I dislocated my shoulder after falling on the ice. I went to OYS casualty on a Sunday at about midday. The treatment I received was quick and very efficient - I was through reception, x-rayed, had the shoulder put into place, x-rayed again, saw a doctor and was out of there in less than 1.5 hours. Very pleased with the service (in English) and happy to publicly acknowledge the service and care given
11.11.2013 at 14-17 MONDAY. The burn has completely deteriorated, shredding help to the microstructure I can't get. For three hours the sleep was in vain for nothing. Usually the painkiller was given and the pain went away immediately, Now the chief doctor invented a cure for the patient and it worked.
Awesome service, so this time around Easter I was able to get treatment very quickly given the circumstances. Staff very upbeat!
RASISM, NATIONALISM, LIFE DANGER
seat on duty for 7 hours. The nurse has not called me or the doctor. After 7 hours a call came and the handset was thrown into the ear. I called back, answered the nurse and asked if I already left. I was all the time waiting for my name and I have not left anything. The nurse said that she cried my name in the lobby (I've seen it a nurse in the lobby, it served three customers in the lobby, but my name is not to say never). Why did it call 2 hours later and asked if I've already left? even though I sat for 7 hours in the lobby.
Time for a rude service. HENGENVAArright and royalty-free service !!
The sisters are very nice and everyone knows english, the senior doctor is competent and explains everything exactly. Sometimes I do not like the billing system, it is inaccurate and confusing. My card was also accepted after several attempts ... otherwise everything was OK, the food could be richer !!!
Thanks to Cuts, Power and Os 8a, the treatment was effective, gentle and of very high quality. Thanks for all t: Mikko Hakkarainen
Finland's worst "emergency call." 91-year-old grandmother was queued for 18 HOURS !!? A young man who came with a dispatch and an ambulance waited for a hard chair (no beds / sleeping accommodation provided) for 12 hours..Since the 'doctor' is in a hurry: those who were drunk got past the queue, even though they had no illnesses. They were just wanted out. the police. It's a useless place.
Never fun to go to hospital but really good care and professional treatment.
Basic going to a university hospital. The premises are old and a bit dingy. Waiting times are long. But especially the nurses very nice. Plus a library self-service cabinet.
High quality and good care, good memories of the hospital especially from the pediatric ward Os62.
OYS is a place I am familiar with in many ways. It is the largest university hospital in northern Finland, offering all kinds of medical services.
The main building houses the Emergency Clinic, adult research services and doctors' outpatient clinics, as well as various wards.
The pediatric outpatient clinic and the patient wards are located in a separate building (A5 and A6).
Behind the so-called Outpatient Hospital is currently the newest part of the hospital building, the so-called Outpatient Homes (door A8), which can be accessed from the B2 main door of the main building and following signs to the cellar R and further to the Outpatient Hospice.
The R-kiosk and the hospital's lunch restaurant are located at the entrance of the outpatient care center.
The INFO counter for advice is located in B2. There is also a good-quality and a florist shop in the same place.
The buses drive along Kajaanintie Road and turn right into the OYS hospital area, driving up the ramp across doors B1, B2 and B3. The buses continue their journey down the ramp and most of them pass the Kastell school / multipurpose complex in the shortest time.
My mother was undergoing surgery for a cancer of the pharynx on April 15, 15. A little confused sounded on the phone and the relatives were watching. I called ward 21 at 17.4 to ask about the condition, the nurse announced that he was home. Coming home with a jacket in the back seat, sleeping, legless, feverish 38.6 was the heat. No announcement of withdrawal was made. Mom couldn't speak or take care of herself. Immediately in the evening, she had to be sent to the ambulance. Then OAS continued to deteriorate and OYS was then diagnosed with pneumonia, which made him feel bad. No more stars coming to the hospital.
This has Hi-Tech equipment and patient caring methods, I have been to OYS as student. Their staff is very polite and helpful to patients. Hospital is well structured and systematic. One time I went with my friend who met an accident, they taken care of him well kept him in a hospital until they confirm there is no any internal damages. OYS has very fast ambulance system they respond to emergence situations very quickly. I got to know as student OYS is going to be well sophisticated hospital in 2030 according to their plan.
The place is so big that you get lost there. Fortunately, the employees who have been there so far have advised me on the right place.
Fantastic and very professional service
No hassle friendly staff
Very impressed
You can use the student meal voucher in restaurant Kotka.
Thanks to the professional day care department, the cutting room, the Awakening Room, ward 21, for the professional staff. Patient 27.8-30.8.19 Good care was taken of me and thanks also to Doctor Jukka Tikanto
My sister posted today 23.3. for brain imaging at OYS from Ylivieska Research Center. A patient's name was found in the patient inquiry and a call was made to a ward where he was not known. There is room for improvement!
A very big thank you to the nurses of the hearing center and especially to Chief Physician Jaakko Laitakar for his professional nursing work.
The big operation is behind me and I hope the surgery goes well.
You saved my hearing and at the same time substantially improved my quality of life with qualified and expert care,
A big thank you to everyone out there for the hearing center.
I got 24.5. in the abdominal center for expert treatment in colonoscopy and dealings with SNM nurses. The treatment was very friendly and things went smoothly. Seija Poropudas
The children's clinic provided a sector-worthy service. You would think the caregivers would be child friendly. It was about 200 km away and e.g. our ward room had been cleaned and emptied of our belongings without asking us while we were at the doctor's office and in the lab. For the rest of the time we had to be in the hallways with a tired 1 year old. The flow of information also does not pass from which the nurses shouted loudly, nor do they themselves know how to walk in a maze hospital. As we went, I imagined that we were now in skilled hands, but right from the morning that image crumbled so that the rest of the day made me feel disappointed and angry.
Doctors and nurses do in a hurry but still very good care and friendly service
Advanced hospital and very special staff helps patients and staff are great.
How I wished to continue working in an atmosphere of soundness and professionalism with advanced technology.
The hand went off so I had to have surgery on the children's side there was at least a ps4 and other entertainment + nice caregivers
Nurses are nice especially young women some doctors are a little unsympathetic but really good therapists and nurses a big plus
My husband Jaakko Karvonen has a neurostimulator for pain relief, who announced last Friday that the device no longer works. The control unit received the code EOS and a prompt to contact the hospital. I called Oys and told him what the code was like. I was told to come visit. Porhals's 230 km journey with a painful patient in the heat to Oulu. The doctor found out what kind of code came in and that means the device keeps new ones and the surgery goes into the fall. Again in the heat, the 78-year-old wife rushed home and the patient was very painful from the long sitting. It took about 2 minutes to see a doctor.
It wonders if this could not have been said to us on the phone, because there was nothing needed to check there, for example. Hopefully even that new time will come before autumn, it would even slightly replace this completely pointless trip.

This is where lives are saved, and often staff puts themselves on behalf of patients. Many times people forget, in the midst of their own distress and pain, how much each employee here gives.
University Hospital with 22 operating rooms. Wake up call to a professional and good service. Car parks really looking. Too many corridors. There would already be a need for renewal. A decent patient hotel is completely missing.
Terrible place !!!. Beware, there really is no knowing how to be treated. Absolutely sick activity. read my facebook page Abuse Victim
sophisticated and very clean hospital. staffs are really helpful.
I have played in the Oulu University Hospital's emergency department, leaving at 8 am and after 9 pm after the callback. It is now 13.20, there has been no ringing.
