The WORST MISTAKE of my whole life!!! The job offers I received after graduation were a complete joke. NO ONE cares that I have my degree from ERAU, go to a less expensive college!!!. Now I'm drowning in student loan debt. I had to get a job (non aviation related) to pay the bills and I make good money but after paying 800 a month in loans I can barely scrap by! My advice: save your money and go somewhere affordable!

Reserved a flight instruction on a Wednesday evening, while on an airline unable to view my emails they sent me an email that they rescheduled my flight to 09:00 the next morning, I got to my hotel at 1 AM and in the morning at 8:30 when I woke up I saw the email, I emailed them, texted and left a message about it, when they finally contacted me they wouldn't give a refund and the man I spoke to barely cooperated. I called someone who was higher up and they could only book me for the next Monday. Obviously the flight instruction is run by recent grads who don't know what they're doing. Hopefully the Daytona Beach campus knows what they're doing better than this location. Not a happy camper here

ERAU is a great University for Aerospace Engineering. The faculty is amazing and the curriculum is up there with top universities in the US (undergraduate level). The program allows students to choose between aeronautical and astronautical tracks, both of which are unique and very in depth. This coupled with the minors and research opportunities offered in other departments (Physics & Astronomy, Mathematics, etc.) allow students to attain a high quality well-rounded education.

Bookstore has every thing you need (i.e., FAA publications, log books, headsets, etc.) and you don't have to be a student to shop there.

The review posted by Rodger Ramjet is not an accurate representation of all Riddle students, rather a noisy few that he got mixed up with.
Sorry Mr. Ramjet, but you can't generalize all students at Riddle by an experience you had by renting to a few of them and not maintaining a good discipline of your home. I'm sure AZ laws enable you to evict anyone that hasn't agreed to the lease terms, assuming you put THAT in the terms. It's your responsibility to maintain your rented home, not to demean Embry-Riddle students to the whole world.
Additionally, the review space is for reviewing the UNIVERSITY.
So,
Embry-Riddle is a fantastic University, in my experience, for engineering students primarily. I say this because I have NO experience with the other majors. The engineering department has many useful labs including a supersonic wind tunnel. They have a full machine shop with expert machinist to help with the manufacture of student projects. It seems to me that nearly every professor in each college is fully committed to the success of his or her students, rather than the stories I hear about professors being primarily interested in the success of their career and research. Also, Riddle is a fantastic school for former military personnel. Many faculty, including the Vice President (2012) are former military and help out student veterans as much as they possibly can.

For students who want to be in small classes, focus on their major right away, and get hands on experience, this is a great school. There are lots of aviation related clubs, but not the usual college party scene.

Waste of time and money. The flight program is ridiculously slow and just as expensive. I went in with my private expecting to get my instrument rating in around 6-7 months (which is still longer than I was initially expecting it to take), in this time period I couldn t get through the instrument course. Either I wouldn t be getting scheduled or there were a lack of resources which is ridiculous for the Harvard of the sky .

Small school with a total of around 2000 students. Pretty expensive but definitely worth it if you are interested in some of its unique majors.
Great R.O.T.C. programs.
Nice campus constantly being upgraded.

A modern, technically-advanced campus ideal for studying engineering or anything related to aviation. Embry-Riddle is widely recognized in the aerospace and defense field, and I'm proud to call myself an alumnus. The one downside is that this campus is in a somewhat remote location.

I call bullshit on Roger's review. So he had a bad experience with some renters. That's his issue. You're renting to college kids, so, obviously, do your due diligence, but there are over a thousand other students on campus who are very focused on school and military studies and will be just as high in quality as any Yavapai College student or "working" adult (aka, fast food attendant or drug dealer) of the same age. I paid my rent on time, every time, and I would say that over my four years there, I saw maybe two houses that were legitimately mistreated.
And the police department hates ERAU students, because a fair amount of them are ERAU washouts or have a chip on their shoulder against the kids going to the private university on the outskirts of town.
95% of students at ERAU are nice, respectful and will be as satisfactory as any other tenant you will find.

ERAU is a fantastic school with excellent teachers and staff. The academic prowess of the teaching staff if second to none.
Add in the bonus of living in one of the prettiest areas of Arizona, if not the country, and how can you go wrong.

Dealing with certain administrations in this school is a joke. They dont talk to each other and everytime you deal with a different person they give different instructions. They are not consistent when dealing with students. Also housing on campus is a complete joke and a giant mistake. This school only cares about the money they make, they dont care if you are knee deep in student loans.

Graduated in 2011 and attending ERAU was one of the best decisions of my life! I would have drowned in the masses of a state school and ERAU's size gave me the attention and personal guidance I needed in order to meet my career goals. I was hired immediately upon graduating and have had a great career in the Aerospace field ever since! Yes, it is expensive so I applied for every scholarship available, worked 3 jobs, and graduated with a very manageable amount of debt. My husband got a full ride through Army ROTC so the opportunities are available to those who work hard and want it!

I will come right out and say that if Riddle is Right for you, then it will be some of the greatest,(and still toughest) years of your life. However, if you like to party, and or are not serious about your education, you will not last long. It takes a serious amount of dedication and drive to make it through, but the professors are all devoted to helping you meet the rigorous challenge. But the reward afterward is the greatest thing of all.

I don't know how good is this university but It has its prestigious and popularity. So I applied for this school. I will be starting in the spring of 2014. I'm from Saudi Arabia. This :) school what I know. Because I haven't studied there yet. But I will enroll in this university
