Elmira IGA Review

Low dollar grocery with low dollar quality. It has convenience going for it as it is closer but it's no Wegmans.

I feel that Weis has a very nice selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. They also have a good selection of quality meats. Prices are very reasonable. Store is always clean and generally well staffed.

It's a nice little grocery store with a gas station. But I think they could clean a little bit better than what they normally have cleaned.

Great deals and good selection, but customer solutions is slow...one person not sufficient

The cashier that checked out my groceries was wonderful. Very pleasant and helpful. I believe her name was Liz. Store was very clean tidy and we'll stocked.

Only place in turn selling Waffle Crisp cereal. Plus the bakery is amazing.

Wish the pharmacy had more help. They go through alot to try and serve the best they can. I love weis pharmacy and the 2 people who try to keep people satisfied. Thankyou!

For name brand items, this place is okay. There doesn't appear to be a price advantage over similar places. Generics can be a gamble. Some good and some downright awful. This is personal taste, but their generic cola is probably the worst I've ever had. Lots of brands that I've only seen there, and those too are a gamble. Good enough when you don't want to drive to Walmart or Wegmans. When in doubt, go with a name brand unless it's something you've tried or don't mind taking a gamble on.

I like going here because I'm a busy person and sometimes I pick up something quick for dinner. The bar is good and the cinnamon buns are yummy

I love their cinnamon muffins, great variety of hot food to go and salad bar. Prices are decent, and I'm not on snap

Really good sales going on today today you could get with your Weis card $0.49 for green beans you buy 10 you get for that price or corn whichever one they also had 10 for a dollar for Campbell's cream of mushroom soup they had really good deals today

Something humble about Weis, compared to the other supermarkets. I find their Latino food selection is good/ affordable, and you can find good deals on cereal and meats sometimes. Wish they sold Malta India, like in other cities...
12/19 Update: The Grocery Gods have spoken and they said, "Let there be Malta (India)!" Not sure if it's my good luck, or someone's listening, but I'd encourage all Boriquas out there to show their love and buy a 6-pack...

clean. yet pricey.. also could use some maintenance around the store.. like with the frozen section you have to actually open most doors to see whats inside because the lights don't work ..

First time there. After registering on line and getting a Weis card, I checked out some of the deals available. Pretty good Stouffers 96 oz Lasagna for only $0.99!!! Great deal!!! Found a few other deals for OnCor frozen entrees for only $2.50!!! It looks like they will have some very good weekly deals and I hope to become more familiar with what the store has to offer!!!

Childhood grocery store, good prices with nostalgia lol

I wish they would have some green in the parking lot. It just seems so unnatural and even on warm days it's just HOT, walking over all that black asphalt seems like a man-made desert.

Break up some of those spaces. More trees, please!

I like Weis Market. The have the best store brand Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream. Made with Red Maraschino type cherries. Prices are alittle cheaper then Tops. A lot cheaper then Wegmans. And unlike Aldi's(which I also like) Weis has the selection of a grocery store, while Aldi's is lacking that. So I totally recommend shopping there. They also have a Pharmacy in store.

A classic American grocery store that is likely to have what you need on a day to day basis. The sales are usually decent (walnuts, anybody?) and the staff is very helpful.

Disgusting store. Drunks and druggies hanging out in the store and lurking outside of the store. Prices are too high

Bathroom is sometimes clean and doesn't have soap available to wash hands some of the time. But prices are affordable and staff is very friendly.

The way they set up the store doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm just used to Wegmans, but the set up should be changed. The cleaning supply aisle is in between the frozen foods and candy aisle or something weird like that. Also, their produce consistently disappoints. I really feel like I waste 5-10 minutes extra here just trying to locate some standard things like bread.

Their prices are low compared to other places. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I can alway find what I need..and the workers are very helpful..and they have reasonable prices on their food items..

Had to return cans,get a money order and pick up a few things.... in & out!! Love it!

Its expensive. The customer service center is unprofessional and very slow.

Convenient, fair pricing and congenial staff. They have a wide selection of name brand items.

Always great deals on meats and inexpensive meal ideas.Like million dollar spaghetti pie! I'm a gold member and coupons sent out are always useful since are items I normally purchase

They use to have prices lower than Wegmans but not the case, Tropicana OJ 60 cents cheaper, Fire burning logs 5.00 cheaper. One manager was courteous to match the price of the OJ but another man tonight stated I had to prove it. I asked if he would call them because it was there everyday price he said no. They also make you feel very uncomfortable trying to rush you out if you walk in there prior to closing.

Not the best grocery store in Elmira but not the worst.

The suckiest of all Weis markets. Filthy. Always out of things. Poor ice cream selection. Wont order something for you.

I've lived in the same house for 14 years. Weis is right around the corner and always has what I need.

It's clean and conveniently located. Across the street from my drugstore so I can do all my shopping and pick up my meds in one block.

Its a nice place to shop but they do need more ride on carts for the handicapped
