Intimate space to see a show. The lighting and sound is amazing!

Cool music venue, close to the artist, pretty good priced bar with a good selection. Want to come back to check out Union

I went here for a concert and it was a great experience. I do wish they didn t have someone walking around getting drink orders in view of the stage.

They pack too many people into the room. If you want to dance you can't.

This was my favorite music venue I've been too. It's intimate and just overall fantastic

One of my favorite music venues in Chicagoland, Intimate and comfortable for many types of musical fare.

Concert was very good. Had some good beers. Seating was cramped and uncomfortable.

Amazingly personal and up close 'space' for shows. I saw Wanda Jackson here last year and the show was unforgettable.

Really nice and intimate concert space with eclectic and fun bands. It's a great place to catch a casual show. There's a handy cocktail bar in the area itself so no need to step away from the music. And best of all, there are a ton of bathrooms nearby to eliminate the waits!

Music and sound has great acoustics as well!

Went last night for a sold out show. At a capacity of a couple hundred Space is cozy, but not uncomfortably crowded and the bathroom lines and bartenders move quickly enough to match supply with demand. If you get there early enough to grab a seat in first few rows the performers are going to be practically in your lap. If that's not your thing standing in the back of the Space gives you a comfortable distance, but is still close enough to not miss out on any little details.

Fantastic food! Comfortable seating! And John Moreland was absolutely AMAZING!!

For not being Downtown, SPACE does an amazing job booking solid talent. First venue in Chicago to host Lake Shore Dive so they do a good job getting talent before they blow up on the scene, but they also get amazing acts like Dr. John. Also, their cocktails are perfectly stiff!

Gets my vote for best intimate venue in the North metropolitan area. Fabulous acoustics, great admission price for reservations, tableside service, wood fired pizza from adjacent joint. Highly Recommend

Great small venue for music acts and the restaurant has very good food. Wait staff and venue staff are polite and attentive. Don't hesitate to visit Space for a great time.

I visited for a recording of The Moth. It was very crowded, but fun to hear the live stories. The show lived up to my expectations. The bar selections were decent. Overall, I had fun.

Nice place but man that air conditioning is way too cold. Thank God I brought a jacket and even with that I was freezing. Multiple complaints to the manager from me and others did nothing to change the temp

Space is a great small live music venue...wish more rock acts played there

One off the best places in Chicagoland to see live music.

We've attended converts at Space and Space's outdoor summer stage, and got a Space concert to go (backyard concert) this year. Space is a fantastic independent concert venue that attracts fantastic talent -- highly recommend!

Great job intimate space withe fantastic accoustics. Local craft beer and we'll stocked bar.

Great venue, intimate for a up close experience with the act you are seeing. Great food from attached restaurant.

Went with a cooped of friends to see an act. Got a meal before and did not regret the choice. Although we did not order any specials the meal was well served and the staff was very friendly.

The coolest small acts. Always delighted. They present such creative musical arts. Sound is excellent. Their summer outdoor events are same, but bigger and great sound.

Loved the Space! Went there recently to see The Lone Bellow for two sold out shows. The second night we were supposed to be on the list but somehow we were left off. Staff was very friendly and after communicating with the band they let us in with no hassle. It is a great intimate setting for music, not a bad spot in the room. Ventilation in the room makes it a lot easier to be close to the band without cooking and waitress service was impressive given the crowd. I would love to see more bands here!

Comfortable, intimate venue. Also, they are active in supporting the local community (featuring local artists and allowing NFPs to do fundraising).

I've seen some great shows there. The waitstaff tries to provide good service but they can only move as the cozy table arrangement allow. I wish they would bring in a pro quality sound tech. The sound quality could be improved.

This is an amazing venue! It's small so no spot is a bad spot to see a show. I highly recommend it!

Plaxe is fabulous, lineup is extremely strong, great ambience. They should really improve the acoustics though. Either that, or some bands need to get their sound right.

Had a great time seeing American English. Adjacent restaurant had good pizza, but not enough grilled octopus in the appetizer.

The layout was good. The bar staff was pleasant. The sound was great and I loved the band that was performing. I was rather upset that management wanted to run the AC during a February performance during the entire second set. Most of the women around were putting there winter coats on because they were so cold. I complained about the temp three times. Nothing was ever done. I left before the performance was over. I see no reason to return.

A great venue for music. It's a very small and intimate music club with both reserved tables and a section for standing. Since it's small, it's best to buy tickets early for popular acts since this place seeks out fast. They have a full bar with a good beer selection. The club has fantastic acoustics so every type of music sound incredible. Also is you choose, you can bring in fits from the pizza restaurant that is connected to the club.
