It’s clear Salomon kept the performance of their popular QST line but made it lighter for ski mountaineering, staying true to Cody Townsend’s idea that you don’t have to sacrifice fun for easier touring. The ski handles variable snow conditions really well and feels stable when you need it to be in the mountains. It isn’t quite as damp or stable as the regular QST 106 for in-bounds riding, but that’s expected for a touring ski. If you are a rider who likes to push the pace and want a capable backcountry setup, I highly recommend it from EVO.
