Farga Restaurante Review

The site has excellent quality, and the cakes etc are very good. This 1 star rating is because I went to have a coffee, they offered me to sit on the terrace (it rained) and they never came to attend us. When we came in to demand that they attend to us, their employees told us that they were forbidden to leave if it rains ... so that they "invite us to take a seat in their tents" However, I will go back for a drink another day (don't rain)

Love the decoration and feeling of the place. Every pastry is well prepared and prices are high. The staff is not that welcoming but they are ok. My white chocolate croissant was delicious as expecred. Probably will go back again to try other dessert.

The experience was tremendous. Ramos a group of 10 people. They gave us the cards with two different menus with the same dishes the only difference was in a first and a second a menu cost 24'90 price that they confirmed to me when booking and the other menu two euros more expensive, obviously they did not give us another Option to pay the one of 26'90, that yes they gave us a bottle of wine that evidently entered the menu, logically they treated us as if we were fools. As for serving a brushstroke, we had to ask for the famous wine several times, even when it was served at the end of the first course. The bread after asking for it several times came in the middle of the second course. Etc ... the meeting was to celebrate an anniversary and when we made the reservation we asked for a cake with its corresponding candles, obviously they did not know anything, they had to improvise. A celebration ruined by a very unprofessional restaurant and staff, questioning the customer at all times.

The chocolate croissant and the coffee are good. The air conditioning was very strong and it was cold inside the premises. I did not like the attitude of one of the waiters. After paying the bill we had enough minutes waiting for the laps. While we waited we saw him chatting as if nothing with the companions. They were few coins and we had to claim them. He decided on his own that they should be tipped? His attitude seemed unprofessional, there are better ways to increase tips. This Diagonal pastry restaurant is a well-known and classic place in this area of Barcelona for the excellence of its dishes and especially its desserts and cakes. Unmodern, because it still breathes the refinez and elegance of yesteryear in a decoration and design that have barely changed for many years, it is not an attractive place for young people and less for their pockets.
What I like the most: the quality of cakes and sweets is indisputable.
I like it less: its quality being unquestionable, the prices are quite high, and there does not seem to be much innovation in the creation of desserts; We find the classic. And on the other hand, the dark and cold character of the place, both for its poor lighting and for the staff that serves it, make it unfriendly.
