What a great agency! This was our first time buying a property in the UK and both my wife and I were shocked, and disheartened by the complacency we were shown by some of the larger agents in the West End. With most of the other firms we had to request home reports over and over again, booked viewings that the didn't show up to and in more than one case the property we have noted interest in went to a closing date without us being told. It was also very clear that as soon as we didn't want to take their additional services or they found out we didn't have a house to list with them they lost interest in us.
We were almost resigned to staying in our rented flat for the next few years until we spoke to this agent who showed us two properties at the weekend and answered our many queries outwith the 9-5 (when we were also at work!) In the end we got a great property through them and even after settlement they helped us out with finding good reputable contractors to help with some of the improvements we wanted to make. We will without doubt use them when we come to sell our apartment in a few years, and as a buyer I wish more of the properties we had been interested in were listed with small dedicated agencies like this.

My house sale was complicated but the Lewis and his team were always easy to reach and we got a good sale price in the end. We had been with another agent before The Estate Agency took over. Relieved to finally have the house sold and the whole thing complete. I 100% recommend this estate agent.

The Estate Agency Company was by far the cheapest offer on the market that we could find, a fixed rate cost for a fully managed service. The quality of service was fantastic - we could always get in touch with our dedicated agent, everything moved as quickly as it could have done, and we got our target sale price for our property.

We sold our home with the guys last year and it went brilliantly well. We loved Lewis and his down to earth approach, he was very professional but also very approachable and never pushy. Very good communication from start to finish and also went the extra mile and provided us so much advice on purchasing our next property and that was invaluable!!! Buying a house is scary but this guy makes you relax. Everything went smooth as silk, keys pick up was easy. Unfortunately the seller left me a nasty surprise with a hidden leaky roof but Lewis done all he could to help me in this unfortunate situation. Even though he was not obligated he still tried to help. He s one of the good guys.

Our recent house move was the first time we have sold a home in almost 30 years, we are glad we picked the Estate Agency Co! Our house was presented beautifully and had quite a few viewers, after the closing date we agreed on a good sale price - it was more than the surveyor had given in the home report. Our daughter also sold using this company and went quickly. Highly recommended!!

"By far the worst estate agency I have ever delt with. As a buyer I phoned them up 5 times to get a viewing confirmed. Kept getting passed about and eventually told I would get a call back from someone else but no call back ever. As a seller I would not go anywhere near them as they can't even do the minimum expected form an agent. I would give them zero star if that was possible. Sellers avoided."

"I went and seen Lewis. Really nice guy and took the time to see me.
He explained that unfortunately on this occasion things didn't work as they normally do.
I'm sure I will see him again and deal with The Estate Agency again and next time I will get a chance to update my score and write a positive review."

Excellent communication and incredible helpful. Even took the trouble to meet my partner and I to drop off our keys to our new property where we were having lunch.

I highly recommend.

Buying my first home and Lewis was a true angel, helped me through the process. Even during the viewing I felt comfortable that he was being genuinely honest and not lying to make a sale. Sharing his knowledge from within the industry to help me with the renovations I would need to carry out the house. Even when my solicitors were not communicating efficiently Lewis was always available to help me out. I absolutely will not hesitate in recommending this company and will be using them when the time comes for me to sell this property. Although this is me buying my first home I ve privately let from most of the big names and never have I been treated as nice and honest as Lewis and his team looked after me.

I have recently attempted to buy a property marketed by this company. The way, the company, and Lewis Murphy have conducted business and treated myself has been completely unethical and unprofessional.

I had my offer accepted verbally yesterday morning with it also being submitted in writing by my solicitor. I have now been told today that they have now received and accepted another offer on the property. Because it was only a verbal acceptance I cannot do anything but this is simply not how you conduct business and the correct thing to do after accepting my offer would be to mark it under offer and not entertain any further offers for the property.

The way I have been treated is terrible and I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am gutted and I hope that no-one else has to go through this experience.

What I thought was going to be a stressful process in selling my house for the first time was a smooth one.

I went to the Estate Agency Company on recommendation. I had not heard of the company before, having previously bought and sold in England only. My contact at the company was Lewis Murphy.

I contacted the firm, by phone, at a point when estate agents were effectively grounded in terms of physical contact/ home visits. The telephone advice from Lewis proved to be both accurate and very helpful.

The sales process in Scotland is different to that in the rest of the UK. The guidance I got from the company left me confident in my understanding of the specific processes there and also that I had found the right operator.

When the embargo was lifted, Lewis Murphy visited the house and guided my brother and I on the current position on house sales and steps we should take (or, indeed not) to make the house saleable.

The Estate Agency very quickly arranged a house review and an extremely impressive marketing package, as well as assisting me with other contacts and in particular, a superb solicitor.

What seemed like no time after marketing began, the company notified me that they had many viewings scheduled for the following Saturday. On the Monday, following detailed discussions with Lewis Murphy, I agreed a sale that I was (and am) very happy with.

As a seasoned buyer and seller, I would happily recommend the Estate Agency Company on the basis of my experiences with the Firm. I have been subjected to hype and spin many times in the past, but this company is up front and straight with you and for me, real value for money. I don t chuck praise around lightly, but Lewis Murphy earns his crust and then some. I have used national operators in the past and the new concept estate agents, but I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending The Estate Agency Company.
