Ellis Parking Company Review

What an absolute joke of an experience again. About nine months ago I decided to trust Alice to park my vehicle about an hour into my dinner I was notified that they crashed my truck which ended up in approximately $15,000 worth of damage. Decided to trust them again let them park my company vehicle at our Christmas party last night and we decided to get a hotel room with some friends the valet attendant said just press the help button and they will open the gate for you in the morning. Go to pick up my car in the morning and sure enough I get greeted with a condescending terrible customer service representative she said that there was nothing she could do to help me. Had to purchase a lost ticket even though I had my valet stub with me for $32.

The lot was super convenient.
I don't remember what I paid but I parked for about 6 hours and was very pleased with what I paid.

SCAM ALERT. Grand rapids 55 Ottawa location is an automated lot with clear signage stating 2.50 per hour. After 3 hours it was max price of $15 to get out of lot. This was during a Griffin's game. I recommend the $5 prepay cash lots near by unless you like feeling scammed.

Aaron does a great job getting this set for our annual gala. The valet crew is great with guests, prompt in getting vehicles and courteous with the guests.

Very poor customer service and terrible pricing policy. I parked for 4 hours, in the midtown parking ramp near Lyon and Monroe, while volunteering at a charity event. When I left I was billed $20. Their daily Max rate is $22 per their director of operations. In any industry this is disproportionate price gouging. I could see saying 8 hours was a day. Then my parking should have cost $11. Not $20. I'll be contacting the City Clerks office, the new city manager, and the Better Business Bureau. After contacting Ellis, I was told I should have read their sign better and that the city endorsed them in this policy. The city better do something fast because pretty soon there will be petitions and protests. These people are the worst and are abusing their interactions with residents and visitors in the city of Grand Rapids. Our city should be ashamed to do business with these thieves.

A car before me must have got their ticket stuck in the machine. I pulled it out and put mine in there and it did not register it and it was lost in the machine. I pressed the talk for help button probably 20 times and nothing happened. I was forced to press lost ticket and I had to pay $10 for using their ramp for less than 10 minutes.

45 minutes waiting for car two weeks ago. I have waited 30 minutes so far today! Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilio will validate parking tickets so park your own car

We used Ellis to handle valet parking for an event at The Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation and they did an incredible job considering our limited parking. Aaron Vitali communicated well with us and helped walk us through the permit process with the city (quite the hassle)! The price was more than reasonable and the valet team was quick and respectful. All our guests were grateful! Thank you!!

I have worked with Aaron at Ellis parking for a number of events in the past year to help provide valet parking at a venue. He is super helpful, quick to respond and the valets are always really sweet and polite. We have been so happy with them and will continue to use them moving forward.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service. I went to leave a parking lot and I only had cash. The machine I went to had a red light because appearantly something was wrong with the machine and it quit accepting it. I didn't have a debit card and there was at least ten cars behind me so I pushed the help button. The women that answered was so rude and completely unapologetic! She said well your going to have to go to other one. What am I suppose to do, get out and back up all the cars behind me!! Never once did I get an apology and she was honestly the rudest person I have ever dealt with when it came to the fact that it was the company's own fault for having the Machine being down. Completely uncalled for and ridiculous!

Eff you Ellis and your $19 parking for 8 hrs! Ridiculous for such a small city... I'm sure there are many people out there who cannot afford that. Get it together!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Machine wasn't accepting my ticket - got hung up on THREE times trying to get assistance. Incredibly rude. I've had better customer service experiences with the DMV!

I witnessed Aaron Vitali screaming at valets working at a event in the freezing cold because they had hats and hoods on . He then got into his heated SUV and drove off. I've witnessed Aaron Vitali dress down ellis employees several times at various events I've attended. I would never allow my kids to be spoken to in that manner and I can't understand why a business like ellis parking would allow someone to represent the company when that's how they carry and conduct themself .

I have worked with Ellis Parking on many corporate events. Their rates are great and valet service is always prompt, courteous and professional.

My company offered valet parking for a company party, when I got my truck back they had clearly hit something with it. So I call them, get a quote for the damage 1,200 dollars.... I then send them that quote as they had asked, and have heard nothing since. I have called several times got to there secretary, but some how the people I needed to talk to are always "out". If this isnt a shady company I dont know what is.

I was charged $32 to park there for a little over 12 hours. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

The WORST costumer service I have ever dealt with. We will NEVER waste our money with Ellis Parking. We came for my bachelorette party and we clarified multiple times because we had a suit with 3 drivers that we each could park our car for free. We called ahead to ask, asked the desk, and asked AGAiN before leaving. The lady that we spoke with was rude right off the back. The supervisor was also completely rude. I have never dealt with that kind of disrespect off of a parking ramp. They insisted we paid and 64 dollars later for ONE night. Who would pay that to park a car. What a joke.

In the lot across feom Bistro Bella Vito. Trying to exit after Jim Gaffagin show and sitting in car at standstill for 45 minutes. This is THE worst exit plan. NEVER park here for an event downtown GR.

Always parking available when I ve went down there. Even during ArtPrize.

Read all the small print. Was charged $44 to park for 17 hours. In big bold it said "Daily Max $22". In small print below it says you get charged an extra day starting at 4am. Contacted them and they were not apologetic and pointed out that the sign does say that. Not honest advertising in my opinion and way too expensive for a small city. Will not stay at any of their lots again.

Did a quick run into the courthouse and the exit ramp is broken - it s taking the assistant 10 min to get a car through and the line isn t promising. I spent 30 min in the lot and parked to walk where I needed and will likely be forced to pay for the extra time in the lot.
I will not park there again.
