The worst serves I have ever had! The host first wanted to kick us out because our group was to big and we did not want to go up stairs because it was like a old sweaty school classroom but we had reservations. Also the food was grease and the chocolate cheesecake dessert was so sweet. The waitress decided not to tell us till last minute that they were out of shrimp contaits so one of us had to reorder, well we were all eating. The parking was the worst and the heat was killing. Including the bathroom was discussing. I will never go back!

Went last nite for a B-Day party. was very disappointed they ran out of steak had no diet drinks. food was burnt. bread hard as a rock.Been going there for years. That was the last time
Went there for my birthday for the first time in years. I used to go quite often ten years ago, and loved the food. Sad to say that the quality has gone down since then. Used to be a five star in my books, now it's a 2 1/2. I was hoping to have the same dining experience from the past, but even the desert menu has shrunk down to only four choices (and sad looking choices as well).
Our waitress was great though, nothing bad to say about the staff.
Place needs some TLC as well, doesn't look very clean.
The service leaves a desired paske the waitress is never there. My filet mignon was blue and I asked for it medium / rare and the pepper sauce is jus de vesselle .. The carpet that goes upstairs really does not smell good ..
The waitress is barely doing her job as she was waiting for my water about 20 mins. My filet mignon was not cooked as i was asked and my rice was cold. The carpet leading upstairs stinks as hell and i am not coming back again never.
We went here for a small group Christmas party with friends at work. There was a waiter assigned for us which is not bad though because he was very attentive and I am glad he was able to serve us promptly. The food is alright. Prices are very affordable. The place is very cozy and inviting too with all the Christmas decors. It was an experience but I do not think I will be coming back for a good Greek food. Best part is BYOB.
Bad services , the toilet is not covering the number of customers, it's an appartment toilet, the waiter it was arrogant an he insulted us because we gave him less than 15% tips.
Amazing food, I can say with confidence that this restaurant is a dying breed of chefs to that actually care about their food. Amazing service, atmosphere and food. My only complaint is that their parking lot is a bit odd.
I visited this place against my better judgement My preferred dish; swordfish, that i chose before from their website, and which is also on the menu was not available anymore. (Though it was never removed from either online or their menu?)For fish I had only 2 remaining choices, and when I received my plate it looked absolutely terrible. A fried white fish they reffered to as "dole" smothered in a sauce with 2 potato wedges and one small spoon of rice. Not to mention a salad I got with my meal that had one sorry slice of tomato and one, lonely slice of cucumber.
I will not speak on the poor service because I realised that our waitress was being informed that they ran out of all steak options and was in no doubt a stressful mood. It seems to be a poorly managed restaurant that gets by on lower prices, but even lower quality. At best the food was mediocre and don't understand how it is still open.
Excellent atmosphere, although packed with people in this season of the end of the year! The setting is warm, with beams on the ceiling! I think the server pressed too much at the time of the order, but he made good suggestions! I had taken a mediterranean trio - nothing exceptional as a dish! By cons I loved the dessert a cheesecake baklava and soup of the day was exquisite
Yikes, what a horrible experience. I can t help but think that some of the higher reviews are totally biased. Where do I even begin? The food was good overall, but the experience was one of the worst I ve ever had at any restaurant. The waitress was older and frankly, disgusting. I asked for a quieter table so we didn t have to endure the manager speaking so loudly on the phone. The manager comes back with the waitress assuring me that the area we are sitting in will be the quietest in the restaurant , but if I gave them another excuse they would accommodate us. That was the first red flag. We settle at our current table, where the waitress didn t know the food on the Table D haute. 2 of our 4 member party order Halibut, but then we re told they haven t had it years. THEN WHY IS IT STILL ON THE MENU IF ITS BEEN YEARS? The other 2 members of our party order the Butchers Cut and we re told it s a piece of Fillet Mignon but when we get the dish it s cut up on a skewer with ton of onions and a single tiny slice of green pepper. Fries were disgustingly wet. While we re trying to eat, the waitress is talking with a frequent patron about all her medical problems, going into disgusting details, less than a few inches away from us. That other patron was so close to us, is it clear that he was listening to our entire conversation which made us very uncomfortable. We get to desert/coffee and this totally takes the cake (pun intended). They waitress bring a platter with all the cakes smashed together, no idea what any of them were so we passed on it. We get coffee and the cream/sugar basket was not only completely wet, but for 4 people, there were 3 milks and 3 creams in it. What is it, amateur hour? So I finish my coffee and I discover ACTUAL GARBAGE IN MY COFFEE MUG. ACTUAL GARBAGE. I didn t even bother mentioning it because I know they would jus blame me for it. Honestly, don t eat here. The food was decent, but service is just as important and they totally fell flat. DONT EAT HERE
I always have a great meal there. The service is not always fast and friendly and you need to make sure that you leave in time for the next seating if you have an early meal, but their kitchen is efficient and effective enough to make that possible. Quality and flavour is consistently delivered.
They have a plate with quail, lamb chops, and Greek sausage that really hits me in all the right places. Chicken, lamb, pork, and other Greek classics are all done right. Their calamari, tzatziki, and salads also satisfy. They do a good job of handling large groups for special events with a fixed or varied menu. Make sure you make a reservation - they get very busy.
Affordable lunch menu, quick and good quality food. Their lunch menu is at 10.99 if I'm not mistaken and it comes with an appetizer, main meal, dessert, coffee or tea! So it's really worth it. Their calamaris are great! Service is good too :)
I love Greek food and La Porte Grecque does not disappoint. The different combinations of meat, poultry and seafood with fresh salad is so nice and the portions are generous! Mondays and Tuesdays are perfect for a romantic dinner as it is less crowded. Don't forget to bring your favorite wine :)
Do not go there. The service was terrible. It was a mistake going there. The owner was rude, asking me how long I would need the table for and saying I must guarantee to be there for 6pm exactly when I made a reservation. When I arrived they were rude again and made my group of four wait ten minutes while they seated people who arrived after us. I note one person in the group was very visibly pregnant. When seated we were told that all the menus were in use for a big table. They were not. Tables around us were recieving menus.
It was ok but nothing special. The salad dressing had no flavour & the rest of the food was not memorable. We felt like we were packed in like sardines, squashed in a corner. I would not return anytime soon.
I was shocked at how bad it has become.... The floor and tablecloth were very dirty. I ordered the surf and turf.. The beef was ok. But the scampis were cold and looked like they were left overs from other people's plates.. Just horrible., will Never go there again... I'm surprised it has so many people going there, it must be the bring your own wine.. I am upset because I used to love that place.
Delicious fresh food. Large portions. Very well priced. Excellent and quick service from Kevin! Been going there for over 15 years now and it s always going to be my fav go to restaurant! Keep up the great work!
For being several times a year this place has a high speed spoiled, poor service, food without taste, I will not go back. it was very good there are 2-3 years but it is more edible. Service a big 0!
