Always very cool. I don't think they are ever going back to the palace of fine arts. That being said, still very awesome! No tactile dome any longer but great stuff for all ages. Great looking food court...sushi, wow!

We took our kids and they loved it. They have observatory area, my daughter enjoyed examining the rocks and sands, watching the boats from the big windows, experimenting different objects. Although the entrance fee is expensive but it's worth getting the membership. There are so many things to see and try out. I loved this place and we'll be coming back soon.

The Exploratotium was such a fun and exciting place to visit. With or without kids! Tons of exhibits and things to do, hands on, mixed media Fun and Exciting. Easy to find and easy to get to right on the pier! There are lots of parking options and relatively easy walk right to the Exploratotium. So many places around to visit and see. I highly recommend putting the Exploratotium on your list of things to do while in San Francisco.

Excellent hands-on science museum. One of the best things to visit in the whole Bay Area, if not the world. We particularly loved the sand, magnetism, and electrical exhibits, plus the movies and movement tracking screen. The tactile dome was a splurge but lots of fun. A once in a lifetime thing. Can't wait to go back for more. In four hours we barely scratched the surface.

One of the best science museums for kids in the country. So many hands-on exhibits and experiences to try. You can easily spend an entire day there.

Only downside is lack of food options - the cafe is very small, very limited, and expensive, and there's not really anything kid-friendly within a kid-friendly walking distance.

IT'S AMAZING. I went here for a boy scout trip and I couldn't believe how fun it was it was so fun I didn't even realize I was learning something oh and me and my boy scout pack slept on the Eureka Ferry boat.

Magic place! At several o'clock I became the child again - everything wanted to be twisted and to touch. It is so much emotions, the improbable number of the experiments taking the device. I recommend to all: to both children, and adults. Two floors which are well thought over, fascinating opening! There is a restaurant, where it is possible to eat and have a rest. On weekdays the restaurant works up to 3p.m, on week-end up to 4p.m. Come to the Exploratorium to all family - you will not regret!

About Exploratorium

Exploratorium: A World of Curiosity and Discovery

Are you looking for a place where you can let your curiosity roam free? Look no further than Exploratorium, the ultimate destination for science enthusiasts and curious minds alike. With hundreds of exhibits spread across six spacious indoor and outdoor galleries, Exploratorium is a world of discovery waiting to be explored.

Located at Pier 15 in San Francisco, Exploratorium is set to reopen on July 1st after being closed due to the pandemic. The museum has taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its visitors while still providing an immersive experience that will leave you in awe.

What sets Exploratorium apart from other museums is its interactive approach to learning. Instead of just reading about science concepts, visitors get hands-on experience with exhibits that allow them to see these concepts in action. From exploring the properties of light and sound waves to understanding how our brains process information, there's something for everyone at this museum.

One exhibit that's sure to capture your attention is Tactile Dome - an interactive exhibit where visitors navigate through total darkness using only their sense of touch. It's an exhilarating experience that will challenge your senses and leave you with a newfound appreciation for how we perceive our surroundings.

Another must-see exhibit is the Outdoor Gallery which features large-scale installations that explore various scientific phenomena such as wind patterns or water flow. It's a great way to connect with nature while also learning about scientific principles in action.

Exploratorium also offers various workshops and events throughout the year which provide opportunities for deeper exploration into specific topics such as robotics or chemistry. These programs are designed for all ages so whether you're a child or an adult, there's always something new to learn at this museum.

In addition to its exhibits and programs, Exploratorium also has a commitment towards sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly practices into its operations such as using renewable energy sources or reducing waste through composting efforts.

Overall, Exploratorium is more than just a museum - it's an immersive experience that will ignite your curiosity and inspire lifelong learning. So mark your calendars for July 1st when this world-class institution reopens its doors once again!
