If you're planning on doing serious shopping, make sure to layer up because you'll need to strip down. This store is uncomfortably hot. It's also crowded, with literally bus loads of tourists deposited in the store. That said, the women's apparel and shoes are well merchandised. It is a joy to walk around and see the marble and wood stairs, the old glass elevators, the top floor observation deck, and the interior dome. There probably is a better place to actually shop in Paris, but GL is a special destination to at least visit.

The most beautiful department store in the world. Due to the corona crisis and the lack of tourists in Paris, the number of customers is very manageable.

Went a few times.
My favorite is the food court with a supermarket.
There are all kinds of advanced seasonings.

It's good but you have to have the budget and also be careful if you go with friends because it is very easy to get lost

One of the most beautiful buildings in Paris, in art nouveau style. More than in a shopping center it seems to be in a theater, with the balconies facing the central stalls. There is also the panoramic terrace

Magnificent department store, professional sellers, many brands, very beautiful setting upstairs

It is a five-peso store that offers everything from perfumes to clothing from renowned brands. It also has a well-stocked bookstore and a very nice souvenir area at good prices (on the sixth floor). There I bought for 10 euros an adapter for the French plugs, super necessary.

A must see while in Paris. Multilevel, old-fashioned but lavishly elegant department store with reasonably priced cafeteria specials. Great view of city from roof observation deck. Large center hall dome is spectacular. Prices of many items being sold seemed very high to me but store has apparently figured out how to thrive even with current day internet compettion.

Wonderful French warehouse with a multitude of shops spread over several floors.
On the ground and second floors there are the major brands of accessories and women's clothing that continues on the third floor, on the fourth floor there is a Disney store and clothing, on the fifth daycare and baby products, on the sixth gift shop and toys and a buffet restaurant. , on the seventh clothing and on the eighth a panoramic terrace.
Fantastic under the Christmas season, when a tree of at least 20 meters is mounted in the center of the building.

The biggest department store in Paris with a wide choice of brands, large selection of products and good range of price where you can always buy something fits for your needs. The tax refund is so user friendly and you can complete it without the need for a long queue in the airport. However, as a friendly reminder, you still need to follow the instructions.

I have heard a lot about Galeries Lafayette in my high school and college French courses. I only had a short time to go through some departments within. Le Printemps (Spring Department Store) was another one very close to Galeries Lafayette.

Building very well placed near the opera and Saint Lazarus. The circular dome is beautiful and well worth the cost to look. For the rest, it is a lot of people and tourists, endless brands. But an essential place to buy quality products. Salespeople are in high demand but keep customers well informed.

Amazing roof top views over Paris. And the main shopping area old balcony and glass ceiling is Spectacular. The shopping experience is crowded and busy and expensive!
