Came here with my family and had a great time. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I had the chicken pasta and asked for it to be spicy. It was made perfectly with the right amount of spice.
Everyone got exactly what they wanted and was completely satisfied. Will definitely come back!

Sorry, just not good quality. I can only write in regards to my own experience. So the menu online is not the menu they have in the restaurant & the in restaurant menu has items that they don't serve any more. The seating inside is round tables so kinda impossible to have family together. We sat outside which was nice but then rain came through a bit. I ordered Beef Bourguignon (second choice, because they did not serve first choice anymore) paid a lot $ for this item and when it came I was so sad. It looked like wet dog food from a can. There was literally 2 very small chunks of beef and the rest was mushy something... not sure, but not even close to Beef Bourguignon. The service was good though and my kids liked their food, they had steak bites, mash and fettuccine.
Fiid and drinks are so good. Try a Tree Smacker. You're going to love it but the name says it all

I don t like to make a review after only one visit. To make this short and sweet, it s a large place with great service and decent food. Looks good for parties and after-hour drinks. Ask for Soraya - she s awesome and really funny
The desk clerk at our hotel recommended Elli's and she was right. The food is very good and was served promptly. The dessert selection is original and quite good as well. The beer selection was good too but the wine selection was a bit lacking in my opinion. The price is good for what you're getting and overall a good experience.
I ordered online to pick up. Good Reuben. Better buffalo wings. The order took about 15 minutes longer than predicted when I placed it, so not five stars.
The host greeted me right away and was pleasant as always. Today, I ordered to-go which might have something to do with the presentation of the plate once it arrived to my destination. Not bad but a little sloppy. I would definitely go back again and give it another try.

American food and the atmosphere at this place is great. A preferred evening place. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Atlanta.
This is one of our favorite places. We enjoy the care the waitresses provide and the food WAS always great. We bring all our relatives to Elli's or a lala grill that visit us from outside of California. Unfortunately today was the last time we will EVER be going to any of these restaurants. First, my pregnant wife's hot turkey croissant sandwich tasted spoiled. Can you imagine what could have happened if she ate that garbage? Then they allowed her to order something else. She reluctantly chose a waffle breakfast. As soon as she was going to eat... She saw a hair in her eggs sitting right on top! Never again! Their waitress care are always the best.
What can I say about this locals favorite. I know that personally it is one of my go to restaurants. Ellis can be pretty busy at times, but it's well worth the wait. The food is very creative and portions are good. I mean you can get a steak or some seafood, you can get a cubano sandwich or a hearty salad, and if you saved room you gotta try one of their desserts!! As an added bonus to Ellis the have a bar (la la loung) attached to the restaurant. If your in Salinas, I highly recommend Ellis.

Coffee cold on first pour, Steak and eggs cold from sitting before serving. Waitstaff slow, so someone in kitchen ran breakfast out. Food quality mediocre. Going back to Black Bear for hot breakfasts and coffee. I didn't complain, but want to tell the truth for other potential patrons. Waiter finally hovered and walked us to register during tip time.
Good food waiters and staff. They tend to be on it and deliver the food in a good amount of time. Dishes are large and filling. However some dishes tend to be a tad overpriced.

Lots of selection, almost too much lol. We came for lunch and the shrimp tacos were delicious, seasoned perfect. I would definitely come back and try breakfast too next time i am in the area.

It's okay here. Food is average, service is good, but employees are clearly hostile to the poorer portion of the population passing regularly outside the windows minding their own business, heading their own way, earning them scowls and malicious mutterings from the incensed staff.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The only thing that I could be worked on is the waiter and waitresses checking on their tables more, but that's the smallest of inconveniences for me! The food was great! I would definitely come again!!! LOVE IT!

I liked the food, however the table was entirely sticky to include the salt and pepper shakers (covered in what appeared as syrup). The wait was almost an hour long on a Sunday afternoon in the lounge/bar area. And when we brought it the bartender's attention, he replied he had "put in the order prompt, 17 minutes earlier" from the time I asked. Not good at all. Tried telling him we had put the order in almost an hour prior. But he gave me the same answer, saying it couldn't be and asked if I wanted to cancel. I was so disappointed and hungry. But luckily Within a couple of minutes, the food arrived.
I'm not a huge fan of huge-plate diner food so that may be why I didn't totally enjoy this place. The service was extremely nice and friendly. The booths are comfortable and the space is very clean and nice. But we just weren't fans of the food. If anything, I'd recommend the breakfast foods over the pasta dishes.
Raspberry lemonade is amazing, the food is also good.
