Elli's Great American Restaurant Review

Honestly a great place. Burgers, pasta, anything we have tried is really good. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is they were out of flatbed tonight for my order. Oh, and try the steak bites!

Worst food ever, good service though. Returned two of three entrees, I wasn't confident ordering anything else. Might be a decent breakfast joint, I went for dinner.

We had to wait an hour for our order while people kept coming after us and getting there food before us, when we complaint the manager answer was "I'll inform the owner" well that is what really managers all about

delicious food. I've tried many different things on their menu. great service and friendly ambience. always enjoy my visits here. u can't go wrong

I had the Mojo, Cuban sandwich. It was perfect. It wasn't pressed, but the bread was soft and crunchy. Wife had the carnitas tacos. Wow. The homemade corn tortillas added so much flavor. The salsa trio dish was amazing. Steak bites for appetizer. Somehow the arugula salad stole the show, but the steak was awesome too. We will go back and back.

We order with coworkers all the time, they always have things made fresh and it has great flavor. The staff is always efficient and the place is nice in clean.

I took my mom to dinner and was very disappointed we both ordered the fried chicken and it was way over cooked burned 19.99 each plate and very sloppy on the plate

Awesome morning to start our day! The service and the food were great in spite that there were lots of people at that time. We will definitely go back.

The nacho platter was good, I had dr pepper because they dont serve Pepsi, then I enjoyed the steak & noodle plate then the fruit tart

A Salinas jewel. Homestyle potato chips on every table to start. Great American food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Don't miss dessert!

The service was decent but the food is horrible. The lemonade tasted like someone put lemon in water and called it good. Got my coffee with a dirty spoon. Received our breakfast and everything tasted plain and bleh like it was cooked in a microwave. The server was polite and nice though so thats why i still gave at least two stars. If you have a big kid have them stick with the adult menu or they will be hungry from their two bite sized meal.

Expensive, long wait, totally worth it. The food here is great. Persoanlly i think the desserts are overrated and people hype them just because they are in a glass case.

Good food. The burger was huge! Decent beer list with more than a few craft brews on tap, and the service was good. On the pricey side.

Staff is efficient, cordial. Food is the correct temp., clean, tasty.

The dessert menu proudly proclaims chocolate mousse as a choic.. When we asked for i we were told they dropped it,
and of course it was the only gluten free item on the menu.

Nice restaurant. Great environment for watching the March Madness. Lots of TVs and the crowd was very diverse.

The restaurant has a parking lot, which was virtually full when we arrived. It is attractive on the exterior and very pleasant and pleasing on the inside. We had great service from a very respondent server. The breakfast portions were adequate and well presented, however the bacon was cold. I found the prices a little high compared to other restaurants in the south Salinas area.

A preferred spot for American food. Nice place to think about business. I'll return with my relatives.

The Pistachio Crusted Chicken Salad is one of my favorite things in Salinas. The service is friendly and seating is comfortable.

Food was a bit cold had to send my soft drink back because it tasted bad but most of experience was good

Fine spot for delicious American food. The staff was friendly and observant. Atmosphere is similar to a cafe in San Jose I loved.

First time visit, nice place. I had the pizza, it was good but needs some improvement. The crust was to thick and slightly undercooked. If this pizza would have had a thinner crust and and lightly crispy it would have been 5+ stars as the toppings were excellent.

I will certainly be going back for another try.

At the tail end of the Saturday night rush, the place was clean; the staff friendly and accommodating; and the food well-portioned, made of all fresh ingredients, and offered a creative twist to your favorite American dishes.

We got the nachos; the blue cheese steak salad flatbread (literally, a salad on top of fresh, homemade pizza dough); and a snickerdoodle cookie with espresso icecream on top for desert.

Food is good waitresses/waiters very polite and respectful. A beautiful restaurant with nice sun room. Also has banquet room.

Not easy for vegetarian or vegan to find things on menu, but desserts are awesome!

I like this place. The prices are over rated though. I would say only go here on good occasions. They just charge to much.

This was my favorite dining spot while in Salinas California on a business trip. I was here for a week definitely recommending this place!!!!

Waited 15 minutes for our drink order. Oedered Steak medium rare, came out burnt. Had to keep requesting drink refills for our first and only refill. Although we told our waitress that we didn't have time for a replacement steak, we had to get back to work, we still had to wait and ask for our check. Got our check finally and went to pay and had to wait again. Not coming back.

This place shucks.
Menu is priced as if Elli's is an upscale, fine dining restaurant. Elli's is neither.
I asked for red wine vinegar, they don't have it. I asked for malt vinegar, they don't have it.

The waitstaff are quite good.

Still, the meal was as ordinary as any blueplate Diner.

By far, my favorite restaurant in town. Food is good, drinks are great and service is even better

We had great appetizer and drinks at the lalla's lounge and later that evening we enjoyed some music from there DJ.

It's a good family restaurant that holds large parties well. The have a ton of different food that will please everyone. The food is not amazing but good/comfort food. The kids enjoy it... and if they are a little noisy it's ok. The restaurant building needs some updating and a good scrub. The wait staff usually seems busy and they only check up on the table once... which can sometimes be hard if you need something.

Went there for breakfast. Service was great but the food was average, a little on the over cooked side.

Best diner in Salinas. I love their breakfast burritos. Bar isn t bad either, great place to meet friends.

Worse service, sit for 8 minutes and no one even says hi or offers you anything. This is my second time here. Never again . Manager didn't even acted like he cared. Don't go here

This is a review as a Delivery app driver. Nothing to do with their great food and service.

Deliveries are usually big which is good for tips but bad because its usually busy and no parking and fire lanes block the front and there's no dasher only parking spots in the back.

Service was prompt. Waiters/waitress very nice. Food pretty good and also prompt. You can eat lunch, at noon, in an hour. Not great parking, small parking lot.

Customer service was AWESOME. I'm old-fashioned, so I loved that noone said "you guys". The service was efficient, but not overbearing. Food was okay.

American food and service at this location is super good. i'll return with my relatives. it has a great interior. feeling here is like a restaurant in fort worth i liked.

I got a Blackened chicken Fettuccine and it was good. Now what I didn't like was the organization and service of the staff. I came with a group of 7 and 3 of them the order were wrong. I guess I was lucky to get what I ordered for this I'm gonna have to give a 2 star

Decent food, decent service but rather pricey. A $14 Reuben should have had at least twice as much meat.

Ok location for quality american food. This place does it for me. The service was very helpful and observant. This place has a nice design.

I ordered the mini cob salad, it was bigger than I expected with the word "mini" in the title, fresh lettuce, avocado, crispy bacon, moist grilled chicken, just the right amount of blue cheese, and boiled egg, loved the house dressing, my first and surly not my last visit!

This location is a hit or miss but definitely has very poor management. And you have a good chance of getting sick the next day.

Good Food, Huge portions, Fairly priced. Staff, though very friendly was a bit slow & forgetful at times of small details [cream w/coffee, spoons to stir, jam on table w/toast, picking up used or finished plates] Not a deal breaker a bit of training & communication with co-workers will fix this. Nice place, can get loud at times. Upholstered seating needs attention-a bit worn.

I have always had great food & good service here.
I try to frequent Elli's at least 2 times a week, yes, that is how good it is.

The food was amazing. I had the blackened chicken fettuccine. Delicious.

Great local place to invite a mixed crowd as the menu has many, many, many options. The bar helps as well. To avoid waiting sit at the counter and watch your pizza being made.

A fav spot for delicious American food. The service was very friendly and attentive. It has a good interior.

Wow, everything here is so good. If I could, I would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner here as well as in between deserts.
