Don't count on this company to pay their claims. I filed a death claim on two policies in mid April, was told the claim was in order and would be paid in 30 days. When I called after 45 days, they said the checks were mailed, but they entered the incorrect address. The claim rep said they would reissue the checks and send them out FedEx. 3-5 business days. 10 days later, claims indicated the checks had not been issued, promised to handle it the same day and confirm with phone and email. Naturally that did not happen. Understand that COVID has an effect on operations, but this kind of service to a grieving family is cruel.

They deserve a negative rating. No stars for this company even tho I had to choose at least one star for the review to post. Our elderly community pays in premiums for years for Long Term Care Insurance and the practice of Equitable is to prolong and delay payment of claims by requesting information over and over that has been sent to them multiple times. They even admit receiving it and tell you "we have everything" but then send more requests for the same information. I am advocating for a senior citizen living in the assisted living community where I am the Director of Operations. This kind of treatment of our elderly must stop. When I requested to speak to the President of the company or the VP... I'm told "they do not take calls". Really.... your secretary won't take a call for you and screen it to be sure it's necessary???? Really.... I guess sitting in your ivory tower makes you immune to the real complaints of the people you make your living off the backs of... the policyholders who have for years paid good money and can't seem to get a claim processed in a timely manner. Equitable and the shareholders and management should be ashamed of this kind of treatment. I deal with many insurance companies for long term care policies. This is the only one that I have experienced such trouble with. If you are searching for a long term care insurance company... do not choose Equitable.

Equitable is a great company to work with. Strong product portfolio, and I like never waiting on hold more than a couple minutes to talk to someone

We have Long Term Care Insurance through Equitable Life. DO NOT GET THIS FOR A LOVED ONE. They've denied several claims. Our last claim was for assisted living and they said we haven't been reimbursed since it's not processed - they received the claim and all required paperwork 5 weeks ago. Our elimination period ends this week, but they said it'll be another month before they even give an answer if the claim is "approved". Staff is rude. Supervisors never available, but you're welcome to leave a voicemail (and they never call you back). Oh, and got a letter they're increasing the rates 11% today.

Endless hold times, between 12 and 26th in queue every time I call. Automation would not accept 3rd option which states I am a customer and went round and round with same question. Have been trying to take care of issue for 48 hours. When I finally reached someone, I was transferred and had to wait an additional 20 minutes.

Recruiting for this company leaves a lot to be desired. If you re looking for a job, getting back to applicants isn t a priority. Nothing worse than waiting on a call that never comes. It speaks a lot about professionalism and respect, or lack there of.

I usually hate Mexican food but this is legit one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

I couldn't find the company based in Washington. Old life insurance policy from 1959. No one claims it

It's a very nice clean business-like place easy on the eyes professional but knowing whatever business you have there it will be done right and well done without having to worry from the employees of this company. Plus I swear the most beautiful woman in the world works there and brings the whole place to life!

Recently, I had an issue with getting reimbursed for a bill I had paid to a chiropractor. Alex from Equitable listened and went out of his way, in my mind, to resolve this sticky issue. It took some time, but he provided great customer service. While cost is always a factor, good customer service is important to me. This was excellent service. Thank you!
