Do not choose this company!! Read about people s experiences and have conversations before choosing who is good in your area. We have been working on our installation for 10 months! The trench is still muddy and now needs to be filled 2 months after the array was up and we still don t hear anything or have solar power. And payments have to be made now.
This has been the worst experience trying to get my solar panels up and running. My sales rep was wonderful, and shared a very well put together presentation, which ultimately swayed my decision to get solar panels. After signing the papers, everything fell apart. I was told my installation would take a day, two at most. It took a month to complete the installation. Initially the construction crew was very professional and efficient. Then, the electrician doesn't show up. I have to schedule another time to complete the install. There were several no shows after that, or tardiness (and I mean HOURS, not just a few minutes) for the electrician(s). Then the construction crew doesn't show up until several days later, without my knowledge or permission. When I contacted customer service, they were basically like "Thanks for letting us know, but it's installed now." So, I guess, me missing work and dealing with this nonsense for a month didn't even rate an apology. After relating this ugly experience to them, I tried to order a second, smart thermostat, and they wanted to charge me more than $30 over retail price for it. Do not get solar panels from this company! The biggest lack of professional I have ever seen.
Good installation team and quick customer service. After several months there was a minor issue with one of the panels and after finding the problem it was corrected in a quick and professional manner.
This is an incredible company to work with that really cares about its customers and delivering high levels of customer service. Casey Helsel is a truly remarkable leader, mentor, and manager and does a great job motivating and teaching a sales team. I have seen him help multiple employees, myself included, grow under his leadership, and go above and beyond the call of duty for customers.
Updated 7/29/21: The sales people were wonderful. Professional, knowledgeable and prepared. However, after that initial sales call things started to fall apart slowly and I should have paused and reconsidered then and there. But I didn't. Made excuses for the disorganization and lack of communication and trudged on. It took FIVE months for my solar panels to get connected. Needless to say that the major failure of this company is communication. I was always the one having to reach out to inquire about status updates, in one instance discovering that the connectivity request hadn't even been submitted by Encor until I contacted them over 1 month after my install to find out why I hadn't been contacted regarding the county or energy company inspection. When the first inspection did finally happen, it was a disaster. The county inspector told me that he didn't have the materials needed (which I later found out wasn't true) and my house failed inspection because of a few minor issues. Of course, I didn't learn any of this information until I submitted a complaint to the BBB. Even though I asked to be copied on all communications regarding the county inspection, I was never notified regarding the failed inspection, or issues that required correction before connection could proceed. The electrician came through with the inspector the second time, but again, didn't tell me why he was there or what was being done. And...again, I had to follow-up after the inspection for a status update. Save yourself the hassle and go with another company. I don't regret my solar panels, but I know that it didn't have to be an entirely miserable experience.
The people that encore solar were awesome. Very professional very helpful with any questions that I had or any situations that I need fix they were there to help.
Enc r was having an amazing deal to get us solar panels so we decided the go for it, but with some hesitancy about the whole thing.
But after working with them these last several months I can say that the people working at Solar have made the process easy and stress-free. They ll take care of everything for you and make sure you re getting a high quality system AND saving money.

Choosing to go with Encore over their competitors was the best choice that we could ve made. From the first encounter with the door to door salesman was painless and enjoyable! Cameron was our direct contact with the company and let me tell you he was the man! Not only was he knowledgeable but was very friendly, it was very obvious that he cared more about our happiness and comfortability with the process than trying to up sell. Shout out to the whole team, I highly recommend!
