Amazing mansion and enjoyed it until I had to go to the Mens room. They make you completely exit the building, return your audio device, then its 5 minutes to a very remote 2 nd fl location by the market place then you have to go back on line to re-enter; the line was so long that I gave up and was not able to finish the tour. Not worth it!

What an amazing house! It's truly remarkable to go through a forest and suddenly came out and feel like you are in France! The rooms are simply outstanding, nothing like any other home you've seen in America. They are all impeccably maintained, with wonderful attention to display. You truly feel it's how it looked back in the day. The only drawback is the rather expensive ticket does not come with a tour guide. Although we used the audio one, which was adequate, I would have loved to have been able to ask more questions of someone. When I did stop to ask a question to an employee I got a rather unsure answer and they acted a little affronted that I talked to them.
The Biltmore is a must see and experience place! It is amazing the history and massive size of the property and house! Hard to imagine how they could create such a beautiful place in such a rustic area!!! It is like a place for royalty!!!
My wife wanted to just drive by and see the house, but we found out you can not see it without paying to get in. We ended up doing the day pass and toured the house, which some people probably enjoy. It wasn't really or thing, but we did enjoy the gardens and farm area! We had our 6 year old with us and got the normal complaints from her about heat outside and "it's boring" for the house tour. She did like petting animals and playing on the big playground at the village area. The do have a good military/veteran discount.
A wonderful place to visit and see another time. Of course, it is amazing to see the house, go and visit the winery and enjoy all the estate offers.
The resort is expensive and may be worthwhile one time, but that's all. The visit to the house was difficult due to the many narrow stairs. Some of the restaurants were good, but others tended to over-charge.

Love going to Biltmore and just being outdoors having a picnic by the river. The property is beautiful and we are so lucky to be able to enjoy it whenever we want!

It's gorgeous at Biltmore! I can see why people from all over the country visit it. You can take photographs for personal use. But do NOT use a flash. A couple of people did, a worker noticed, and didn't know who it was, but kindly reminded everyone to not use flash photography. They're all friendly and helpful workers.

A must see if you're in the area. There is so much to see at the Biltmore estate. The staff is friendly, prices are fair, and dress is casual. Also, visit the gardens and barn.

The Biltmore has great history and is fascinating to look at. The price is a little higher than it should be, in my opinion. But I do like that it's completely self guided and you can take as many pictures as you want. Also, the little "treasure map" for kids keeps them interested nicely while allowing parents to enjoy the features of the house along with them.

This is a must go place when visiting the area! The house is beautiful but the property is huge and there is so much to do!! Christmas at Biltmore is so beautiful and it's not the same from year to year which is very neat indeed! I love visiting here!
Wow! 250 rooms. Are you kidding me. Definitely get audio guide. Plan on minimum of 3 hours. Food not crazy priced, pulled pork $9.90. overall worth the trip. Also visit antler village.
Highly recommend getting the audio guided tour along with your visit. It's a simple cell phone-like device you listen to recordings that explains details about each room. Also, I recommend visiting the gardens early before it gets too hot. Definitely worth the walk out to see the boat house and just beyond that is a beautiful waterfall!

This was our first time visiting and we had a blast! We were fortunate enough to be able to make it up here while they still had the Chihuly glass exhibit. We made our way to Antler Hill Village for dinner and wine tasting! Our servers at both Cedric's and The Bistro were amazing! I can't wait to make it back there with our bikes to explore even more!
This is a wonderful place to visit. Beautiful grounds and part of American history. Paying extra for a guided tour is well worth it. Feel free to ask questions of the staff. They were very knowledgeable and happy answer questions. Also, be sure to check out the winery and explore the free wine tasting.

A remarkable piece of royal Americana, the architecture and it's grounds are a worthy trek, let alone the treasure trove of history found within! Audio tours are highly recommended (def worth the money), and the Christmas tours are simply an astounding sight to behold. Truly a gem! It even features it's own shops and eateries, which are definitely top of the line!
Stunning vistas, gardens, and home. Winery is fun. Restaurants are fabulous albeit expensive.
Stunning property and home but it is very overpriced. My husband and I went there some years ago and it was sensibly priced, which made it nice for the average income household to enjoy all aspects of that beautiful estate.
Five stars for the house and gardens. Beautiful and well kept. The audio tour is DEFINITELY worth a little extra cost. Allowing yourself 3-4 hours for the house is a good idea. Longer if you want to explore the gardens and even longer if trying to go to the Village and winery. Three stars for ease of pickup/drop off if using public transport. This was a huge factor in my enjoyment for the day. The only lot one can be picked up or dropped off in has almost no cell signal (can't connect to Uber or call a cab) and no freestanding phone. The tickets are purchased at a building several miles from the actual house and gardens, so your cab either waits for you or you have to call another. Depending on the day, it can take 20 to 45 minutes in the ticket line. And last but not least, there is no transport between the house and the village (several miles, not walkable at all) without buying a separate trolly/bus tour. It's not just a ride, it's a whole coordinated tour. Cabs can't pick you up at the house, so see the first point about signal up there. It makes it REALLY HARD to enjoy the whole shebang without your own car for the day. Just be aware so you can plan for these issues accordingly!
Ive been more times than I can count and it was always a fun time. Everything about the property is so beautiful. I highly recommend visiting during Christmas. It's an unforgettable sight!
The land was beautifully laid out and maintained, the service was very good. Lots of convenient things to do on the estate. The rooms in the village were beautiful, but the bed was not very comfortable. This was my first time here and I was bummed to find out that I could not get tickets to get into the Biltmore or go horseback riding with only 1 day notice. We found much better quality restaurants off the estate. I guess I'll have to go back to go inside the house. It's worth a trip once or twice, but that's about it. The gardens and walking trails were my favorite and would definitely recommend going when everything is in bloom.
Impressive beautiful estate. Highly recommend. It's not cheap so plan a full day to get you monies worth. Walk the grounds and gardens. Go to the shopping village and visit the winery. Plan on having either a light lunch or if preferred a more formal lunch in the estate restaurant.
This place is amazing. This is my second time coming and I plan another trip soon. Every trip seems to be a little different! There are some things I didn t experience the last time! It s so overwhelming; that s how big the property is and there is so much to do. I m so happy I got to come with my love and my puppy. They allow your pets with you to the outside garden s but pet s are not welcome inside the house. Also pet s cannot go on the shuttle so be sure to take comfortable walking shoes. This place is a bit pricey so save your pennies.

Expensive, crowded, overrated, cant get near anything to really appreciate the crafts manship. Herded through like cattle. Probably really nice if you could get time to take it in. Gardens are what brought me up to a 3 star otherwise it would be a two.

Visiting the Biltmore Estate should be at the top of your bucket list! There is nothing in Europe more impressive than the home of George and Edith Vanderbilt, set in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
Truly a must see! From the 3 mile driveway to the estate itself is breathtaking. The architecture,the views and the overall feel of the grounds is breathtaking. Be sure to give yourself a minimum of 90 min for the basic house tour. If there available do a behind the scenes tour or the rooftop tour, it's worth the money! Also worth it....the audio tour. Just get it. The grandure of this estate is beyond measure and when you think about the fact it was built pretty much for 2 people and an infant....it's just wow. The restoration on parts was superb and the staff are extremely happy and friendly. Some of the things you see are amazing....like the indoor pool and electricity from the 1890s! The gardens are gorgeous, and I can't wait to go back... I am certain I missed stuff. Enjoy your time and make a day of it!!
Unbelievable. The whole experience from the rooftop tour, to the house, to the shops, to the gardens, to the village, the winery, to our Segway tour and lunch. It was all so memorable. We became annual pass holders and hope to come back 2 or 3 more times over the next year.
What's not to love? It's America's treasure/castle.
The service is awesome! The food on the estate is pricey but there are plenty of places to eat close to the estate. Everyone who works at the Inn are very friendly and helpful. Van, one of the shuttle drivers is so full of information about the estate.
We paid Disneyworld ticket prices ($548 for a family of 6) for about an hour at Biltmore (entry time to the house was 4:30pm, and staff began telling us they were closing the house starting at 5:15pm. When we came outside at 6pm, the cafe and gift shops were closed. We were told that the front lawn was closing for a wedding, and that everyone needed to leave. None of this was mentioned on the website - we and another family were under the impression we could stay until 7pm when we bought our tickets. None of this is a huge deal. What IS a huge deal is that I've tried to reach customer service on at least four occasions, and have spent at least three hours on hold - to no avail. I've sent two customer service tickets via e-mail - no response. Today I'll mail a letter to the VP of Hospitality. In the meantime - it is truly buyer beware here: if you have any problems with your pricey visit to Biltmore, don't expect post-visit customer service.
Great experience. Be sure to pay for the audio guide. Valet parking is a must. Would suggest going when its not excessively hot.
Engineering masterpiece, amazing shape after all these years. A must see for the whole family..... highly recommend the headphone guided tour. ... Highs: house, gardens, greenhouse and a nice lunch at a reasonable price. Lows: 1. crown jewel of each room is a 1980s security camera hung sideways staring you in the face. 2. An army of ill tempered employees running this way and that and the lunch area courtyard in need of sweeping.
For all the effort they put in to make you enjoy your time there (that is successful I might add !!!) they really do have an ABSOLUTELY CRAP website ! Open times wrong, hard to navigate, menus are short like they were too lazy to add everything, and it seems to deliberately leave out shady pricing information until you buy your tickets. Great time but be very cautious to gather ALL the information.
I liked the place but the website needs to tell you to get tickets in advance and to make reservations for the restaurants in advance, if not you may not get in or have to wait 1 1/2 to 2 hrs or more at the restaurants.
I didn't get a chance to go inside the Biltmore house, but everything else was great.
The house is amazing and fascinating but the rest of the property is not.. Antler Hill village is a huge disappointment. No wonder there is a long line for the free wine tasting, as it is about the only thing to do there. The Downton Abbey exhibits are basically just props from the show and don't tell you anything you didn't already know. The on-property dining is ok but pales in comparison to the Asheville dining scene. Enjoy the estate house, skip the rest.
Wonderful atmospheric and genuine 19th century reconstruction of a French Chateau - jaw dropping in size and detail. Wonderful tapestries and paintings - a real slice of 19th century life for the wealthy classes.
Literally heaven on earth. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and between the drive in and the dinners, wine tastings, tours, horseback rides, carriages, and the comfortable hotel rooms, this is the epitome of luxurious getaway.
Biltmore House is exceptional both inside and outside of the house. The craftsmanship is extraordinary and the landscaping is incredible as well.The estate's employees are kind and courteous. The service from the cafe nearby is fast.
Extremely overpriced and they charge you for every other little thing as well. This is a big cash grab that you'd be better off avoiding. Spend your time and money elsewhere

I would go back. If I lived in Ashville I would buy a season pass to walk the grounds for exercise. The stable cafe was very good. You need at least 2 days to see everything. Such a beautiful place.
Went for a 3 day vacation, had a great time Service was excellent. Enjoyed walking to the winery and touring Biltmore house Transportation on property is suspended due to COVID-19 so Lyft was the only option if you don t have a car. Highly recommend!
Beautiful! If you stay at the inn and get the gold shuttle pass, the shuttle bus drivers tell you so much about the estate!
Beautiful. Tickets are about 69 with tax for a single adult to do a self guided tour. I recommend sneakers no heels for walking. Bring walking sticks the hills are pretty steep. Being a fanny pack no purses allowed. Also schedule your tour about 2 hours out from arrival so you have time to walk the landscape. I did 3 with time to double back to my car for lunch.
Absolutely beautiful. The priceless works of art and relics located throughout the house are stupendous. A great place to look into the life of the past and American history.

Great visit! Personnel were very friendly and helpful. My advice for an enjoyable visit: 1) This is very important, GO AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE to beat the crowd! 2) Rent the audio tour device. 3) Buy the Deer Park buffet tickets. (The menu selection was very good as well as the food itself, service and staff. 4) Take the time to visit as much of the estate as possible and wear comfortable shoes. There are other house and estate tours available, ask in advance. We arrived at 8:45 a.m. and left at 6 p.m. The winery gets very busy, quickly. Hope this helps everyone. RTR!
This place was beautiful, but the staff was rude. There was no tour guide with a narrative on what we were looking at. We were basically told to go "this direction " and I personally had a negative experience. My wife was unhappy after we missed parts of the tour.
A special place to visit. The palace has got so much American culture and history to share. Very impressive.
I have always loved visiting Biltmore. In November I purchased season passes for my husband and I. I am disappointed that entrance to the Downton Abbey exhibit will require the purchase of additional tickets. However, the entrance to the exhibit is included for those with a day pass or overnight stay. This is NOT the proper way to treat loyal customers.
Beautiful estate, would definitely recommend spending a whole day here as you need time to explore the house and the gardens and then go explore the village with the winery and restaurants. Also don t worry about your ticket time at all you will be let in even if you are late. Parking is easy accessible and has buses running you into the Estate every few minutes

We visited in mid March and was still a great experience. But it would have been even more beautiful if we came later in the spring! The audio guides are worth the money!

I just love Biltmore. They change it up so you can go 100 times and still find something new. The gardens are my favorite. My husband and I have packed picnics and had a lunch date on the hill overlooking the house. The house isnt really friendly to those with limited mobility, just be aware of that.
Rich history and a go-at-your-own-pace audio tour. The grounds are spectacular drawing many artists and photographers. Personally knew two couples who got engaged here. Highly recommend the Bistro and winery tour - the Red Blend ended up being one of our house wines. Also can't pass up the creamery. :)
The estate and grounds are beautiful. As a local and annual pass holder we re disappointed that we can no longer drive by the mansion.
