Very good hotel, nice staff, good service and view...
Very good hotel, nice staff, good service and view of the sea from the room. Go back next generation :)
Very good hotel, nice staff, good service and view of the sea from the room. Go back next generation :)
Very good location , loads of activities for kids and adults , room was good , staff is realy truly helpfull , food fantastic , car park to small for that many visitors so get ready to park on the street lol, but overall good place to stay for your holidays . Will be staying again for sure 100%
Great hotel
But very noisy
Amazing hotel with SPA facilities available till late 22:30 and private hour can be booked if required . The food is a strong 5 star . The receptionist and all the staff are fully trained and very welcoming . This is definitively my best find in Newquay , Cornwall . I see ourselves coming back to this place yearly .
We return again and again confident we will find clean and comfortable accommodation, good food and friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble to make your stay a happy one.
Great place and views are fantastic. Hotel is comfortable and the meals are very good but could do with more vegetables and salad. Area is really nice but the centre is very jaded
Nice view of the ocean from the lobby lounge. Waited 62 minutes for food to arrive and it was cold. Not recommended.
Brilliant family hotel. The swim and Sunday roast deal was amazing value
Not bad. Nice staff, great location. Opted for sea view and glad we did as its a great view.
The room is not big but not small either. Clean enough and a nice bathroom.
Breakfast is not bad, although the kippers and smoked fish were like cardboard.
The pool and jacuzzi is nice and if you leave it late enough the screaming kids have all gone and its all the better.
Its a hotel aimed at families and kids and we did not realise this but luckily mid week there weren't that many so we managed to avoid them.
In summary; I'd say we'd stay there again as its a great location and fair value for Newquay. But only when kids are at school.
The pool was a bit small but it did have a hot tub, the food could have been cooked a bit more. Overall good place!
We had a great time over the weekend with Exeter network church
Great position opposite Fistral Beach. Comfortable rooms and clean. Very helpful staff.
Very nice. Sister hotel next door, fistal beech Spa, slightly better
Amazing staff, food and views, excellent Margaritas
Lovely spacious airy room with amazing sea views. Jacuzzi bath. Extra towels and robes provided for swimming. We received a card and chocolates on our anniversary.
Very clean, great view of Fistral beach from our room, food amazing but far too much!, Malcolm who worked in the bar was brilliant, always remembered what we drank, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, would recomend this hotel.
A good hotel in a wonderful location overlooking Fistral beach. Not a pretty building but good service and accommodation inside.
Nice room, good food, friendly staff & fun Christmas party
Excellent Family Hotel!! Visited The Esplanade Hotel with our two children and were really pleased with the bedroom, facilities and food! Couldn't fault the service - very friendly staff! Our hotel family loved it!
Lovely hotel. Kids really had fun with loads of activities on offer. Will definitely visit again
Staff were lovely, amazing view, good facilities, clean room. Parking only issue, which is always a problem in Newquay anyway, family room with sliding doors directly onto hotel play area. Definitely coming back.
Best Hotel of Cornwall...Hospitality was Good..Excellent...Loved it
I'm in the midst of my visit to Esplanade, but already I've been gobsmacked by the best customer service I've had at a hotel in the UK ( and I travel around this great country a lot)
Since I had a very early (and loooong) train ride to Newquay I requested an early check-in. It was granted online. But when I arrived, my rooms previous guest had requested a late check-out , so they couldn't accomodate. I was visibly disappointed ( and in need of a nap!) I went to wait in the bar.
Less than ten minutes later Ashley comes up to tell me she's upgraded my room to a larger seaview on the first floor and no extra charge.
I brought my own organic food and there was no fridge, but when I call to see if I could arrange for some ice they brought a small fridge to my room.
Additionally the bed was kind of bouncy castle soft, so they put on two extra duvets and tightened them down with a sheet.
Every request was created with kindness and positivity and 'can absolutely do' attitude.
I have an autoimmune disease so these extra miles were not only kind, but compassionate and in these difficult times very very welcome. .
I've just returned from my first stay and was very impressed. I was only there for two nights, but everything I needed, was there.
The reception staff were particularly friendly and helpful, the room was well stocked with tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and token toiletries, and great view overlooking Fistral Beach.
The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean and tidy.
Lovely relax area at the front of the hotel to read/have a drink and look out to the beach.
I will be returning soon
Great stay. Great location and loads of attractions for kids included in the price. Harry Kazam was the best. Food not overpriced. Just right. Not a lot of parking spaces and couple improvements could be made but overall great stay. Thx
Simple stuff, done well. Rooms are what you'd expect, but it is all clean and friendly. The service is slow but delivered what we needed for bar food and breakfast. Parking is a bit of an issue
Very comfortable stay, and the breakfasts are fantastic. We would love to come back.
The rooms were ok great beds but looking a little dated decor wise but ideal for the location
Breakfast was good. Room was tidy with plenty of room but smelt damp everywhere.
Absolutely beautiful hotel brillent staff will be revisiting
Great view from hotel ideal surfing or kids holiday most amenities quire a walk away at least 20mins but taxi service in area is great and cheap rooms were suffice and staff are very friendly and more than happy to help cater your needs all round great place to stay.
just had a 1 night stay. Nice clean hotel. Room was tidy. Bathroom was clean. Kettle was missing but then provided by the friendly receptionist as soon as we mentioned it.
Great facilities for children. Soft play area. Swimming pool.
Lovely views overlooking the fistral beach.
Will return again.
A great Birthday party for our 6 year old. We regularly use the hotel and the staff are always friendly and the facilities are great
Great location... Staff extremely polite and welcoming.
A good hotel with excellent views over the Atlantic.
Is definitely overpriced and they could do with something more fresh and refreshing for a breakfast
Good venue for a christmas party, our room was spacious and bed comfortable.
Nice but expensive. Typical for seafront areas in Cornwall
Lovely hotel, lots of activities for the kids. Giving 4 stars as no minibar (fridge) to put away drinks/water for kids
Lovely staff, nice poolside with Jacuzzi and sauna enjoyed everyday in it and especially breathtaking view.
Beautifully situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Ideal for surfers. Great staff.
Location is right next to beach staff and food lovely
Lovely interior, very nice staff and food was great
Lovely place to stay. Very friendly staff and comfortable room. Great choice on the buffet breakfast with plenty of options. Would recommend.
Staying with my passengers at a very clean and well run establishment. Where cars are parked both sides of the road it is a tight squeeze to get to and unload but the council is responsible for that bad planning.
Beautiful location, very pleasant staff but drinks rather expensive.
Perfect position on Cornwall's best surfing beach....imo
Lovely hotel modern rooms clean and tidy. Very friendly staff and they do a great breakfast.
Lovely view, quiet room and nice comfy bed. Plus smiley and helpful staff. What else you can ask.
Ezcellant hotel, well organised and friendly. Could have appreciated a walk-in shower as I am not very mobile
Fantastic family hotel, very clean and modern all around, amazing service, most of the rooms have a sea view. Right on arguably the best and most consistant surf break in the UK. We had a great two nights here there is a wide variety of local food. We also took advantage of the quiksilver surf school which was right next door. One word of caution is that the waves can get very big so check the surf forcast if you are a beginer surfer. Overall this is a welcoming family friendly hotel in a world class location, I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a great holiday at one of the worlds best surf spots.
Excellent hotel. We stayed there on a 'Turkey and Tinsel' break, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was great with plenty of choice.
The room had a super king size bed and was nicely decorated. Public areas too were nicely decorated and clean. There is also an indoor swimming pool although we didn't use it this time. We would definitely go back there.
Very nice place clean and tidy excellent service and view will definitely will be back
Location was 5 star but room was barely average. Didn't even have a working shower. But the view was the the only thing going for it.
It is perfect! It has a great view and the breakfast is good and not too expensive.
Friendly staff . Comfy rooms and the foods not bad either
We spend 2 days in this hotel and it was a wonderful time, unfortunately the weather was not as expected but our stay was very good.
We've managed to book a family room as we were travelling with a baby and the room was very spacious we could have the cot, pram and still have some space to play around but we had some concerns with the access as although there are options for wheelchair/pram they were not practical
The room service was good, not much variety but the quality was there.
I would definitely recommended and go back
I ve never been prior to the renovations so I have no before comparison, the space/interior was nice but why after renovations is there no/poor air conditioning? It made the experience less enjoyable having to wipe my sweat stache every few minutes. The only appropriately air conditioned space was the secret room .
Cheap swimming pool but they don't provide towels for separate charge
Great welcome, luxurious room, evening meal excellent quality
Very good hotel, like home clean. Excellent service and friendly staff.
Me and a few lads stayed at the hotel on a golfing trip last year. The shower was a disgrace and looked like it wasn't cleaned also the staff were rude. Never will I stay at this hotel chain again!
Great place to stay! The pool was a little crowded but after about 7 o'clock the crowds go back to their rooms and the pool is peaceful. They also have a jacuzzi which is very relaxing. The breakfast was very tasty; a wide range of different breakfast ideas were on offer such as : Pancakes, full English breakfasts, toast and a choice of spreads, cereal and more. The only problem i had was the scrambled eggs were a little overdone but other than that it was really great all round. They also offer different activities fot children to go to such as: build a bear work shops, movie nights etc. We only stayed for two nights but i will be coming back again and maybe stay for a little longer next time. 4/5 stars from me!
Very nice Hotel with stunning sea views from the restaurant.
Also on offer are some rooms that are dog friendly (for well behaved dogs)
Service is second to none and staff friendly and helpful.
Christmas party menu varied and to a good standard.Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Close to the popular surfing scene of Fistral beach the hotel is comfortable and clean if somewhat a little dated, however offers amazing views over looking the beach. Beds are very comfortable and with the sound of the waves, helps for a goodnight sleep. My only gripe is the hallways, where the floors are a little noisy other than this minor detail my stay was pleasent and would comeback here to stay again
Pool was far too cold and the sauna wouldnt go hot enough, was in there for 30mind and didn't shed a drop of sweat!
Really nice hotel right by the beach. My room was clean and comfortable, liked the additional kettle with teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Enjoyed my stay.
Great for if you are looking for a weekend of surfing or even just a relax as the pool is great
The room was in need of decorating, food was good but the service was poor, waiting staff standing about talking among them selves, I asked for orange juice three times and was ignored
I was visiting here...only for a drink, but thanks to some ignorant parking, by a Volvo S40 driver...I was completely unable to open my driver's door, by more than 6". I'm a disabled pensioner who needs full door access. I called reception and a lovely young woman came out to inspect the parking situation.
She was probably 24yo and she couldn't even get her leg inside the footwell...and she was a slim lady. She got in the passenger side and soon moved my car clear, for me to access it.
Wonderful service and a lovely advertisement for The Esplanade Hotel.
I'd also like to mention the young bar manager, who, like her colleague, was a breath of fresh air. Took time too talk and made me feel both welcome and special. Thank you, both.
Great experience at this hotel. It was my wife's birthday and they helped me get her a surprise and they made our stay really amazing.
