Our favorite place to eat in Durango. We live in Farmington, and go to Durango to eat on a pretty regular basis. In a town full of good food, this is the best. I can't say enough good things about this place. Don't leave without trying one of their signature drinks as well. Amazing!

Food here was wonderful. Everything was prepared as requested/expected. Vegetables tasted fresh, meats/fish were flavorful with light tasty sauces. We enjoyed the beet salad, prime rib two ways, surf and turf, salmon, and grilled beef filet. Wait staff was professional. It is more expensive, but they live up to their rep

I have NEVER had a sub-par experience here...We choose Eolus quite frequently when we do eat out, because it is delicious, and the service is always top notch. Love the patio in the summer time! Chris and James are simply the best!

The best fine dining in Durango, and their happy hour is unbeatable. The consistency of food quality and service is truly impressive. We are especially fond of the Caesar salad, calamari, capellini seafood stew, and the happy hour patio burger with truffle fries. The Thai Tini and house wines are excellent as well. We bring all our out of town guests here.

IDEAL PLACE FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION.
Eolus recently hosted my wedding reception and it was perfect! They have a private room on the second floor with wonderful lighting and beautiful views of Durango & the surrounding mountains.
The staff was professional, courteous and willing to work with our budget and time frame. Everyone at my wedding commented on how amazing the food and drinks were and how attentive the staff was.

I looked for reasons to rate this restaurant more than 1 star- but just couldn t. Extremely expensive, slow service. Very small portions and they don t ask if you want a salad and thy don t bring bread. I got tHe swordfish and think it might have been good if it was more than luke warm. Also- it was very awkward when we walked in and waited- then the hostess asked us what can we do for you?
Great menu and great food. Waiter very helpful to arrange dairy free options. Nice atmosphere. Got to come back to try the dessert menu.

On Valentine s Day we decided to go to Eolus (we ve been before for dinner and happy hour so we knew it would be a good experience). The 5 course Pre-Fix was too tempting to pass up and we thoroughly enjoyed it (even the oyster amuse bouche, and I m not usually much of an oyster fan). Hubby ordered the surf n turf and the steak was incredibly tender and flavorful. I had the salmon served over the coconut jasmine rice, which was wonderful. We were too full to eat the dessert, so we brought it home. Service was stellar, ambiance was great and food was amazing. Thanks for a great night to all the staff here!
This is my favorite restaurant in Durango. If I want to have a fancy dinner I opt to go here. The service is always great and the food is delicious. It can be very expensive and some of the portions are small. However they do have some great happy hour specials that go fast, so it s good to call ahead before coming in.
The scallops appetizer was fantastic and the surf and turf and hanger steak were the best steaks we have had. The service is great and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Two thumbs up.
Over priced and just ok. I kind of wish I didn't bother and just kept the money. The calamari was good but the sauce was reminiscent of a chain like Bonefish. It came dressed and on lettuce so pieces were soggy. The warm beet salad was standard but could have used a tad more goat cheese and citrus that wasn't super cold. The chicken was moist and crispy skin. The sides were sad. The mac n cheese was really salty, slightly chewy, and the bok choy was fresh steamed but made the plate watery like it had not been drained. The dead flower on the table just topped off my theory that some kinks need to be worked out. Service was great and interior cozy. I really wanted it to be worth it but alas it was not.

Not sure what some of those critics were thinking. My fiance and I dined here on a recommendation from a friend and loved every minute of it. We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere was really nice, the wait staff was attentive and well mannered, and the food.... Was to die for!!
We had the pork chop and prime rib, and OMG they were both some of the best meals we've had. Ended the night with a lavender creme brulee, which did not disappoint. Overall incredibly satisfied with the experience and will definitely be back.
Tip for haters: Maybe set up a reservation in advance to guarantee shorter wait times.

A top-3 Durango restaurant, with a unique menu featuring creative excellent and local food. The salads are amazing- try the one with smoked salmon! Expensive. Families are welcome (even mine), but it s definitely more of a classy adult venue. Several excellent cocktails are on the menu.

Excellent service, food, and ambience! Had a Birthday Party of 6 adults and 1 child. Celebrated on the rooftop and enjoyed the sunset views. Our server, Matthew was funny, professional, and attentive. Fantastic place to dine!
