Immoral company hiring people who will profit form the suffering of others.

Immoral company. Look at the record. Try too often to isolate themselves from malpractice lawsuits for all the death, amputations, pain and suffering they cause by claiming they do not have a duty to care.

These are the type of people who enjoy making money off of the suffering of others. Ignore them. And, ask your Congressional representation to change the laws so that ANYONE who gets between you and your doctor are subject to malpractice when they get it wrong.

Apparently these uneducated folks can over turn a medical DOCTORS' suggestion for treatment. They consistently deny prior authorization claims. Why do I even have insurance if everything gets denied? And why does Blue Cross contract this scum company to approve/deny their claims?

Terrible company with bad organization. They are the bad guys so Athena doesn't have to be. Took over 7 weeks to get a MRI approved for my back. It took just a week for them to even send back the denial the first time. I had to try 3 times! I was having leg pain and numbness in parts of my leg with bad back pain. They finally approved it to find I have a herniated disk and might need surgery. I could have already been scheduling surgery or treatment instead of just now seeing a specialist. Then after they they send me a letter saying oh wait that wasn't approved please send in more info after I already had it done. Also keep in mind my deductible is so high they aren't even paying for anything yet!

Probably the worst company I've ever worked for. The management is despicable. I hated everyday of working there. You either have to be black or sleeping with the intake manager in order to get anywhere in that company. Benefits are horrible. Systems always broken pay is a joke the company should be shut down.

I carefully combed through the health care manuals that eviCore uses to authorize medical care for insurance companies. After reading the studies they used to support their finding I realized much of what they suggest is completely made up, with some of the studies cited actually supporting more care not less. Once I took a quick peek at their "corporate headquarters" I realized they are one big sham for padding the insurance companies bottom line over patients who need care.

BBB please shut them down.

I'm just curious why I pay so much for health care to AETNA when their contracted doctors are not ultimately authorized to make decisions for the care of their own patients. Instead, there is a group of poorly trained, very rude individuals at some company somewhere telling the licensed health care system what to do. My daughter, an acrobatic competitive gymnast, has been in pain and has not been able to practice nor compete for the last two weeks because this "health care company" is in no hurry to decide whether an MRI on her lower lumbar is good practice or not. How is this even legal? And how much of the ridiculously high premium that I pay each month goes to these people?

A horrible company used by blue cross blue shield to make questionable/shady decisions for them. They denied care on the grounds that the patient was not under pain for more than 6 weeks. Seriously? Why is someone in south carolina making decisions about a procedure recommended by an actual doctor who diagnosed a patient and recommended a procedure? We ended up paying out of pocket as we know how broken the system is. Felt pointless having "good" insurance if you can't even get the care you need. Not sure how these people live with themselves doing these jobs everyday.

I found this facility to be fantastic in that I needed a test done and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I guess I was lucky in that there was no waiting for what I needed, but from the person who warmly greeted me to the staff in the department I went to - everyone was warm and friendly. That's very much appreciated in a medical facility. Many people enter and are nervous. Sure helps calm nerves to see smiles and talk to staff you can actually share a couple laughs with.
