Working at ExxonMobil Canada has been a mixed experience. The company has some great initiatives, but there are areas that need improvement. The work-life balance is good, but management could be more transparent with employees.

ExxonMobil Canada is an average company. The management is decent and the pay is fair. However, there isn't much room for growth and the work environment can be quite toxic at times. Overall, it's an okay place to work.

I would like people know how you get treated washing your car at the esso station after the machine breaks and does $6000 of damage to my new cadillac. on sept.28 at 8 am. at Moody Park Esso on sixth in New Westminster.

They display a sign saying touchless car wash , but that's not what happened. half way though my carswash cycle the sprayer arm came undone from the machine , scratching and denting my car all the way around the entire surface.

After reviewing the problem, the manager was apologetic, and said , take your car to icbc and I we will pay the deductible
we have reviewed the video of your car getting washed , and yes indeed the machine is at fault. Is exactly what I was told.

I then asked them for a copy of this video on Nov.26 and the assistant manager told me it wasn t allowed. Although ICBC was send a copy at their request.

On the morning of nov 26 I took my car in to a claim centre , had an estimator go over the damage estimated to be between $6000 and $9000 , and I m going to be charged with a $300 deductible in order to have it fixed.

Now knowing I have a deductible to pay , I try contacting the manager at Esso , with no luck or reply , I have been leaving messages for the manager for three, going on four days now ,and I have not gotten a call back as of yet , but only to tell me the manager isn't in.

On Aug 26 I decided to contact Esso Canada s head office and was routed to a Joel at 1800-576-ESSO (3776).

he explained to me he isn't going to deal with it , and that I should contact ICBC only . I then mentioned that I m out $300 on my deductible , and the right thing for Esso to do is to pay that , or reimburse me for my lost $300.

Joel at Esso told me getting a lawyer might be an option for me. That they will not be paying my deductable , and that was the end of the discussion. I should talk to the Esso store owner or manager.

wow Pay $300 to get your car beat up at ESSO. and then they don't look after you , even though they are at fault.

I even asked for a refund for the car wash at the time it happened , and literally had to yell and fight for it , I literally told them I m not leaving until you refund my carwash , they said to me , no ! NO REFUND ! but you can have another wash. Gee that sounds like a dumb idea I was thinking. they eventually gave me a refund for the carwash after the manager gave the ok. it was only $12.95.

Thier car wash was fixed , up and running that same afternoon on sept 28 when it damaged my car. They fix their machine in a couple hours and it s up and running right away , but they refuse to call me back when I m asking for the $300 deductible that they promised , and save their honour as a respectable business by providing good customer service. It has been almost a month now

and the manager hasn't called me back yet in regards to the $300. they should honour and pay.

I m a customer at Esso Spending over $300 a month on their fuel and carwash facility ect. ,,, they are responsible for the damage on my car and I feel like they are just ignoring it. I feel violated and now my car value has deprieciated a great deal , and this whole scenario is just stressing me out and wasting all my free time . In fact it is interrupting with my sleep pattern. that's how upset I am.

I just want to say to everyone out there beware of the automatic carwashes , and if something goes wrong , I hope the station manager is more responsible than the one I m currently trying to reach.

GOOD luck consumers and beware.
