Very poor customer service and terrible pricing policy. I parked for 4 hours, in the midtown parking ramp near Lyon and Monroe, while volunteering at a charity event. When I left I was billed $20. Their daily Max rate is $22 per their director of operations. In any industry this is disproportionate price gouging. I could see saying 8 hours was a day. Then my parking should have cost $11. Not $20. I'll be contacting the City Clerks office, the new city manager, and the Better Business Bureau. After contacting Ellis, I was told I should have read their sign better and that the city endorsed them in this policy. The city better do something fast because pretty soon there will be petitions and protests. These people are the worst and are abusing their interactions with residents and visitors in the city of Grand Rapids. Our city should be ashamed to do business with these thieves.
