07/13/17 My wife and I was here for a appointment ...

07/13/17 My wife and I was here for a appointment at Nuculear Medicine, and the tech was very unprofessional and rude. The tech told us when we first came in to office to fill out the form and if we filled any portion out incorrectly it doesn't matter because it was our test. He told us if we want our tests to come through properly, we should of followed the instructions for pre screening and we could lie and put anything on the form, that he is just here to get us back and have the test. This is not the big deal I'm complaining about, what my complaint is, is when the next patient walked in, he told them the same thing about the pre screening and the test procedures. The patient filled out her form and turned it in to the tech, and he said you checked a portion that said she could be pregnant. The girl then said she wasn't sure if she was and she just checked it, well the tech tells her she needs to go see her primary doctor and she can't be seen. So my wife asks why she can't go get a pregnancy test from the store and come back. Well, the tech angrily tells her to, "stop right there!" and she isnt a doctor and she needs to shut up. The tech continues to argue and get out of line with his attitude toward the other patient and my wife. Then tells the patient she can be seen and she has to go, so she walks out. Her boyfriend tells the tech if he dont like his job he needs to find another one, and walks out. Then the tech come out from behind the work station desk and follows the couple and confronts them again. Me and my wife get up and follow and he is still talking to the couple inappropriately. He comes back and then tries to go off on us about the couple and my wife for making a comment on his actions. He immediately goes into a rage and starts yelling he is the tech and showing us his badge. We then said you just told us we could of filled out the whole form and lied on every question and he would of taken us back for the test, that it doesn't matter what we lie about. I understand he has a job and can't take patients back if they have certain conditions that they can't be exposed to radiation, but he had no right to follow them out and keep the verbal assault going. Bottom line it was a terrible experience and the only relief we got was a HR rep came and talked to us and the couple and they sent the tech home and they don't tolerate employees to behave the way he did.

Took my husband to the E.R. 10-14-16 and we had to wait over 5 hours to be seen for his broken arm. The waiting room is discussing! Filthy and the floors look like they have not been cleaned in months. They need to redo the waiting room and have better cleaning service. Baptist clean your E.R. - it is nasty!!!! While you are at it- clean the nasty bathrooms as well. Employees were very nice and treated us very well.

Terrible Emergency room setup, staff slouches around nonchalantly. Facility setup has no privacy, very unorganized. If you get sick go elsewhere. Took two hours just to get blood work and that was a true stretch.!Worst hospital in the state.

Consistently poor experiences with 4th floor nurses Fremont, Eric, and an old patient care tech named Johnny who spent his shift reading out in the hall. One day as I walked up the hall for exercise I overheard a conversation among the staff sitting at the station. One of the young ladies was joking loudly about telling her boyfriend that her behind is a one way street. Staff sex life is not what I wanted to hear about. I was glad to leave and am determined to take better care my health so I won't have to be back any time soon.

First, I want to be fair here. Personally the few times I've been here I've had good experiences as an "in-patient" customer. The staff, the room, the food, and the care were all excellent. But the out-patient treatment (Surgicare) of individuals is terrible and desperately in need of attention.
Allow me to explain and realize I'm writing this as i wait for my wifes procedure to be completed; I'm watching other patients attempt at check-in and they are having some issues too.
The check-in area is on the ground floor between tower 1 and 2 and located in the main hallway of an extremely busy foot traffic area. We arrived at the check-in desk and nobody was there. We waited around for a few minutes wondering if we were in the right area...nobody to ask After about 7-10 minutes a lady arrived and called my wife up to the desk...i grabbed a seat. After a few minutes other people were arriving. Before they finished with my wife they called another older gentleman up and because they do not have a chair at the check-in desk made this poor man stand and wait. Now I'm no doctor but one would think the staff would understand that these poor souls probably have some aches and pains and cannot comfortably stand for more than a few minutes. I watched this poor man shift and shuffle in agony as they slowly finished with my wife. I told a nearby volunteer "Jim" about this gentleman's situation and to his credit he grabbed a chair and took it to the desk for him to sit down but was told he can't bring a chair to the desk because it was a safety hazard due to all the foot traffic traversing the area. (I watched and listened in disbelief at this ridiculous statement as not more than 20 feet away there are other chairs for the waiting area...and they're located smack dab in the middle of the hallway.) Meanwhile this poor man waited in obvious discomfort until he appeared to get fed up and started walking back to the actual waiting area. Before he could sit back down the lady at check-in instructed him to return back to the desk and wait while she finished checking in my wife. Now I'm getting mad and had words with both Jim and the lady about the treatment of outpatient customers. My wife gave me the look of "be quiet"! She was unaware of what I was witnessing so instead of showing my a#$ I decided to write this review in hopes of : informing potential outpatient customers what they might experience, hope that by some miracle that one of the administrators will see this review and be embarrassed by the treatment of indivduals and make some changes to better attend to patients needs.

Came in at around 4pm due to shortness of breath. Meanwhile 2 1/2 hours later still they've done little. About to get up and walk out of here and not paying one dime of a bill!

Update: they finally did what needed to be done and sent me on my way. Slow in getting there but at least they're still better than Santa Rosa Medical Center.

Hillary in the Billing office is lazy, lying and ...

Hillary in the Billing office is lazy, lying and worthless. I called about my bill and after being put on hold multiple times so " She could speak to her supervisor" she told me "everything was taken care of." Lie because Then I got the bill again and I called back to speak to her and "she said she was going to call me back". Another Lie! Finally I just paid the bill that was a co-payment that I had paid at the doctors appointment, so it would go against my credit. That was on March 8th, Today is March 23rd and I just got the bill again. I called Baptist again and didn't even bother to waste my time asking for that Lying worthless employee because I'm going down there in person to file a complaint against her. Today I talked to a guy named Germaine (I think) and he was very polite though they said I still owed the bill which I'm not about to pay again, I have the paper in hand showing paid and paid it with my debt card Thank God.. Baptist Hospital is a joke, If you are dying you would probably be better off just calling your friends and family and saying Bye to them. But Seriously the people in billing get paid to do this and they are sad (except for Germaine) sorry if I got that wrong The picture attached is why it makes me so mad to deal with people like Hillary who could care less about her job much less me and my credit. . and I'm forced to pay it so It doesn't damage my credit.

Here s another update. It s September 24 2019 and these people sent me another letter from a collection agency for this same bill that I paid Twice already and in case anyone has a doubt I attached the photos below. Paid twice at Baptist and then directly to labcore Keep your receipt and go to sacred heart

I can't say enough about the care my brother got while at this facility. Dr. Maher was very honest and straightforward about the condition of my brother JC and kept my other brothers and I in the loop as far as the treatment he was receiving and his overall prognosis. Every nurse was very polite and professional and you could tell they really cared about their patients. I wish I could remember all their names, but it was a very trying time for me and my brothers.
Thank you all for the tremendous care you provided.
Very Respectfully,
The Cristalli Family

The lack of caring at this hospital is astounding. From the inability of the ER staff to communicate with family to the dirtiness of the floors. When I keep my dog's crate cleaner than this hospital keeps its floors it is so sad. It's called Swiffer, they have them at Walmart. It shouldn't be this hard people.

My father in law was sent by ambulance here from the VA because he was having a heart attack. Four hours later here we sit with not a single test or anything else done waiting for the echo cardiogram they said he needs to get. This is ridiculous. You could die here waiting. Literally. And I'm not sure they'd even notice.

Waited for two hours with no estimate as to how long the wait would be. The facility had bandaids, face masks and seemed generally unclean in the waiting area. When I asked the desk security, he seemed unapproachble and offended that i was even asking. The two staff personnel that helped were very welcoming and wearing scrubs. So was the elderly security guard. To the security desk clerk with combed back hair and a terrible attitude, you ruined our entire experience. We left after waiting for two hours and never intend on returning ever again. I would not recommend this facility to anyone with a choice.

Excellent Patient Care - I had my gallbladder removed at Baptist Hospital. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful and very nice. The lady who checked us in, all the nurses, the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and even the young man who wheeled me out to my car when I was done. Highly recommend this hospital!!

The nurses and doctors push euthanasia. The doctors have put DNR (do not resuscitate) orders in my father's and my brother's chart without informing them or our family.
Beware - If your loved one has dementia, they may decide not to treat a simple infection.
If someone comes in unconscious, an organ donation team quickly arrives.
Also beware of the so-called "angels of mercy" that enjoy terminating one's life.

Overall experience was horrendous! The wait time is horrible (spent 7hrs here), you might as well plan your funeral waiting for them! The lack of listening to what the actual problem is even worse. I came their with a problem and they handled it very poorly. This hospital needs better staff! Zero Stars NOT RECOMMENDED!

This is a terrible hospital. The nurses at night want you to spend the night so they can ignore the patient. When you are there to visit they expect you to care for the patient . Don't buzz the nurse and say a patient that is a fall risk has to use restroom cause they won't should . Don't buzz and say patient is wet cause they didn't show in the first place cause they will sit for hours in soiled sheets. Never will I return nor will my family!!!!

This place is horrible. I have been here for 9 hours waiting to see a doctor to tell me what s wrong. They have had my info for over 2 hours and I have only been checked on once within that two hours! I have monitors going off and nobody has even cared nor paid attention, I have not eaten since noon and it is now 2 am... I told them I need to get home to my dogs, still nothing. I have asked for water, takes them 2 hours to get it to me. The staff is very nice, but they are just so slow and disorganized. Probably the worse hospital I have ever been to.

WARNING: The Neurosurgery Department is a total nightmare: After 45 years of limping due to a Vietnam War wound, my spine was suffering. I was diagnosed and approved for surgery of my neck vertebrae and the lower Lombard. The neck procedure was performed by a wonderful surgeon who said the lower back would be done after recuperation from the neck surgery. One day before the surgery follow-up I was informed (I had to call them) that the surgeon no longer works here Goodbye. . I had to have my insurance company reauthorize everything, and the Surgery Dept. was unhelpful every step of the way. After 2 months they finally stated that the doctor I was assigned to would review my case . 2 weeks later I am told he would not do the surgery. Unbelievable

My daughter was seen in the emergency room. The doctor told her that her symptoms were consistent with a slipped disc or ruptured disc. Then the doctor found out she didn't have insurance in Florida and then the doctor totally changed and told her there wasn't anything wrong with her and sent her on her way. We got a copy of the radiology report from the Xray they did and the report said there is narrowing and degeneration in the area where her pain is. We went to another place and she has an issue with 2 places in her spine that is putting pressure on the spinal cord nerve. This hospital obviously cares more about money than taking care of serious medical issues.

From the time I came into the er to being admitted and moved to a room I was taken care of. The techs and Drs were quick to diagnose my issue and SAVE MY LIFE! For this I'm very grateful. 4th floor nurses, tech's and even house keeping met my every need. The ladies that brought my food were even nice.
Every Dr and specialist I came in contact with were very kind and helpful with my situation. For this I'm extremely grateful. I want to say THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO AND WHAT YOU DID FOR ME. Amy Weeks room 456

Most expensive ER around with deceptive and error ridden billing pratices.

1700 for 3 eye drops guys. Was told if I pay all that would be it.

Get itemization and fight. Write complaints, reviews, record your phone calls, look at the billing code, etc.

Evil. Straight evil. I can't even see how this is legal. I will fight not because of the cash, but the principle. Unbundling frauds.

They waved 500$ in the end for violation of my patient rights.

My husband underwent serious procedures at Baptist Hospital on Oct. 31st, Jan. 3rd and Feb. 19th. Two procedures allowed us to leave at the end of the day, while one required an overnight stay. Dr. Al Sheikh and Dr. Hillary White were absolutely wonderful! The staff working with these doctors explained every step, made us comfortable, answered our questions, and made sure all paperwork was handled correctly. I was impressed with the overall friendliness as I walked down the halls or asked for directions. We traveled 90 miles to use Baptist Hospital and will gladly do it again if medical care is needed!

Worse experience ever!!!! Just moved here last week, just recently found out I had a uterine tumor....went in for severe stomach pain, nauseous etc it took me 4 hours to get to a room, got into a room and they told me to put a gown on. No blankets, no pillows just a sheet cover the bed. Took them just a hour to bring me a blanket & put me on monitors. There total 7 hours and had no treatment, nothing for pain, no vital checks, the EKG got unplugged & alarms went off and they never came in. AWFUL they don t even deserve a 1. RUDE!!! Hateful, nasty, Dirty ER stay clear!!!! And sad the military hospital sent me there...

Went to ER after suffering all day with horrible back pain. I was taken to a room immediately after which staff came in to get me comfortable. Imaging and tests were done IMMEDIATELY! The doctor Dr. Riley explained everything in normal language and made sure we understood the instructions and follow up information. The visit was not 5-7 hours like some other facilities and the entire staff was courteous and helpful all the way from the doctors to the security guards. Best ER experience ever. Keep up the good work Baptist!

Worst experience in an ED in years, wife had a concussion and they let her sit in the waiting room for 4 hours. Everyone else went to a room while we waited. Got into West Florida hospital with no issues, and was treated like a human. Being a former employee of Baptist it doesn't surprise me their ratings are so low. A new hospital isn't going to fix your broken system.

My review is for the ER dept. Totally different than being an inpatient. Baptist has been my choice for many many years as well as for my family , Mom and Dad who are now deceased. I am 67 years old. I have steadily watch the ER dept at Baptist deteriorate ever since the CEO drowning scandal. I was once discharged from the ER and left in a wheelchair outside in the middle of the driveway to the staging ramp. Cars were going around me. I was too weak to get up and move the wheelchair. My last visit was Feb 22, 2017. I sat with my husband at my side for 5 hours and during the WHOLE time I listened to several people who sounded as if they were having a party. Laughing loudly while cursing about being there waiting 9 hours. Prisoners were being brought in at different times for treatment as this person also noted and where taken right back before she was. (State policy that obviously she and the others had no clue of) . Several ambulance also came in which patience were complaining of loudly. I heard some suggesting the they were being discriminated against because they were not being taken back. One of the sick (?) patience took her phone and took a video of all of us sitting and waiting the whole while she was cursing into her camera and sounding extremely angry. The cops finally came over to her telling her she could no be taking pictures. She disputed the fact that she was not taking "Pictures" but videoing us. The young cop (?) obviously did not have enough experience to handle this and he let her go. ANY of us that were truly sick and feeling bad were not able to sit and laugh and be as ugly as this person was. I assume the reason she had not been taken back was because what she had wrong with her was not that bad. The place smelled of urine and was packed. It felt extremely uncomfortable having to stay in that area due to the angry atmosphere and nastiness of the area. I was told that renovations were going on on the 4th floor, heart floor, and most of the rooms were not available so they were holding patience in the ER because they had no where to put them. The ceiling has leaked on the top floor for years and have been ignored. Priorities were elsewhere for the CEO to put hospital money. I was in there for a possible heart issue. .The CEO's can spend money on new buildings off campus while the ER continue to deteriorate. If I was the Mayo Clinic I would not be allowing Baptist to share my name as the ER and other areas are an embarrassment. The waiting area is just plain nasty. There was a security guard who checked you in and four uniformed cops (?) standing around by the door. None of them were paying attention to the noise level in the waiting area and the angry outburst until someone mentioned someone was recording. They did not come back to quiet the crown. There was so much noise that everyone's words were running all together and sounded like you were in the middle of the stock exchange during mass trading. I sat with my head buried, trying my best to meditate the noise away.I saw MANY quiet patience get up and leave. Feeling as if I was being tortured with the constant barrage of negative energy and filthy language and constant loud complaining, I could no longer take it, so My husband and I left. I vowed to never return. I will go to the Gulf Breeze ER or Sacred Heart before I will ever come back to another nightmare such as this one. This is pathetic. More doctors are needed in the ER as well as MUCH more sitting area for the patience. A cleaner environment and calming space would be warranted. Avoid the ER at Baptise at all cost.

My mother was airlifted from AL to Baptist after a stroke. I was So impressed with the staff that met with me to make sure I knew what was going on & what to expect. The neurosurgeon, neurologist, and palliative care team were all top notch. Mom's nursing staff in the SINU was incredible - *always* washed their hands when entering her room & popped in to say Hi, check on Mom, & give updates when we were there. (Susan is the best!!) Mom was only at Baptist one week & then transferred to another facility, but we were so spoiled by the professional & kind staff, that took such great care of our Mom, that I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU!! I have no doubt that the initial care she received is part of the reason she's making such good progress.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I have worked in the health care industry for years and have been a patient also here and there, but this hospital had the WORST SERVICE, WORST DOCTORS, WORST NURSES, WORST PATIENT CARE TECHNICIANS. I came in because I had been bleeding 5 maxi pads every hour over night. After getting admitted and getting my vital signs checked, everyone left me alone. They forgot to close my door all the way and I could hear them talking about me at the nurse's desk. They had said, "Room # is complaining too much." I rang the bell for water. I heard them thru the door from their desk say, "What does she want now!?" I never got my water. I was only a patient for a half an hour. I was not asking much for water after bleeding endlessly overnight. Finally, a couple hours later, a nurse comes in with water. She told me my bleeding was normal. The doctor finally came in to do a medical check up and told me, "I do not know what is wrong." So they sent me home in a taxi that I had to pay for. Back home, hours later, my husband found me passed out on the floor with blood all over my legs. Apparently, I was passed out for hours. We found out, after going to the right doctor and the right hospital, that I had cancer. Days later, someone from the Baptist Hospital wanted to survey me for customer satisfaction. Guess what I gave them. Yep! You guessed it!

Brought MotherInLaw via ambulance. Told Hospital was full. Placed in a small room for observation full of equipment like a holding area. Finally transferred to a room. Elderly woman with a walker not a very handicapped equipped room. Strange smell in the room
The staff sounded like a party outside my room
Loud noise. A staff came in my room to retrieve equipment out of the closet in my room
My medication schedule was completely ignored. I was told a couple of my medications could not be taken. Lack of attention to fluid I take and output. I was not weighed the entire time in the Hospital for Congestive Heart Failure. As the patient is was an extremely stressful experience and was very ready to be discharged as soon as possible

My father was transferred here to this hospital in...

My father was transferred here to this hospital in critical condition, following surgery for a pacemaker to be put in (at a different hospital). He had previously been there a month back when he had a heart cath procedure. Staff was great in that area, but when I arrived at this hospital late in the night, I parked at the main entrance not realizing I needed to go to the er entrance. Anyhow, I parked and then seconds after me parking in a half empty lot, a colored man pulls behind my car and just sits. I knew something seemed strange and I had a very weary feeling as this guy seemed thuggish. Sat for a couple minutes, then I crank to pull around to ER entrance. Well, he cranks up and follows me. I was scared for my life honesty. I think this hospital needs a lot more security. Sonething horrible could've happened to me, had my instinct not been spot on and I not been aware of my surroundings. So, I get parked and go into ER entrance. Staff very nice and friendly but seem to just mingle quite a bit. The waiting area is pretty gross and very outdated. It definitely needs renovations and cleaning. As far as me feeling safe on the inside, staff made sure of it and got me to where I needed to be. Scary place to enter at night, so always be aware of your surroundings and go through er entrance at night early morning during dark hours. Overall, my father's care has been great but definitely some things need changing at this hospital.

I'm truly sadden by the appearance of this hospital. It smelled bad and the wait was forever. I literally went to the hospital for nothing. I could have treated myself if I would have known of the lack of service. The worst hospital besides the VA. I'm ashamed on how they treat the community of less desirable neighborhoods. Please fix the waiting room in the hospital... let people feel like they are human. The doctor came in when I finally got to the back and did not establish rapport. He seemed irritated and undermining. When I was discharged nothing was explained. The lady discharging me said "alright you're good to go". smh I'm so sick of faulty service. Where is the warmth and genuineness in this field. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone.

The ER is ok. If you are being admitted I would suggest that you go to a different hospital like scared heart. The staff are awful and rude. We call on the mic to get his nite and the techs don t call his nurse at all. The techs don t seem to want to help at all. They talk to you rude and so no respect. Had to call his nurse phone to get him some medicine. When his nurse came he said he didn t get any calls from the techs to come see the patient. Save yourself the trouble and go to scared heart. We came here cause it was close but we won t make that mistake again. Awful experience here at baptist hospital. Honestly it doesn t even deserve 1 star.

Staff is friendly, but horrible system to go through! I can in for mental health evaluation and waited 4 hours or more to speak with a therapist and was told that i had to stay over night to speak with a nurse (btw I spoke with her and it only took 5 minutes). I left the next day wanting to just go home to SF and I needed information that they wouldn t release to me because I supposedly needed to go to records even tho I signed multiple papers stating that the therapist could tell my commander everything! As the nurse said to me, You re never going to see that man (the therapist who screened me) ever again.

Was told it would take 2 to 3 days for test results from the ER I was never told how to get them. I called the hospital over 5 separate times after 4 days had passed, each time getting patched through to an answering machine. The last time I called they just hung up on me as soon as I told them who i was. Absolutely terrible. I can't even get a straight answer about whether or not they even have my results. I just wanted an answer if they were ready yet, but apparently that's too much to ask. Will NOT be coming to this place again!

I was induced in May for the delivery of my FIRST ...

I was induced in May for the delivery of my FIRST child, although nervous I was excited and ready to meet my daughter. Dr. Boyd is an excellent doctor and is the only reason I would ever return to this hospital in the future. My problem lies with delivery nurses, and the nurses on duty who took care of me after I delivered my child. Rude, neglectful, inconsiderate, inhumane, uneducated, misinformed. During labor, I had a nurse enter the room mid delivery and yelled in my face, GRABBED my face and forced me to look at her while I pushed my daughter out. My first instinct was to scream, but considering I was already doing that and in severe pain I had to give in to this woman s demands. Even my doctor made a comment about her charging in like a football couch. After this incident, every single nurse we spoke to would tell us different information, nobody was on the same page about anything. Which caused me severe stress and panic from the lack of clear communication and information. My birthing experience was ruined by the rudeness and neglectful actions of the nurses who were supposed to take care of me and reassure me during my time of need. Instead I got the opposite and was made to feel very uncomfortable and scared. Do not deliver here, Dr. Boyd was the only positive factor of any of this. And he was only present for probably 30 minutes of my labor. And I was in labor for 16 hours from the start of my induction. I could go on and on about everything that went wrong, but then I d end up writing a book. It was that bad. Worst experience of my life thanks to your nurses on staff.

Ok so I have been having trouble with my Bi Polar ...

Ok so I have been having trouble with my Bi Polar meds. So I called my doctors office and told them that I needed to have my meds tweaked. So I went to the ER and signed myself in @5:36 pm. I went through triage and was taken to mental health. The doctor saw me for all of 30 seconds and said don't change out of your clothes. Your going to ASU. 7 and a half hours later they sent me across the hospital parking lot and I entered ASU . I told them why I was there and they said you just need to go see your doctor about your meds . You don't need to come here for that . At 3:08 am they drove me to my car that was parked in the parking lot. And said have a nice day. 90 % of the people I seen in each wing of the facility were either intoxicated or on drugs and had been Baker Acted . I called my shrink when I woke up and told her about my ordeal and low and behold I have an appointment with her tomorrow. I've been trying to get in to see her for over 2 months . I will not be visiting this hospital again. The only reason I went b was because my doctor told me to.

I went to Baptist 3/17/16, I went in with the complaint of being sick, and my knee in excruciating pain. I waited 3 1/2 hours in the lobby, they lost my name in the system and I was told by the security guard maybe your complaint isn't that serious to them etc. When I finally went back every thing they did was beyond painful and unnecessary. The visit ended in absolutely nothing. They didn't tell me what was wrong at all they just gave me two prescriptions and were like OK bye. The x ray tech was awesome he did his job but that's not enough for me to give them a better review. I felt very violated from all of the unnecessary test. Also they did nothing about my knee. This is by far the worst hospital ever. I am writing this as a warning to others really. DONT GO.

About 2 years ago I was shot in the leg with a shot gun i had over 60 birdshot bbs in my leg. I was there for over 4 hours before I received any pain medication. That is absolutely unacceptable. I had to finally be rude to the nurse before aby thing was brought to me. DO NOT GO HERE

I want to thank first the AMAZING ER staff. They made me laugh and took my mind off of what i went through as i came in as a stroke alert. 2nd the ICU staff and the best two doctors i have EVER met. Dr. Risola and Dr. Baker. They actually spent time when they came to see me and made sure i understood everything that was going on and made me feel more then just another patient. Then ALL the nurses, techs, and even case management on 4 east. I couldnt have had a better experience i didnt even feel like i was in a hospital they made me feel like i was at home. Some people i would like to reconize is (nurses and techs on 4 east) Dawn, Sheri, John, Mark, just to name a few. It sucks being in the hospital but if your sick and need to be hospitlized come to Baptist Health Care. You wont regret it. Thankyou guys so much for all your love care and hospitality. Imma miss you all....

If I could give 0 I would. My Mother-In-Law had called her Dr to get her yearly mammo order and they told her it hadn't been a year yet and she had to wait. She told them she wanted to make the appointment to get it on her calendar while she was thinking about it. They still told her no. A few months later ( roughly 13 months after previous mammogram) she felt a lump and called again. They had no urgency to get her in quickly and when they did they told her she had breast cancer (14 months from previous mammogram). She went to M.D. Anderson because the Dr's in Pensacola acted like they didn't know what to do and they were never in a hurry for anything. The Dr. in Houston was looking over her records and found that her previous mammogram, 14 months earlier, had shown a mass in her breast. The radiologist notified her Dr but the her Dr NEVER notified her. M.D. Anderson extended her life 18 months but the last several months of her life she suffered. If her Dr and done her job 14 months prior to the last mammogram, she would still be with us. I hope her Dr is reading this because I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. This Dr needs her license revoked. My Mother-In-Law had also told me that when she went in for her annual woman vist, a breast exam was never done by the Dr.

Watched the nurse throw needle trash all over my grandma, left her arm covered in blood, and left a bloody needle laying on the ground. Any time the staff says they're going to do anything it takes them 30 minutes to an hour to follow through. Im amazing at how unprofessional this hospital is.

I showed up to Baptist Hospital with severe chest pains. Was not taken seriously at all. Was treated like I was in prison. Asked to lie down and was told to "put two chairs together in the waiting area". Ended up leaving and going to another local hospital and told them my symptoms, which they took seriously and after 2 tests found out I needed emergency surgery. Im home recovering now. Baptitst employees should take their patients seriously. Its a hospital, not a prison or jail. The other hospital took me back as soon as I told them my symptoms. I wouldnt recommend Baptist hospital to anyone... Ever. Worst experience in a critical time for me.

You would think by July 2020 hospitals would have ...

You would think by July 2020 hospitals would have some sort of plan in place for testing for Covid-19. Got here with mt wife at 3:30pm, it is now 11:41pm and she still not had the test performed. If I were you I would look elsewhere for services. I'm not impressed with this outfit at all.

Update:
After 10 hours at the hospital and the doctor only coming in to say hi, the only thing achieved by going there was an I V with fluids, a promise of medications for her that never happened and a bunch of employees focused on their phones who like to pass the responsibilities of care and information sharing to the next person with not actually accomplishing anything in the end. We came to this hospital because we heard it was rated high for personal care to patients. My wife exhibited covid-19 symptoms which was the reason we were there in the first place. All in all she is home and Baptist is now rated the worst hospital on the Northwest Florida coast. If you read this, DO NOT GO HERE THINKING YOU WILL GET GOOD CARE AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM. i know why people die unexpectedly at the hospital now. It's a sad day.

My dad was admitted to Baptist in GB last Thursday...

My dad was admitted to Baptist in GB last Thursday for severe back pain. Over the course of the weekend they've done two MRI's and determined he has a mass on his kidney that they believe is cancer. They have gone back and forth on course of action and talked about a biopsy since Friday. They transferred him to big Baptist in pensacola yesterday because one of the two procedures they wanted to perform can only be done big Baptist. Do you know that when he arrived they had essentially go through the entire admission process again? Between the two hospitals they had no transparency of records. The procedure that required the transfer has now been cancelled and the biopsy, which will determine course of action still hasn't occurred. There has been six doctors with differing opinions other than, " we won't know until we have the results of the biopsy." So order the darn thing already! It's now been 6 days. What is the problem?
My dad served this country for 23 years. Participated in Vietbam and tge gukf war. He is a decorated soldier with a purple heart and medal of honor. More importantly he is my dad, and he deserves good treatment. He has more than paid for that right.

Save yourself the trouble and go to West Florida or Sacred Heart. I was sent back quickly due to heart issues, the doctor did nothing but the rest of the staff (techs) was generally helpful. This is like a New York City ER, if you aren't literally dying they do the bare minimum to get you out ASAP. Don't go here expecting to learn anything about your condition before leaving.

If you get an EKG tell the tech "DON'T PULL THE LEADS OFF ALL AT ONCE", apparently it's the way they are trained since I'm not the only one that mentions this.

This is an ER review, I have little experience with the hospital.
