It is an excellent restaurant for a group dinner, they are used to receiving it. Good and not too expensive. I like the skewer of scallops and bacons.

Horrible restaurant and low quality food. The service was horrible and orders were mixed up. They still have the old torn plastic cups from the opening of the restaurant many years ago. Rusty chairs and tables outside. The meat is horrible, old and not high quality. It is cheap yes and worth not more than the prices indicated, but it is a very disappointing restaurant.

Good but overcrowded, small parking and cold in the winter near the windows

The lunch menu has a great variety at a very reasonable price and the food is excellent. Parking can be difficult but you can park.on the street behind the restaurant if you go around the block.

Food is not fresh, the place is dirty and old, need reno, windows super dirty, ceiling fan do not look at it and an owner that welcome you with attitude like you feel you are bothering him...also with his staff no communication and rude and walk like a soldier in the restaurant at least the waiter was good but its sad because this place was so great before....

Awesome food at very reasonable prices. Portion sizes are quite generous. Nice place for a family dinner or a date... well beware that there will be garlic. Bring your own wine!

Microwaved frozen vegetables, and deep-fried drenched in oil calamari. It didn't help that we were a table of 20 and sat beside the waiter station beside the garbage and all....

Food was awful, had scallops from the.luncj menu cooked, refrozen,recooked, refrozen....... repeat every thing else on the menu was Super Salty not edible!whole dining area NEEDS A COMPLETE CLEANING!! FILTHY CARPETS, KITCHEN not to clean either.

The food was pretty disgusting. Had an entree of fried eggplants and artichoke hearts that were soggy and DRIPPING with oil. The main course had dry, bacon wrapped scallops and the vegetables were soggy frozen vegetables. Could have made better food myself.

Excellent food for your money, get there early , parking.is a real challenge. Many repeat customer, bring your own wine too.

Awful. The food was too salty and overcooked.
But the worst part was the waitress, she pushed us to eat asap and leave the table because someone waiting for the table!!!!!

I have been coming here for years and always loved the food. Great food for a reasonable price in a cozy atmosphere. The service has never been great but at least it was efficient. To start my friend and I were seated at make shift table placed in front of the door, totally looked out of place. Server was nice but unattentive. Food quality has gone down, using salad as a filler. I ordered a meal to go (which seemed to annoy the manager) when i opened it at home it was missing the salad filler and most of the food .....wish I had taken a picture. I hope the owner reads the comments and puts his passion back, clean the sticky floors and keep that beautiful building in good shape.

First off, the restaurant didn't have our reservation but did find a table for us. We were seven people.
I ordered the Calamari which the waiter told me they were known for. It wasn't very good at all. Very greasy and rubbery. The salad was just some lettuce leaves thrown together with very little tomato and just a light vinegar dressing.
Maybe they were having an off night because apparently the place is always full.
I was totally unimpressed and won't be going back.

Good food. Decent prices but service isn't great. The weekends are very crowded and noisy and the waits are long for a table. This is an old restored house and the floors are very squeaky and vibrate when staff walks around which can be very annoying depending on where you are sitting. Also there are many items on the menu that are never available.

The restaurant was very busy and the food was pretty good. We were a large group, so we got a special meal deal which was great value/portion for money. It is also a bring your own wine establishment, which is always a bonus.

We ate very well. It was very hot in the upper room but after informing the staff, the air conditioning was turned on. Good service, courteous.

Atmosphere is vintage, food is amazing, prices are amazing and their staff is awesome. You get bang for your buck here and would recommend this place highly. Only downside is their parking.... it gets crowded on weekends.

My family and I used to go to this restaurant at least once a month. The last two times we had the same waitress who was incredibly rude and impatient. She must be related to the owners. I can't imagine how someone so lacking in people skills could continue to be employed otherwise. It's a shame, because the food is always fantastic.

Cozy little restaurant with many options for the Greek lover in you. Service was great, food above average and price is fair for what you get, plus you can bring your own wine. Go on a date or bring the whole family, I think you'll enjoy!

I went for a late lunch to celebrate two family birthdays. As usual it was busy. Although busy the quality of the food was 5 star without compromise, as usual. The wait staff were friendly and professional and responded in a timely fashion to our needs. The occasion was made special for everyone.

Very disappointed! Made a reservation on December 1st, for December 27th... Had a confirmation on December 4th for a party of 8 ! When we arrived on December 27th, we were informed that our reservation was not in the reservation book at the front desk ......We were made to feel like we had never had a reservation to begin with. ....We were made to feel they made space for us, but had to be out by 7pm....for the people with the next reservation. .... the hostess kept walking by our table looking her watch. . Made us all feel very uncomfortable. .. I was so embarrassed !!! We brought family to our favorite restaurant, and we were made to feel like second class citizen ... my husband showed the hostess our confirmation of our reservation. ...all she said was I will deal with this? No apology or compensation for the inconvenience or lack of respect ... We got sat at the table next to the service door....Very noisy and we were constantly bumped by servers passing by. Will I bring others to your restaurant. .I don't think so... Very disappointed with the service and professional services as well.

Me and my girlfriend, we went to this restaurant this week and, my god, what a disappointment! On a hot and humid day; No air conditioning and flies are part of the decor! Home cold of the owner, especially when asked why there is no ventilation ?! Average service from the server, long wait times and average meals. At least the bill is not salty! Just before leaving, two regulars of the restaurant that seems to know the owner, discuss with him the sweltering heat .... and it offers them to go upstairs where there is air conditioning! ! . Let's say I found it very stupid of him ... He will never see us again face!

Parking lot is not marked at all and almost dark, no lights in or they don't turn it on as well as when you don't find a space you have to return backward. I made a reservation two days ago for eight o'clock because 7:30 they told me not possible and arrived there and had to stand on a tight place at the entrance for half hour. There was a couple ahead of us there reservation was 8:15. The host who never look to his reservation sheet and when a table was free while the owner knows that our appointment is at 8pm, he seated that couple first, when I made him that remark he said that they arrived before you, no logic because either he respects the reservations he asked for originally or first in, first seated. It took 5 more minutes to sit. It was the worst table location in whole restaurant. I didn't discuss it because I had enough. First thing they put on table was burnt toast, all of them, and what was not burnt on the two sides they put the white side up. The main plate was cold, i mean it cold, as well as the worst presentation of the plate, all mixed up. The quail not done properly. I was glad to leave that place and they will not see us again. A low price is not the main selection of a restaurant. This place has to be remodeled, it is the same for years, also the day I was there a client fell with the broken seat as soon as he sat on it.

Best ever lunch on a terrace. Loose a lot of it's charms when forced to eat inside.

It was my 1st time there for a Christmas party so we were a big group and all i have to say is wow ...the food, the service and the decor was great . I will be back thats for sure

The first time I went to this restaurant I heard great reviews on the atmosphere and the food but my visit on August the 18th was more than a let down.

I understand that circumstances come up but please do not serve raw and over cooked meat. My girlfriend and her sister had ordered the filet minion, once they sliced into the meat it was raw on the inside. I ordered chicken breast with shrimp, my chicken was overcooked and for my whole meal I only recieved two shrimps.

What baffled me is that they sent back the undercooked meat to be recooked but it still came back rare.

I spoke to the owner who was not even phased by the fact that raw meat was served and could get guests very sick if consumed. My girlfriend's sister is 7 months pregnant, what would happen if she consumed the raw meat. If the owner isn't phased by this then he doesn't care about the food going out to customers, nor is he going to change this to happen again in his restaurant.

The food was so amazing that it made up for the slightly long wait. Probably my favourite restaurant in the West Island now. The bacon wrapped scallops are really good.

Called on Friday to make a reservation for my mom birthday on Saturday. The person who picked up the phone said for tomorrow reservation you have to call back tomorrow and I don't have time now to take any reservation and hang up on my face. Called Saturday early morning to reserve again, and they said we have at 8:00 pm only. If you want take it in no its not my problem . Very bad customer service . Called

A good greek restaurant on Des Sources road. They have 2 stairs and a terrace. You can have your time outside in the summer. Takes a while for your order as it's a bit big restaurant. Also depends on the rush. Sometimes because of big reservations. I have visited couple of times. I am a vegetarian and I felt the food is good for the price. Make a reservation if u dont wanna wait.

Very good for the price . The only downside is that if you go at a temperature below -15 degrees and you are seated in the front section you need warm boots and a good sweater

The food is always superb at La Porte Grecque! My family and I have been coming here for decades, with both my Mom and Dad, and my sister and her husband, having their rehearsal dinners here. Perfect for family occasions, and also a great spot for dates! My boyfriend loved it when I brought him here. The greatest selling point: amazing food, for a low price! I would highly recommend the lamb chops.

We went on Saturday evening and I felt that the restaurant was very busy . There were lots of groups of people, there seemed to be lots of confusion amongst the staff as to where people were supposed to be seated. The food was okay, but the presentation was sloppy. Personally I don't think that I will return to this restaurant.

Nice warm atmosphere and my dish was tasty. Courteous and fast service. I will go back there.

Only issue is the miserable owner who lingers around in anger. We weren t allowed to change tables because of reservations but we observed that barely anybody came, and the room we wanted to move to was almost empty the rest of the night. I understand why this place has such a low rating.

We were there for lunch and had something from the all-in lunch menu (really delicious choices...like Souvlaki or lamb or .... for under $15). But I did find the enclosed porch cool so next time I'm sitting inside by the fireplace. And yes, there WILL be a next time. The food was THAT good!

Amazing service from our waiter Christopher. Delicious cheap food. Beautiful place. But tables are too closed to each other. It is very noisy.

Went there this week...no air conditioning and the tzatziki was runny and warm...shrimps over cooked and rubbery. Brought us each 1 shrimp each because they weren't ready. Long wait...owner is rude and treats his staff poorly in front of customers.
