First time, fun spot. Initially a bit difficult to spot from the street - look for Union Pizza, and enter via that door. The acoustics are decent, and the crowd on the night that I went was very local and very friendly. I'll be back!

Great local music venue with serious quality national acts, good seating, sightlines and acoustics. They have a great beer list, craft cocktails, and reasonable prices. My only complaint is no dance floor.

A smaller intimate arena for artists of music and other talents. Has a pizzaria connected to the front of theatre. Food is very good. You can take it into the staging area. There are small tables reserved, and guaranteed seats, there are also general seats areas. Nice staff. There is a bar in the staging area. Tables are small cabaret style. Parking on street. Metered but free on Sundays. Garage across the street. First visit. Will return.

What an incredible venue to see quality music! The acoustics and atmosphere are great. My wife and I did dinner at the connected pizza joint and loved it as well. We've been here multiple times and will be back hopefully many more (especially whenever Martin Sexton is in town).

Small and intimate concert venue. They always have a good line up of Indie, and less commercial acts. The interior is simple but beautiful. It's one of my favorite places right outside Chicago.

Took my family to see Stacey Kent here earlier this year. Very easy online tickets, easy parking and a very intimate venue. The sound quality/tonality was superb. I can't imagine a better place to see any small jazz ensemble. We had pizza and the area is clean and safe. Heading back this fall to see the English Beat! Great variety of entertainment in such a small venue. Love it.

Update! The English Beat show was brilliant except for the entitled rich asses who got drunk in the middle of the dance floor and acted like fools. Probably time for a two drink limit.

Brilliant venue for acoustic and jazz acts. A bit loud if it's an amplified band. Linked to the Union Pizzeria, so pizzas are a strong point for food. Different drink menu for Space than Union.

One of the best cocktails I've ever had, and my husband was crazy for the whiskey sour he had. We didn't have a chance to try their food (concert was amazing!!) But the pizza smelled fantastic and all the food we saw looked delicious. All of the staff was professional and hard-working.

Update: Gotta downgrade this a bit - why they would sell more tickets than they would put in chairs for a Moth Story Slam is beyond me. Getting there on time, having purchased tickets ahead of time, I and my party stood. Well, that is until one in the group who is about 70 decided to sit on the floor. So yes, small, intimate space, but don't assume you'll sit on a chair. Drinks and available pizza from Union.

Best place for live music in Evanston. If you get there early grab some dinner at Union. Quick note: you can bring Union pizza into the show, so grab your seats and order a pizza. They will notify you when it's ready.

Evanston Space is the perfect music venue for any type of concert! I have seen and photographed multiple shows there and I have been very impressed with the talent that they bring to the Chicago area. If you see a concert there, make sure to go early to their restuarant because they have awesome food -- especially their pizza! :)

SPACE is a relaxing quaint venue that offers great live entertainment. Union Pizza is located in the front area of the venue. It was nice for my husband and I to dine in and eat our pizza prior to exiting the venue. The pizza was delicious!

Love Space!

Love Space!
They have some of my favorite performers (Barrence Whitfield, Raul Malo, Tab Benoit) in a more intimate setting. Probably less than 200 seats. Cheap bottles, and reasonable mixed drinks. Union Pizza is right next door for some interesting small plates and cocktails.

Great place, awesome food, great service, amazing owner of the restaurant, and very accommodating to people with food sensitivities! Trust me, this is a great place in Evanston! Enjoy!

I have been going to SPACE and Union Pizza for at least five years. They have a wood burning pizza oven where u can order the pizza to go and bring it into the concert. Every year they have stepped up their talent offerings and expanded their facilities without losing that intimate, fan to entertainer experience. Usually the entertainment comes out and has casual conversations and sells their merch. This is my number one venue for music! I know some of the talent who performs at SPACE and they can't express how wonderful they have been treated!

Saw Chris Green. You have to enter the pizzaria and go towards the back. Space has a bar in the back with good beer and drinks. You can order food that doesn't require utensils. Quaint place for an intimate set.

We had my brothers wedding reception here! The Old Fashioned open bar was amazing!! And the food was delicious! The reception area was very spacious but intimate! We didn't feel over crowded there. I loved it!

This room has very very good sound but a small bar albeit with adroit service. I have always very much enjoyed playing low, up-close stages like this one where the crowd sits in a horseshoe around the stage with their boots and beers on the stage with the setlists. Every spot a good one both on stage and on the floor.

Attended the Rubblebucket show here on St. Patty's Day and had an amazing time. It's a small "space", but the sound is incredible and inviting. Seeing a band with horns and a lot of energy is the way to go here... the vibe was all out party and it was a visceral, engaging, enthralling show! Rubblebucket is amazing. Thanks, Space, for hosting and providing such a terrific atmosphere.

The bar is right there so you don't miss any of the show. The bathroom situation is very cool - 7 individual bathrooms, all unisex, all private. The line moves super quick and everyone is friendly. Really just a great time. It's a hike from the city but there are plenty of cool places nearby such as Starbucks and Whole Foods.

Thanks again, Space!

Attended for a "The Moth In Chicago" event one evening. The parking options were limited for such a popular event, as is the size of the venue. All tables were full. People were lining the walls. Sound was great, however. The bar was decent in cost & drink selections. Not my first choice of location for The Moth.

Space opened the doors to a sell out crowd to see two local bands that just rocked the place. They should consider hosting local (Evanston) bands more often. I was at a show earlier in the week for an act from Nashville and there were only 24 people in the crowd.
