Staff are very friendly and its a nice place for kids, right next to a park

Right next to park and I hear there's a skate park not to far from it too

This Collection, is awesome. So there are various things to do for young people in the area to do. Tons of area to find out or research quitely in tranquility.
In addition to the tons of encyclopedias, there are other types of sources to aid you study or obtain your work completed. Printing solutions are readily available, as well as easy computers linked to the net.

Look, print, or send out emails. With a selection of within your reaches, there is lots for you to absorb yourself with right here. Almost every area deserves to have such a helpful and also beautiful source readily available to individuals that live there. It is an embarassment that because of lack of special financing, numerous are compelled to cutback, or fold. Make sure you promote your public library as much as you can, as these important resouces require all they can obtain, and are disappearing at a fast rate.

When I was a youngster, I would invest hours at a time, researching, playing, as well as learning. The development of innovations has allowed us to do lots of these activities convenitely in our houses, but there are still several tasks you can not due without your public library. Many people won't miss them till they are gone, once they are gone, it's nearly impossible to get them back. Cherrish your public library and battle to preserve its pressence in your area. Help your public library.

Great staff, great resource center for the community!

This location is stiil closed. But, materials can still be checked out online, with curbside pick-up. Returns are placed in boxes located outside the library doors.

When I called to ask why materials are dropped off outside, I was told that due to COVID-19, all returns are quarantined for a period of time before being returned to the shelves.

Spacious, clean,cool, Library. Amazing how much selection they have lots quiet places to sit and a nice parking lot. Get out of the Heat come in and read a book or magazine very restful.

Always serene and peaceful. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff.

We notice the food police near the suspects that eat food while online...if the staff would politely inform these food eating offenders the library is not a restaurant their would be no need to spend our tax dollars on food police..apparently monitoring library patrons behavior is not the library staffs duty..it should be...

Everytime we visit this place we bring in loads of books. During summer we almost send a day there. Go by morning play at the park nearby and kids served free lunch and we sit in for the book reading and come home grabbing loads more.
Evening we again spend time at the park after library closes. This helped in both mental and physical activity.
They do have loads of events almost everyday planed ahead which can be seen in their website.

Sept 2, 2020: Libraries are always fantastic. Thank-you for finding a safe method for the community to still be able to have access to the library collection thru checking out and returning material during these unorthodox times.

So close to home. Love reading a good book, lots of recommendations from staff about new releases.

It is a quaint library, very clean. They offer a lot of classes, including toddler story time. They also have a children's area, with tablets for educational games and a mat with some toys for little ones to play.

A wonderful place for my daughter to socialize, play and interact with new learning technology

Because it is a Regional library it is often open more hours. I was amazed to find a 3 D printer demo. It has a great childrens collection; may folks use the wifi and computer areas. Used books can be purchased and proceeds support the branch.

I love that I can place books on hold online and then pick them up!

Fair oaks library is a favorite of mine because it is located right in the middle of Fair Oaks Park.

LOVE this library. Come here almost every week, and have been coming for 10 years. The staff is always friendly, there is a good selection for my kids to check out, and if they don't have what we want we can always order it through their online system. Easy peasy! They offer some wonderful free programs or at a low cost. Plus the Fair Oaks Park is on the same property so a lot of times we will head over to the playground after we have checked out a bunch of books. Love the Overdrive App the Sacramento Library provides for your phone. Makes it so easy to read and borrow books on my kindle and I can even listen to audiobooks on my phone. So simple!

The librarians at this branch like the patrons. They're friendly, helpful and engaging. What's the best part? There are two, actually. The Fair Oaks-Orangevale Library has Chromebooks to check out while Patrons are in the library. This let's you sit comfortably at any table to work on Google Sheets, or whatever you do online. The other great thing about this branch is that it's served by Bus #28, Monday through Friday. Need to get out of the house, or just getaway? Head for the Fair Oaks Library.

Such a great place to take kids for fun and learning all for free. Our 8yr old was entertained for hours, it cost nothing and we brought more fun home with books and videos.
