Excellent for cheap furniture, often with a bit of character. I kitted out an unfurnished flat using emmaus. Upstairs they sell tableware and linen, cushions, and other household wares, also good when starting out.
Would love to go in this shop, but none of the staff wear masks. One of the staff was standing in front of the door shouting with the security guy, mask around his chin. I motioned to him to put it on so I could come in, he made a face at me. Won t shop somewhere that has that much disrespect for their customers.
Made me pay for house clearance after my dad died even though they would sell items on. And workmen intensely rude made me very upset during an already traumatic time, made me pay full quoted price even though they did not complete quoted hours, and I was told on the phone by management that if job did not take full time I would only have to pay for hours worked. Was told on the day of the clearance that if I did not pay full price they would unload all items and leave them on the side of the road. Not at all what I expect from a charity. Horrendous

Great charity shop and organisation with very friendly staff.
Great shop the only problem I have is the rudeness of the men they have standing at the door offering hand sanitizer, who frightened the living daylights out of my vulnerable client when she refused the hand sanitizer, ( she Had her own) he stood in front of her about an inch from her face and said she cannot enter.
I understand these guys that work here are also vulnerable, but please practice kindness rather than aggression when there is absolutely no need for it.
Excellent charity shop. There are 3 different Emmaus stores in Lambeth (all in the same are on both sides of Knights Hill), specialising in furniture, electrical and other. They are a great resource if you need to replace anything around the home at short notice and their furniture tends to be better quality.
