Had to visit FBC offices to obtain copies of council tax bill for last 6 years, spoken to revenue officer Mr Andrew Freeman who understood an issue and printed out bills for last 3 years there and then with other 3 to follow via email within of 3-4 working days as they are stored in archive. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised to receive remaining copies same afternoon. Thank you very much Mr. Freeman and well done FBC for making this happen.
In comparison few years back I had same enquiry with Southampton CC and requested copies couldn't be provided for some reason.
they ahve vastly improved theior level of service over the last few years, and they also have hired people who no longer view visitors as a nucence that they need to get rid of quickly.
The team in housing benefits have been incredibly helpful the last 16 months since my husband became ill. I ve been dealt with patiently and respectfully. They have given excellent advice and taken their time with me, never felt rushed.
I also have to praise our refuse collectors.
Bang on time every week, polite, friendly, bins and grass bags returned.
Don t feel they get enough credit.
My only gripe is housing as we ve been on the list over 8 years and even when housing benefit sent us to housing on behalf of my husband s condition, they couldn t do anything. Rarely make contact n feel we ve been forgotten about.
Apart from that, I think they are very good.
I used to get very anxious contacting anything like this but have no hesitation contacting Fareham borough council.
Without going into personal details, I wish to express how helpful all the staff are at FBC.
Whether it's the telephone or reception staff, or the housing officers, everyone is polite, respectful, and ultimately helpful. They have all helped me numerous times over the past few years, and I can't fault one of them.
