We stayed in a lagoon view room and it was gorgeous! Perfect location between the lobby and beach. And we were only two minutes from the main pool. Great atmosphere for families to enjoy a relaxing time. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Don't forget to get the all inclusive, it's worth it.

OH my God! From the moment you enter the grounds, GORGEOUS scenery! The staff and workers are all very nice, and fluent in English. The rooms are large and very clean, and beautiful. The restaurants, shops, pools, are extraordinary! The white sandy beaches are breathtaking! It's a MUST stay for you and your family. I miss it already!

We felt like royalty at the Fairmont Mayakoba resort. The staff is to be commended for their professionalism yet relaxed manner in how they treated their guests.

Our room was beautiful...a nice layout with a balcony overlooking the golf course by the river. We enjoyed watching the boat cruises as they leisurely floated by.

Our meals were second to none...beautifully plated and served with a smile. The menus offered many choices to suit all tastes.

We were well looked after by the pool with fresh fruit offered and even having our sunglasses cleaned. Such service!

This is a 5 ***** in every sense of the way. Go and experience yourself.

Staffs are wonderful and very helpful. The room is nice, but plumbing fixtures are wearing out. The restaurants are very good, except for El Puerto. The menus are limited, and the service is also so so. I ordered Sashimi, which was supposed to bring 5 pieces, but it was really 4 and 1/2 pieces. For the price they charge, it was sub-standard and cheap. And, I also ordered vegetable tempora, and it had unchewable pieces of asparagus! Tempora batter has to be light and fluffy, and I don't think the chef knew how to make good tempora. I presume expecting a good Asian-fusion style in Mexico was too much.

We stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba in 2018 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. This was our second stay there. We absolutely love this resort the property, rooms, beach, pools, restaurants, service, and staff. We ve been to Mexico many times and stayed at a number of all-inclusive properties, but the Fairmont Mayakoba is our favorite. First, the property grounds are stunningly gorgeous with tropical trees, foliage, and flowers everywhere you look, and all of it impeccably maintained every day. The serene beauty and peaceful tranquility of the entire property is what keeps us coming back.

We enjoyed breakfast at La Laguna, outside overlooking the canal and jungle. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, full of variety, and delicious. Some mornings there s a harp player. Every morning there are Falconers with their falcons on duty to protect the diners from hungry birds fun to watch and very effective! We recommend having dinner at El Puerto for the quality of the food, service, and ambiance. They even accommodated our request one night for a dish not on the menu! On our last night, they brought us a dessert with the words thank you for your visit written in chocolate across the plate. The Las Brisas restaurant has a huge palapa style beach bar which sits right on the ocean front highly recommended for a cocktail while watching the sunset, or lunch while at the beach. Also, do not miss the free boat ride that gives you a nature tour via a network of canals, where you ll see all kinds of jungle wildlife.

As for the staff, they were wonderful and top-notch and many could anticipate what a guest might need/want before being asked.
The front desk attendants do a beautiful job taking care of whatever needs you might have. The hotel entrance staff were equally wonderful. One day a driver arrived to take us to Chichen Itza. The Fairmont attendant heard this and gave us towels to take with us anticipating how hot and sweaty we d likely be after this all-day jungle excursion. That s essentially the attitude of the entire staff to anticipate what guests might need before they even ask. If you d like a relaxing vacation immersed in awesome natural beauty, while being pampered with personalized service, you will love the Fairmont Mayakoba. which offers tranquility, natural beauty, luxurious comfort, fresh innovative cocktails and cuisine, along with genuine, friendly service.

Had a great stay. Paid for the all inclusive food package and it was well worth it after seeing the menu prices. Huge grounds for exploring and connecting with nature. Prime golfing is available. Many things to do for a long weekend while you re there.

A very beautiful place !!, The beach formidable and clean! The attention of the staff of the best, the delicious mayakoba burger, the bad thing is that all the letters are in dollars even though you are in Mexico that disappointed me!

Wow wow wow I loved this beautiful hotel. Visit the boutique that is very close to reception. The toys are Mexican, I like nothing of MADE IN CHINA. The coatis are beautiful! It is a nice detail because here they abound and the real ones, not stuffed animals, are super friendly.

Such a beautiful resort. The service is so friendly and attentive. We are here during Covid shutdown, so incredibly limited hours and services on everything. Once fully open, I m sure it is spectacular. I m giving the 5 star rating because the quality, service and accommodations are the best - and we can t wait to return when everything is fully open.

It is a real 5-Star experience in Fairmont fashion
Everything is top notch from reception onwards. Staff go out of their way to please guests. The facilities are first class and the resort is beautiful with a fantastic private beach. Food quality is awesome and I especially enjoy the Asian-Latin fusion restaurant. I strongly recommend taking in the boat tour that's available on site.

Excelete customer service from everyone who works here. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, an agreement that leaves you with anti-mosquito spray. The food is delicious in any of the restaurants they choose. We had the Day of the Dead celebration and it was a very good experience. They have free activities on the beach such as volleyball, football, kayaking, paddle, among others. I recommend it 100%

Looks great online when we arrived we had issues with our air conditioning not working well and our room smelled strongly like mildew, the shower squirted all over the place the window did not close all the way ect. We called the front office about it and they acted like they would take care of it and they sent some guys over who spoke no English and told us everything is fine as is. The room would not get below 72 degrees Fahrenheit in the shower was clearly squirting out the bottom all over. We spent close to a week here on the mayakoba campus and the food was really not my style even with the all-inclusive food package. Two of the days we did not have the package and everything was very expensive. The service also sucked, if you were at the pool or Beach there was no chance in hell someone was going to bring you a drink and if they did it would take them 45 minutes. This was with the gratuity included in our package and us tipping extra cash. And since the entire Resort is not all inclusive you constantly have to wait forever to get the check and sign for what you "purchased" on your package.
I much prefer the all-inclusive resorts where you can come and go as you please eat and drink as much as you want and they will never let your glass get empty, I expected a better experience given the cost of this place

The rooms are large, comfortable and spacious. They provide the best soap/shampoo: "Le Labo". The trip on the river to get between the properties, to go to lunch, dinner or the beach, is an experience in itself -- bird-watching, alligators.....an enormous property shared with two other major resorts. My only complaint is the quality of the food does not justify the high cost. We were disappointed by the Banyan Tree Thai dinner we had, as well as the one at Las Brisas.

Although I did not stay the night at Fairmont and was only there for dinner at their beach side restaurant, I can attest that the service was beyond spectacular with smiles all around. I hope to get the chance to experience the food there again sometime soon as the quality was spectacular.

Cool place (specially for golfers) with many good things and a few that need to improve. We spend 4 nights at the Fairmont Mayakoba. The Mayakoba experience itself is amazing, independent from the resort you chose. The Fairmont offers more of a family oriented experience, with amenities that will keep the little ones busy and if you're into golf, the resort offers a course that is part of the official PGA circuit in latin America. From the "jungly" experience, surrounded by the sounds of exotic birds, to the choice between different restaurants (reviewed independently) and extensive selection of amenities, the Fairmont offers a broad portfolio of vacation experiences to be enjoyed as a couple or with the entire family. Thumbs up: friendly staff, efficient golf cart transportation within the complex, amazing tropical gardens and impecable rooms. Thumbs down: "palapa" availability on the beach zone (when occupancy is high), access to complementary bikes can be tricky depending on the location and time of the day, you need to pay extra for access to the SPA, really?!
