The Excel Progran was more fun than I expected. The program helped improve my score by 200. My favorite teacher was Jared who s in the English Department. He interacted with many of the students and actually taught us a lot. Overall the excel is very helpful plus you get candy, pizza, and prizes.

Loved their SAT preparation program - not only was it extremely focused and result-oriented, but it was also extremely entertaining. In fact, several teachers were funny enough to be called comedians. Definitely never a dull moment in their program. Helped me get to a 1590

I had no idea what to expect of the test when I first started. Excel helped me feel more comfortable and confident in taking the test.

During the Test Correction classes, Saumya was very helpful and motivating. Even when our class was demotivated, she gave us a speech and encouraged us to keep working hard. Even though I took the 4 hour class which may seem exhausting, Saumya made the class fun and helped us get through the class while also teaching us lot.

Taking the excel SAT summer intensive was really helpful towards my goals and strategies for taking the SAT. I gained more confidence in my ability to earn a higher score every practice exam and I recommend the course to anyone considering taking the SAT.

I learned a lot from Andrew. He was not a boring teacher who would make you look at your books for 4 hours. He cracked jokes, made the class interesting, and was truly an amazing person himself.

I believe this program was amazing and helped me with tremendous tips on reading and writing. The teachers are willing to help you and explaining throughly.

I took this class when I was in high school and my score went up approximately 300-400 points. It was really helpful and I recommend starting SAT perpetration ASAP. As soon as you finish geometry in high school (which is usually 9th or 10th grade) you're ready to take Excel's prep course over the summer then take the SAT in fall. The core classroom course is a great option and all the materials are included in the course price, along with 6 months of additional practice after the course ends. I would highly recommend this course.

Saumya and Raman are the best teachers that I have had, they taught a lot and help my improve my score a lot!!!!

After taking the class, I am much more confident in the SAT. The tips and strategies helped a ton, and without them I d probably fail the test terribly.

For every hour spent in the Excel class make sure to spend an equal amount outside of class studying and reviewing the material gone over in class to strengthen your understanding. Good luck!

Jared, Andrew, and Dokhujay definitely made arch class that they taught fun and exciting, but be wary of Divya and don't get on her bad side. This class definitely outlined an amazing set of tips and tricks to tackle the SAT. Oh yeah, did I mention that they give candy and/or pizza EVERY class...

I'm just going to say that I had a great time learning here. I was able to up my score by at least 100 points and to be totally honest, it was obviously because of the teachers. The reason I put five stars was because they lived up to what they said. The teaching is great, meaning the teachers are great.

The Excel program is very effective and a really fun environment to be in. I took it in the San Mateo location and really enjoyed my time. The teachers are awesome and helpful and they give candy each class! 10/10 would recommend!

I was quite nervous coming in the first day, by the teachers eased the tension and made sure we understood the lessons in an interesting way. I would not be prepared whatsoever for the SAT exam without Excel. The classes even helped prepare me for the next school year.

Excel test prep is a great way to gain structured, effective preparation for the SAT. The instructors are qualified but relaxed and classes were generally engaging. They covered lots of interesting content and tips, much of which I may not necessarily have devised on my own for increasing accuracy and efficiency on the SAT. I was fortunate to score very highly on the SAT and excel test prep was essential in improving my critical reading performance in particular; the opportunity to take practice exams as part of exam club was also very helpful.

The strategies here at excel helped immensely, the teachers are great and the class is fun. Would recommend to other students.

I think Excel Test Prep has mastered the art of teaching test prep courses. I learned more from them than from my one on one tutor! My score improved from 1700-2200! In less than a month of classes.

This class is very helpful, Jared gives you pizza, he is also very funny, if you join and have Jared as your teacher for grammar/reading, you will throw paper balls at a bin.

It was definitely not worth it and they forced us to rate them on our last class

I am extremely disappointed with Excel Test Prep. My son did SAT preparation test and attempted SAT & ACT papers. Google doesn't allow zero star so I have to select 1 star. I have spent lot of money but here is summary :
- Their computerized system of corrections doesn't work so the final correction will say lot of omits. This way your score in the internal tests is always lower. You won't have clear picture on weak areas and where student need to work
- If you call these folks, they will say that probably student left it by mistake and will hush it up.

I heard this explanation couple of times and had argument with my son. Finally, he took pictures of final answer sheet. To my surprise, they had more then 25 omits in complete test paper.When I called the customer service and complained, Their first response was that the student has omitted it. I told them I have picture of answer sheet and corrections doesn't look right. The customer rep got more defensive and told me that my son is not supposed to take picture and this can result in banning him from the center.

This happened consistently with my son for three times. He was doing test fine using books but will always get lower score in excel test prep because of omissions. The customer service is very unresponsive.

I am looking for another center if anybody has good experience, please let me know.

Excel test prep really helped me improve my SAT score and gave me tips on each of the sections in the exam. They also have a wide variety of practice tests for tests such as the SAT and AP exams and they also supply us with Collegeboard material which is very helpful. They also provide us with snacks, candies, and pizza which is awesome. BANANAS!!!!

Excel test prep was good for some stuff like English. But overall I don't think I learned much otherwise. They fed us a lot of candy and pizza and I do think my score improved but maybe it's because they made the tests easier each time. Also I feel like the essay writing was okay. They made way too much money off of throwing candy at people. If you were motivated enough Khan academy would be a good enough resource. Also the candy choice was good for the first day but then they gave us some disgusting stuff.

Andrew was a super cool teacher who included a lot of jokes in he's teaching. We definitely learnt a lot from his teaching and also had fun while learning.

Excel test prep gave me the tools I needed to better understand the SAT and score higher on the exam. The tricks and tips that I learned at Excel test prep were crucial in doing well on the exam.

Excel was really awesome! My reading and writing score improved a lot through lots of practice. So hopefully Exam Club is good as well.

The reading/writing teachers were helpful, but the math lessons were rushed and the teachers did not properly explain vital concepts, opting to just have us read the handbook.

Jared is a really fun and helpful as a teacher. One advice for students is to always ask questions whether it's during or after class. It's more beneficial to get help for questions you don't understand.
