An endless wait to pass the security check. A single scan for a hundred people on 03/27/2018. Conclusion, once passed after an hour there was barely 20 minutes to go to PAF. Thank you for making me miss my flight

Aside from the bomb scare which closed the airport, getting through was quick enough.

However, this airport, named after a Swiss city but located in France is split into Swiss and French halves, despite being wholly located in France.

You can walk between French and Swiss halves (if you go upstairs) but can't drive from the French side to the Swiss side without leaving the airport and driving along the motorway leaving France, crossing into Switzerland, looping back on yourself, driving back up alongside the motorway and entering the airport from the other side (none of which is actually signposted). About a 20 minute drive (or a 2 minute walk)

Car hire is similarly split into Swiss and French halves and you must return your car to the correct respective side...or be fined.

An utterly stupid arrangement, design and implementation!

A great airport to arrive into - the passenger 'journey' from plane to public transport is rapid and easy. Departures can be crowded with too few seats, especially for travel outside the Schengen. Food offering is poor and overpriced. Lounge is fairly good.

17th Aug 2020: the toilets in the departure lounge on your way to gates 23 - 30+, were very dirty, unhygienic and smelly. If the airport can t keep public toilets disinfected and hygienically clean during a global pandemic, there is no hope for it. The most basic hygiene measures are flouted. No surprise then that the virus is spreading so fast and steeply in France!

The controls take far too long compared to other airports, because too few counters are occupied. The additional passport control at the entry and exit is also very annoying.
But the highlight was the staff from the cleaning service, who alternately pressed the buttons on the toilet and did not care about the presence of passengers. So of course you can fake the statistics.

Absolute disaster this airport !!!

Absolute disaster this airport !!!
About three quarters of an hour waiting at the passport control.
Passengers must stay in a long narrow corridor with very poor ventilation. Unmotivated, cheeky staff! If there is the possibility I will fly more often from Zurich.

Nice airport by cons with regard to the security personnel, men and women together, it is to review .... you are not customs officers it is true that you do your job but I think it is not limited only to security ... the courtesy should be at the rendezvous a little more often

Nice, Basel has an airport. However, the facilities and the logistics at the airport is a bit of the worst thing in the international comparison. It lacks good cafes, useful shops like a Migros or Coop. I would be happy with a good bakery (not like those with greasy cheap pastry that it has today). Security clearance, well. Departures are okay so far, although the gates do not shine with good gastronomy, as it is. in Zurich or Geneva. Arrival mostly associated with waiting times (passport control and luggage belt). A train or at least tram connection would be great. The airport bus almost always has too little room for the passengers.

An international airport shared by 3 countries. You cannot exit to all 3 countries, France, Switzerland and Germany. I can say that I flew many times. free wifi service is nice. The free shop and eating and drinking places are unfortunately small. transportation is very easy. Turkish Airlines has flights

very close to the car parks, the limit of the lack of respect during the control before boarding. Really limit. It should be remembered that there are not necessarily people of bad intentions in the passengers but also vacationers. 20 minutes of control by telling me positive about drugs, anything and do not put Occitan cream on the hands, because it is detected as a drug

Our luggage did not leave EuroAirport when we did,...

Our luggage did not leave EuroAirport when we did, though we arrived and checked in more than an hour before our Hop! flight to CDG on December 7, 2013.
After checking with Delta Airlines this morning, we found out that our luggage still had not left Basel. If it does leave today, it will go through Amsterdam, we think, and from there to Detroit, possibly arriving in the USA tonight, but it may not arrive at all...the phrase used by the Delta representative referring to lost luggage at Basel and CDG was "black hole".
Our hope is that our possessions will arrive with our luggage, but after having it sitting at the airport for more than 24 hours with no one knowing where it was, we are prepared to find our luggage emptied of everything but our dirty clothing.
We are writing this as a warning to any other travelers going out of Basel.

Directions in the morning very poorly lit signs and lower case. Not immediately apparent where which parking spaces can be reached. Huge price differences in these parking lots. Is very much in need of improvement. At the same time many construction sites on the way. Already made very casual or deliberately to take advantage of the expensive parking lots.

Terrible airport, the only food available is sandwiches or pastry. If you have any food allergies you'll go hungry. Very few shops and restaurants available airside. Staff are rude, despite being a shared French/German/Swiss airport, staff largely only speak French and make no attempt at speaking English or German even in the Swiss section of the airport. I've been in much smaller airports with more available

Too bad some Swiss believe themselves above everything (the airport is on French and Swiss territory)

Check-in staff is not well trained (observation for years) and unfriendly.
With the smallest problem you are overwhelmed. In front of us there was a family of 4 and we had to wait 25 minutes for this check-in.

Please provide better training or further training for staff.

Airport 50 minutes drive from my city, by highway. It's very convenient, I find someone to drop me off. This airport, cut in two, with the French side and the Swiss / German side is not too big, we are there to wait for our plane, clean, friendly and with a restaurant to wait.

We had a problem with the entry. No one spoke German or English which I think is an absolute no go at an airport no English to speak. also the Lost and Found were absolutely unfriendly and understood apparently nothing. Zurich is 100 times better organized and trained.

Arrivals only

Arrivals only

I can't comment on the departures as I've never actually taken off from this airport, but I landed here in April 2017 (I usually took flights to Switzerland via Zurich / Geneva, but Basel, for once, was cheaper!).

It was a horrible afternoon after an awful flight from Gatwick. All the way from the French side of the channel to Basel it rained and was rather turbulent. It was quite unpleasant, especially for such a short flight.

Landing at the airport was a doddle, though. There were no other planes around us, and I was on the bus to Basel SBB within 10 minutes of landing - I travel light to Switzerland, using a rucksack.

I don't know if anything has changed since my visit, but I remember it being well signposted for entry into France and Switzerland, at least. The only thing that could be signposted better is where to collect the bus from, but that's really the only complaint I have.

It is a tiny, tiny airport though - almost the same size as Bournemouth, so i wouldn't be expecting much from it in terms of Duty Free if I were ever to take off from there.

From 5 planes that land simultaneously, it's chaos! have made us wait in the basement before retrieving our luggage I find it lamentable on the part of a -disant aeropot international! We recognize the predominance of Swiss management! I will leave Zurich the next time as well as the arrival!

Airport real tourists, and I do not speak of those who come to fly. After a crazy wait at the security check, you still have to make a crazy queue at the customs. Come the day before to get your plane

The staff are very rude and haughty. It is unacceptable. It is especially on the SWISS side which are badly polished !! Do they think they are certainly in a position of strength ... I can't explain it. I use this airport very often during the year, and each time, no smiles. In short, a disaster ...

Was initially skeptical because of the bad reviews. But I have to make it clear that things are calm and relaxed. The vending machines and parking fees are relatively (too fra) cheap.

In the beginning we had problems with our online tickets and I thought oh dear, let's go ... but experienced a very satisfactory service overall (except for Bonjour, I don't speak a word of French)

We find the new (Express Parking), which is intended for the short unloading and the picking up of the passengers, very badly solved.
An airport with such a location is expected to be more professional! When it rains, or rather in bad weather, loading and picking up becomes a strange experience. Especially for disabled people.
Many thanks to the operators
