Wonderful sandwich (I had the chicken pesto), and desserts! Was in town for a conference and decided to try this place out. Was absolutely worth the trip. We went around 1, and the dessert selection had gotten pretty low, so if you're wanting something sweet, I recommend getting there sooner rather than later in the day.

The food at Eva's Bakery is delicious! The coffee is good! The place is warm and has an at-home feel to it! However, they use buzz words like "cage-free" and "natural" on their menu, as a subtle way of justifying the higher prices they charge for the smaller portions you get. Otherwise, not too bad.

Cute atmosphere, but the coffee was lukewarm and in this kind of place, I would expect to have a saucer under my cup of coffee to lay my spoon on. I had the stuff french toast, the filling was wonderful which help because the outside was a little too over done. Not sure if I would go back.

Eva's Bakery is a delight. The pastries are amazing and my latte was perfect. The staff seemed a bit flustered as it got busier, but they still answered my questions and delivered my order perfectly. The house baguette tasted great and my Kouign Amann was perfect. Thank you!! Excellent boulangerie.

This place, with no exaggeration, is a MUST TO GO place in SLC. The food is excellent. Their menu is mouth-drooling. The presentation is appetizing. If I live there, I would seriously go eat there every day. Plus this place is super cool!

Cute, cozy place. Food was delicous! Definitely recommend the stuffed french toast. Service was a little slow, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Seating is a little crowded, so probably not great for large groups or children.

I love Eva's Bakery!

I love Eva's Bakery!
My wife and I arrived at 11am into Salt Lake City for the start of an 8 hour layover. We took the light rail into downtown planning to bike share around town. However it was raining, so we looked for somewhere to grab some lunch and stay dry for a bit.

Wandering down Main Street, we popped in and out of a couple places before we stumbled into Eva's Bakery. Instantly we knew we were in the right place; it was warm, inviting, and all of the staff was so welcoming!

We split a Tuna Melt, and let me say there was a lot going on in this sandwich, all of it good. The tuna mix was light on mayo and long on flavor, containing some marinated onions and peppers. Katy, our wonderful server, explained that the mix is made fresh each day and can change depending on what they have on hand.

Our lattes were so smooth, possibly my favorite latte so far in my 39 years. We decided to select from the pastries to wrap up our meal and to take with us for the afternoon. The staff couldn't wait to help us - discussing their favorites, and what went into the making of each piece. Thank you again to Katy and all the wonderful staff there at Eva's!

We loved the little bakery and wish we could come back sooner than later. Unfortunately we are a 6-hour plane ride away.

Came for brunch on a Saturday and had the eggs Benedict--I swapped the ham for bacon and OMG what a brilliant idea! Everything was absolutely delicious, and yes, we had to wait a while for a table but it was a Saturday afternoon so that's to be expected. The only real complaint I have is that I had a slice of cake from the bakery afterwards and it was very dry...probably due to the fact it was 2pm and the cake was baked and sliced early in the morning but I would suggest to Eva's that they slice the cake upon request instead to prevent it from drying out.

I love the atmosphere of this place - cozy, quaint, French... Great assortment of pastries (love everything one I've tried) and the real food is pretty good, too! The French onion soup wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped for a French place, but not bad.

Eva's Bakery is a charming French-style Boulangerie in Downtown Salt Lake City. They offer a small bistro style menu for dining in, and there is a large variety of freshly made French pastries to enjoy there or to go.
There's a limited amount of seating indoors-ask to be put on the waiting list for a table, or you can sit out on the sidewalk and dine alfresco!
The food was cooked perfectly-our Quiche Lorraine was amazing, and the eggs Benedict was outstanding!
Be aware that if you order water it is served at room temperature!
This is a wonderful little restaurant and well worth a visit!

We found this place because we go to a local cafe that serves their baguettes (that are AMAZING). They have wonderful pastries, I recommend the truffle if you're a chocolate fan. We also sat to eat lunch which was very nice. Quick. The latte is also very delicious. I got the macaroni with the bruchetta and peas (I don't remember what it was called) and the side of avocado toast. They were soooo good. My bf got the croissants sandwhich which he liked. The only weird thing is, is that they don't serve you water with ice, just like room temp.

I have never had a bad experience at Eva's. The pastries are to die for, and everything on the menu for the cafe portion is fantastic. The stuffed French toast is absolutely amazing. When you look at the prices, you may think it's overpriced, but when you see the plates and taste the food you'll see that what you're getting is definitely worth what you're paying. The staff is always friendly, and although there may be a line to be seated, I can guarantee you it's worth the wait.

I went to college next door to this place. I think I went here for lunch more than any other location purely for its convenience. Either I could order a Croquet Monsieur, and haven't heated up, or I could get a tri-tip sandwich and eat it cold. If I wanted to be healthy I could grab a salad and a piece of fruit, or if I was tired I would just get some of their coffee which is very strong and better than three pines down the street. I've also bought some of their bread to share with my friends back at Neumont, which is always been a good cheap snack. I've dinned in a couple of times, and I really love their burger, which has a tomato jelly on it. My favorite side is there roasted potatoes which are usually sliced thin. this place isn't very good for large groups, I would recommend it more for one on one dining or maximum of four guests, and do be aware that it gets very busy here. However overall I have no complaints! Keep up the good work

I went for a latte and some treats before work. Even though it was fairly busy, the staff was very good with keeping everything together. Good coffee, but I feel it is best to sit down and enjoy it rather than getting it to go. Good croissants, both plain and chocolate. The macarons are a bit too much for me, but it's nice that they even offer them in the first place.

My go to breakfast place, I love the food and the ambiance. It s only downfall is that the service can be a little touch and go. I ve never left here and thought wow that was exceptional service. With that being said the employees are still really friendly, but not always attentive.

First, I'll start with the good...this place always has amazing baked goods. Any time I'm downtown, I like to stop in for a little treat to-go. When I'm down with my son, he always asks to pop in with me for a hot chocolate and one of their incredible pastries. Seriously, I could eat my weight in their morning buns.
The bad,
their service has always been terrible. I've been popping sporadically for the last couple years, it's the same treatment. The staff is almost always talking to each other while I patiently wait with a smile. I've even had a few openly flirting with each other right in front of me. After a few minutes, they wrap up their chatting AND THEN take my order. Then there's the attitude I receive...how dare I come in to their place of business and want to purchase a pastry from them? I rarely ever get a pleasant staff member who treats me like my purchase matters.
I know it's not just me. I just today had a work colleague from out of town order pastries from Eva's for a morning meeting for our office. He said "while the pastries were amazing, the gal helping him was all but happy to help him". I was embarrassed because I feel like Salt Lake City is a friendly place to visit. Had I known better, I would have told him to go elsewhere.

My husband and I love Eva s but they seriously need to get some new to go coffee cups. We stopped by on our way out for a long road trip for some coffee and it turned into a disaster. The lid would not stay on the cup. After about an hour of fighting with this coffee cup, we decided to just pull off the free way and throw the entire coffee out. We were both covered in spilt coffee, not to mention the coffee all over my car. The frustration and mess is not worth it. Definitely don t recommend getting their coffee to go.

Just finished breakfast at Eva's this morning with my family. We *loved* it. Our kids asked us to go back again tomorrow. We were seated quickly, and the staff was among the kindest and most attentive I've seen at any restaurant. Definitely worth the break from the mass-produced chain restaurant crap!

I was so excited to come across this place, and all my friends were just as happy with their experience here as I was. The food was fantastic and the coffee stupendous. I had a mocha and the garden benedict, but I was also able to try the avocado toast and quiche; all of it was great. We took pastries to go as well, and I spent WAY too much here just cause I wanted it all!

5 stars for food and ambiance. Cute little bakery. Breakfast selection is small but enough. Stuffed French toast and the Quiche Lorraine were flavorful and well presented. Kouign Amann and the croissants were flaky. 3.5 stars for the sit down service. The restaurant section seemed understaffed because service was a little slow and slightly cold.
