Nice staff and clean venue but in a bad area. The clientelle can be a bit stuck up and the people outside can spoil the experience

Great large venue for live shows and specialist gigs as well as a cinema
Went to see Nick Hayward good venue excellent venue
The grandaughter played a part in a show there and the theatre was great
Arc is such a fab venue and cafe bar...Perfect for hosting XTRAX seminars and SIRF artists . I love visiting here
Amazing sound quality for a smallish venue. Great selection of beers at the bar and friendly staff. Lot's of events running throughout the year.
Really lovely place. Always has something different on from a comedian to a tribute act.
Is the best place to be . I go for choir every Friday at the arc (united voice women choir) . And I often sit down for Tea or coffee at the ground floor level of the building after singing .All the workers are fab and it is always very neat and peaceful there .
Three of us went but they would only let us in two by two.
I thank you.
This is a great arts centre with good amenities & an excellent & reasonably priced eatery. There is an interesting programme of films, theatre, comedy & music. There is also a variety of educational experiences to take part in. Every town should have an ARC.
We took our unsuspecting pal, an ex-British Antarctic Survey veteran and penguin obsessive, to see The Man Who Wanted to be a Penguin as a Christmas wheeze on Saturday afternoon and came away entranced, amused and impressed by the versatility, ingenuity, energy and sheer professionalism of the Stuff n Nonsense and the ARC teams. The superficially simple, yet technically ingenious, set and props are used to superb comic and emotional effect by the two actors, Emma Longthorne and Nigel Luck, in a riotous, rollicking romp from a suburban back garden to a penguin colony in the ice and snow of the Antarctic! The audience of kids from 3+ to....er...70+ were cheering, jeering, laughing and crying (well, perhaps not crying!) throughout this highly physical show - and, for those of an intellectual bent, there is a language lesson from a Professor of Penguinese! What more could you ask for on a dark and dismal Saturday afternoon! The two actors - yes, only two of em play a myriad of parts, do a brilliant job in suspending our disbelief and transporting us to the frozen wastes of the Antarctic! I m just thawing out!
In short: go and see this super production before it takes off south again! Only six more performances before Christmas! Don t miss it!
It s great fun!
PS for teachers (and parents): there is a superb teaching pack on line, courtesy of Stuff n Nonsense, covering the various social and moral themes encountered in the show.
Spent a great night listening to a talk on The Beatle's Abbey Road. Really informative and entertaining.
Staff there pleasant and helpful.
Excellent social distancing in place and friendly staff
Great night very rewarding night 4 some and all customers
Unbeatable selection of fine artistic presentations, movies, live performances and other cultural events accompanied by a great small restaurant serving varied good value for money hot and cold foods.
Great venue for cinema and theatre shows has a variety of different things to watch for all ages
Wonderful theatre and relaxation spaces with bar and cafe with food. Excellent and varied productions with cinema as well
It has several rooms bathrooms is always clean and airy
One of the drinks was forgotten so sat till after the food came, only to get it when I reminded the staff , to which he gave no apology and was rather frosty. There was no follow up to see how the food was , thankfully it was nice just such a shame there was zero customer service because it could be great ,
Stockton is now The home of live music. And the arc is a great venue. Roll on stockton calling 2018
Good entertainment. Nice coffee shop with friendly staff.
The production of Annie that I went to see with my family was incredible, couldn't fault the production at all. The staff are lovely but it took us twenty minutes to get served in a queue of four or five people.
Fantastic venue, it was my first visit hopefully it wont be my last.
Great night out but there should have been more bar staff on they were very stretched, they still managed to be courteous though
Unpleasant unhelpful staff. It seemed like they were awaiting a multiple brainectomy and unfortunately were hooked up to the last living supply of blancmange capable of generating an IQ measurement that would barely register on the Darwin scale as 'Gelatinous fish based dessert'.
I've worked & visited ARC & love it. Such a hot bed of creativity & community. Stockton is a friendly place so artistic visitors will feel at home. It's especially known for promoting inclusion & is totally accessible for both Disabled visitors & creatives. Got a great cafe too if you need a pit stop.
Went to see Oh No George with my grandson. Place is fine with good facilities, snack bar and drinks. Theatre is fine and the show was perfectly pitched for infant age children.
Fantastic venue, lovely staff & crowds for smashing gigs.
Took my daughter to see Amelia Coburn concert. Really great act, and great facilities
Attending again the Monthly Parkinson Cafe was great as Staff were courteous and understanding of Members of the Group and being able attend meeting in a central location for many is a bonus....
Good selection of drinks at decent prices I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Love the ARC. Nice venue, staff are super helpful and food & drink are pretty good too
Only 4 stars as they didn't open the top bar and made everyone walk down stairs for drinks
For a small theatre it has everything - except sufficient women's toilets. It is a modern space with a decent bar. Cafe seating perfectly good while waiting for show to start. Front of the building is a curved glass wall. Theatre seats comfortable for average-sized person. Great view of stage!
Attended the beer festival Feb 23 as I do every year and I'm never disappointed in the level of service. Always friendly and professional in every area.
Had a pretty show meal and although there were a few hiccups getting the correct food it was lovely when we eventually got there , Matty our server was absolutely brilliant and dealt with it all in the perfect manner hes deffinatly an asset to the team all in all a great night not spoilt one bit by a little wait
Wide variety of activities. Some great shows and helpful staff
They do a good range of events here. Been twice this year and they've forgotten to open the upper doors for access to the theatre on both occasions. One time we booked it did not mention online that it was restricted view but the tickets when collected said it was. It turned out to be a terrible view. Thankfully there were spare seats elsewhere. They are child friendly and its a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of toilets on each floor.
A really good venue with a range of entertainment. A nice venue to visit! Always look forward to going.
A very nice venue that was sadly quiet. Friendly staff, clean facilities and a small but accessible theatre. The show, by Tutti Frutti, was excellent and really showed the young audience what you can do with some instruments, dance and imagination. Parking in Stockton is straightforward, Wellington Square and Castlegate shopping centres are both close by.
Varied arts and events centre, strong on local community
A brilliant venue. We saw Jason Manford here. It's the perfect size in that there are plenty of seats but it's arranged in a way that you're not far from the stage. A great place and one that I'll definitely recommend
Wonderful venue small and intimate to watch a band. Nice bar area.
The venue is fine, and the food was fine too. The concert I went to see was great (Show of Hands and Richard Shindell), but I didn't give 5 stars because, as a tall bloke, the seating was very tight and legroom was non-existent.
Can't understand why one bar closes and queue the other bar is eight deep! Never got a drink for second half of show.
Went to cinema to watch "CURRENT WARS" not many in room and the seats smelt of wee. Not plesent.
I went with family to see Annie. It was rather disappointing the younger children didn't get much of an appearance and they were the best part of the production.
To many people coming in late they should be made to wait till the interval also seating quite confusing, people getting quite irate because people were in their seats.place itself is modern clean and quite nice but not overly impressed
Ckean and tidy, friendly staff and good a show was had by all. The major xown side is the area it's located in, rundown and crime hotspot .
Great, local, clean venue, sadly, the booking system is amazingly bad, in the past month I've missed out completely on some tickets for one event because of it, then on a second occasion I turned up for the event and wanted to collect my tickets on the door.... This took an hour.
I would highly recommend the food here. It was really good.
I have been to a couple of shows at this venue. Nothing over the top or plush. Simple small sized venues with a fairly good selection of events and shows to see
Perfect size facility for Stockton with good bar.and various other galleries and performance spaces.
Went for a formal event in the theatre hall. Plenty going on generally in the building. Has it's own bar so great for just socialising.
Great comedy club. Live national theatre, the latest movies. Decent bar cafe. Lots of activities a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.
Good venue, interesting acts and events. Great community atmosphere.
Brilliant venue and brilliant show watching comedian Karl Hutchinson
Great variety of shows to suit everyone bar and food are also good.
Booked our seats the day before seeing Ralph McTell. We had a great time.
