Beautiful property. You can never go wrong with a Fairmont property. Staff is always extremely courteous and helpful.

Quite busy with the general public. Once the hotel staff realized which room we were staying in, they were more attentive and offered a better service.
We had a few issues, however, staff were great and were helpful. Sunny was amazing.
I'd recommend staying in the Gatehouse part of the hotel as it's quieter than the hustle and bustle of the main part of the hotel.
Tip: order breakfast and dinner at the pizza place downtown. They have an app and delivery is quick. They do muffins and bagels.
Beautiful hotel . Amazing scenery. A little " old" but that is part of the charm and history.
Even if you're not a guest staying at the hotel, it is a beautiful historic building that is worth a visit. We enjoy waking through the halls to appreciate the architecture and ambience of this luxury hotel.
Fantastic facilities. Great resort and experience. Staff was courteous and professional.
Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel will take you back in time, a time when the railway ruled travel and built the best hotels. Yet time has not forgotten this hotel, as it is filled with all the modern amenities you could imagine, from a spa and heated outdoor pool with mountain view, to fine shops and even bowling! Our room was cozy and warm and the bathroom was nicely updated. The service was 5 star all the way, from the valet, to concierge and waitstaff. Come enjoy timeless elegance and sophistication at Banff Springs Hotel.
Enjoyed a terrific stay during the holidays and the hotel's "Christmas in the Castle". The hotel is beautifully decorated during the season, and lots of activities kept things interesting. Highly recommend the heritage tour that's free for hotel guests.
Beautiful old hotel. However, it could use a bit of updating in the rooms. Service is great. I suppose my biggest gripe is one that they can't really do anything about: it is a tourist attraction, so there are bus loads of people just milling about everywhere
Friendly staff. Rooms are very clean. Beds are quite comfortable.
Depending on the type of room, those rooms in the older building are smaller, and in bad needs of renovation and refurbishing. The newer rooms are very expensive. Site and surrounding are wonderful.
Love this hotel, you can always meet very interesting people while sitting in the lounges looking at the amazing views and enjoying a drink and some food.
Great service and excellent food. A bit pricy though.
Nice room and well situated to walk into Banff. I stayed a couple nights and found it a bit pricy..
The extra charges are crazy. But it was very nice. The pool hours should be extended not cut. So more people have the chance to use it!
Such a beautiful place.
Amazing outdoor view! Great food and drinks! I want to go back.
We explored and had a lot of fun at the castle in the mountains.
Amazing setting steeped in history. Rooms are "heritage" (small and old). Pool and facilities are old and tired (but still pretty cool). Spa pools and area is nicer but feels like getting nickel and dimed when you have to pay extra to get in and the nightly rate is already one of the most expensive in the Country. Gold floor is over-priced and serves leftover food from the other restaurants. Nice that the bell hops and staff won't accept a tip. Frankly they're the ones who deserve it. Waitstaff are disorganized and disinterested. Neat to have so many staff from all over the world - maybe a bit more service training would be nice. Come for a visit but save hundreds nightly by staying somewhere else. Fairmont is on the downswing.
Simply the worst fairmont in the country. The Castello's restaurant food was extremely salty and took over 45 minutes to come out - COLD! After the food came the bill which we had to get up and get ourselves after waiting nearly half and hour.
The rooms were cold, small, and the washroom kept making a drainage sound every 2 minutes disturbing our rest. We transferred back to the palliser in Calgary at 2 in the morning and had to pick up fast food because of our terrible dinner. The manager Emma didn't seem to want to do much but at least she was able to complete that transfer back to the palliser in Calgary.
Great hotel! Clean and comfortable rooms. Bed was beyond comfortable! I even asked what was the mattress brand, pillows and bedding. We had the best sleep ever :) Restaurant on property serves delicious breakfast! Would stay again!
I may have only visited the outside area, but it was a magical experience as a tourist to see such a grand hotel ..it looks unreal like it just come out from a poster.
Amazing place. Our room was large enough. Bathroom on the smaller side only because it was constructed early 1900's. Useable though.
Great location. Fantastic views. Very luxurious hotel. Has included conference center for business visitors.
Excellent place to sightsee. Must stop place for Banff.
Very nice place, good scenery and location. Lots and lots of amenities and the hotel is a nice place to walk around in. I still don't think the rooms were anything special, and therefore it really doesn't justify a standard rate of over $300 (sometimes it can be as high as 500)/night. But that's just me.
Attended the high tea for a bachlorette weekend with girlfriends. This was my first High Tea experience. Our server Diana was awesome and accommodated our requests and questions without hesitation. What a lovely afternoon to celebrate a special occasion with best girlfriends. Thanks Banff Springs for the memories!
The most beautiful place in Banff I would say, just beautiful!
I went there for bunch with table next to window, which perfectly capture the Rocky's breath taking view. Did I mention about best egg Benedict I even had?
Great hotel, amazing staff and the view is spectacular. Great little outdoor rink behind the restaurant.
I had a slight mishap in the beginning, but they bent over backwards making my engagement very special!
Thank you Tristan! You did an excellent job, and I hope your upper management promote you further!
Aaron
Always a treat to visit. Love the breathtaking views.
They text you about your experience. Its a nice touch.
I visited the Banff Springs with family for the breakfast buffet and to check the public spaces out. I was in awe of the buffet and proceeded to happily eat everything I could lay my hands on. The hotel itself is incredible, and I enjoyed that I could check out displays and learn about the history of the hotel. I was VERY happy to learn that it is a pet friendly hotel, and that fact along with my positive experience will certainly bring me (and my pup) back for a stay in the not-so-distant future.
We went to the restaurant near the pond. Food was good but everything is fairly over priced. Wing night is not as great of a deal as they make it seem.
The outdoor heated pool when the temperature is below freezing is fantastic!
The Fairmont ALWAYS exceeds our expectations! Winter or summer- it is a good time. Multiple restaurants for delicious dining and drinks, a mineral spa, outdoor hot pools, activities for all ages, and we can't forget the ghosts!! I personally have never experienced anything "spooky", however it is fun to explore all the hotel has to offer behind the many doors and hallways! I highly recommend staying here to experience the high class vibes and amazing staff. Don't forget to explore the walking paths around the hotel! It's all worth the pricey getaway!
Positioned perfectly between the majestic Rocky ridges and above the Bow River, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel offers one of the most exquisitely stunning stays in the world.
As with any business, the way that the staff treats their guests and treats each other is the bridge that brings a business across the chasm of ordinary and extraordinary - and this Fairmont location is dedicated to blazing even further ahead on the side of extraordinary.
The immaculate attention to detail - whether it be in the care, design, and luxury of the property or the personal customer service - is what separates them from the rest. From the sweet aroma that fills the main lobby upon entering to the first, warm interaction with the employee at the front valet to the intentional excellence breathed into each room, the experience we enjoyed for our 3-day, 2-night stay here was a start-to-finish masterpiece.
The infamous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel has nurtured more high-end go-getters than Hugh Hefners Playboy Mansion. With many star riddled restaurants, bars, pools, Canadian shops, and the ever so famous Willow Stream Spa, it's a one in a lifetime type of stay.
I strongly suggest you make bring some moneys with you as nothing is included in a room stay which could cost you a minimum of 460$ alone a night!
PICS!
The Banff Springs is one of the nicest hotels/resorts I have ever stayed in. The building is large and stunning, both inside and out. When you first arrive you they make you feel like you are royalty with the level of service they offer, the staff are simply amazing.
The rooms are small although this is understandable given the age of the hotel and in no way does it detract from the comfort of the rooms, the bed was super comfortable.
We will definitely be making this a yearly tradition.
Had Sunday brunch at the Banff Springs. Food was amazing. Service was great. Had a late seating at 2:00 and they still were making fresh food. Self parking was $20 for two hours. Kinda pricey. Great experience overall. We always try to go once a year and we're never disappointed.
Always great coming to the banff springs. Do not pass through banff without visiting here.
Waited for at least 30 minutes for anything that we called down to the desk for. For 300+ a night I would expect better. The bed was also full of Springs that you could feel with very shift of your weight. Not worth the money.
We had lunch on the patio. Beautiful view and great Mexican food for spring/summer 2018.
Went for the Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. Diverse selection of food. The only disappointing part was the $11 per hour for parking if you can't get the free street parking.
It's one of the oldest hotel in Banff. Its quite fascinating to learn about its history. Kids liked the views from the hotel. Amazing part is the ghost story of the building. And, I feel sorry for the king and queen.
Our room was very spacious and had a lovely view. We were sad the stairs down to the falls were under construction but hopefully they will be open soon.
Fabulous piece of architecture. A must see. The terrace and the first 2 floors are open to the public. The food was excellent as well as the service. Incredible landscape view of the terrace.
I did not stay here. I toured the hotel and ate at the wonderful Grapes Bistro. This building is absolutely stunning and full of history. You don't need to be an overnight guest to enjoy this stunning building and the surrounding grounds. The views from the lounge terrace are breathtaking and a must have photo op.
This hotel and the restaurants in it never disappoint Top class service and in the most beautiful setting in Alberta!
Beautiful grounds and stunning views. The hotel is located about 20 minutes from the city's downtown, so an easy walk or quick hop on the bus.
Father's Day Buffet food was outstanding and the service was top notch. Very kid friendly and patient as well !
A great hotel. The only place to stay if you're overnight in the Banff area.
Beautiful hotel. Easy to get lost in if you wandered, but that just made it more fun!
Stayed here as part of my Rocky Mountain train ride across Western Canada... Great hotel exquisite staff and lots of interesting history.
Wonderful stay. Service impeccable from top to bottom. Feels like you are staying at a castle.
I really lover the hot springs it and the hike up was fabulous it was a great time.
The staff are fantastic but their third party IT desk is less so.
Most beautiful hotel I have ever been to! The castle is everything I hoped for!
Only stayed there 1 night, just so we could say we stayed there. Let me say this first: This place is immaculate. They spare no expense and cover every detail. If possible, try to get a room on the back side of the hotel, as it will overlook the Bow River valley and golf course...If you can't, go up to the 8th floor and walk the hallways and you can see the same view. We only ate breakfast at Stock Food and Drink, but it was excellent...
Now, that being said, it's just a hotel and extremely expensive just for a room. The cost of the room does include all gratuities for bell hops/concierge services, shuttles to/from the golf course and downtown, and some other amenities, but I wouldn't come back. On a return trip to Banff, I would rather stay at a hotel on Banff Ave, as it's closer to the action.
