I played in the fall and it was gorgeous.

Had ab awesome dinner at the pub. Stayed out on the patio for a bit and. Had a few drinks. We were lucky enough to run into some friends. I highly suggest this place to stay for a weekend or just for dinner. Btw, the scotch eggs are awesome.

This place has it all and they put YOU first in everything they do. Sporting Clay's (Orvis), golf, fishing, biking, spa, pool, Farm-to-Table restaurant, first class accommodations and beautiful grounds. Do not be fooled by the location. This place is great.

Blake Garret provided great assistance for the clay shooting and the property is amazing. The restaurant was a little understaffed the weekend we were there but otherwise a wonderful experience.

Went to Tom's Pub for a birthday dinner with our 10 y/o granddaughter, family, and her friends. The staff was excellent, the food was wonderful, and the price was amazing. Highly recommend Pursell Farms for anyone. Has golf, spa, sporting range, hotel, and UTV tours. Awesome place

The Resort was awesome! Great food and friendly staff. Lodging was fantastic. Golf course was wet from recent hard rains but it was a challenging layout. Would love to play it again. Also, shooting clay pigeons was the best. Also would like to try it again. Would definitely recommend this resort to my friends.

FarmLinks is a beautiful relaxing spa retreat. The golf coarse is amazing. The landscape here is outstanding this is a fantastic place to relax. If you want a wonderful experience I suggest you come and see for yourself. Everyone here is so friendly they make you feel like your family.

One of the best places to get out and get away - Pursell farms is heaven on earth.

I went to Farmlinks for lunch today, only to learn they have changed all the menus since they opened the Inn and they no longer have the delicious and unique sandwiches I have gone there for over the past few years. They had a $10 sandwich bar at the Grill and your basic bar food at the "pub". It appears they are now more interested in selling alcoholic beverages than keeping their lunch customers. I have always taken friends and out of town guest to Farmlinks for a unique and delicious excursion. Guess those days are over. They said they would make me the burger off the old menu, but they didn't have bacon jam, the specialty item of the burger. My all time favorite was the Dog leg sandwich, which they would make even though it was no longer on the menu. Now they don't have the ingredients for that one either. If I want a regular cheese burger or chicken fingers, I could go somewhere much cheaper and closer to home. Guess I'll have to find a new place to take guest.

Two Tito's and orange juice is the same as 1/2 gal with coop and fees. $ 3200 plus fees. Stormy was a great server!!

Great place to come for a weekend meeting. We also had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Jimmy Pursell for an hour or so. He had such wisdom to share with our group, very impactful.

A bit spendy but well worth it... Awesome cut of steak made to perfection, mashed sweet potatoes (my mouth is watering as I write this) a Salad that is spectacular! What more could you ask for? Served in dining elegance

We visit this course each year with some friends for great golf and adventures! The course is always pristine and one of the most well manicured landscapes you'll ever play. The wide-open fairways and massive greens make scoring routine, which lends itself to fun competition. Stop debating where to go and book a tee time here!! You wont regret it.

The accommodations were great, from the very comfortable mattress and pillows (slept better than at home) to the large walk in shower. The staff was extremely friendly and engaging i.e. Marie and Brittany at the front desk along with Cheyenne on the golf course which was one of the best I've ever played with breathtaking views.

Great course and amenities. Tee to green is spectacular. People just need to quit being lazy and fix their ball marks.

Best public facility in the state (of course it is rated no.1 ) but it truly is. First class service and first class golf operation , pure golf . Great conditions and is fun for any skill level player

Best golf deal in Alabama M-W $59.00. Course condition is 10 out 10. They still gave excellent food. Adult beverages are $$.

Absolutely perfect! Golf course is the best in the US. ATV ride is a must! Horseback riding, swimming,, bicycling... So much to do and a huge place to do it. Well done Pursell family!

Outdoor cooking with Sea Island cookware was entertaining. The food was plentiful with a large variety of dishes. Great appetizers and we enjoyed the Good People's beer. Plan to be there several hours.

Farmlinks is an awesome golf course! I have played here several times and it is always in great shape. The course is pretty open which is nice if you struggle off the tee but is still challenging. I also loved the fact that they had free apples and watermelon on course.

Beautiful property. I participated in the Orvis trap shooting, stayed in the lodge, dined on the grounds, and had such a great time during my visit. Everything was very enjoyable and I will be back again.

The best meal I've had since moving to Alabama, you could cut the steak with a butter knife. Their facilities are beautiful. I'm gonna check into renting a cabin. Would recommend to anyone.
