Waiter was amazing. Food was great. Wait wasn't long. And got to see some amazing birds.

We have eaten at all the other Lala locations (Monterey, Del Monte, and Cannery Row) and we just barely came here a few days ago. It was great! The food was delicious and the staff was very kind. It had the diner feel but was still nice and not cheap feeling. You get complimentary chips as an appetizer, which it pretty neat. We shared the PG Burger, which was awesome. Wasn't expecting such a nice little place here.

quick seating, very friendly staff, great food, good price. Nice out of the way meeting and dining place amidst renovated old town Salinas. Great portions and several selections. Metered parking on the street which was fine for us but in a crunch I see there is garage parking nearby.

I feel as if the quality has dipped a bit over the years it's not as good as it use to be but it's still a great place to eat with so much positive energy from the staff. Good for the family or to go have some drinks

A favorite place for tasty American food. The staff was friendly and observant. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I liked to visit.

This place never fails to impress. They have good dishes for convenient prices, there no long wait even when the spot is busy.

Don't like the fact that they can't split the check when its a group.

I have the fish tacos. I was thinking about the quinoa salad in a few other things on the menu. At the mango salsa sounded so good and there was fresh chopped mango in the taco as well as the three sauces to choose from. There were four little tacos and every bite was fantabulous! I want to try the shrimp tacos another time and the quinoa salad sounds divine. I've always enjoyed eating here. Used to love them when they were in Monterey at Del Monte Shopping Center. The only complaint I have is the noise level inside. The service is top-notch and the food is always excellent never mediocre. And the menu is almost too big if you want people to make up their minds in a reasonable amount of time! Fun atmosphere I love to sit at the bar and watch the salad makers and pizza persons work. it's hard to get in and out of there without thinking about dessert they display them so well.

Food is decent but the service can be slow. Don't expect to be out within an hour.

Great American restaurant with a twist. Great cocktails and delicious salads. My favorite is the fish tacos. Nice that they have several branches of their services throughout Monterey county where you know what you are going to get with Lalla's and all.

We ventured out on a cold Monday evening for dinner. We made a 5:15 reservation and the place was empty. We started with drinks, I ordered my usual easy Moscow mule which turned out to be a huge disappointment. I quickly switched to wine. We started with shrimp cocktail And lump crab cakes, both were delicious. I had the Chilean sea bass with a side of corn. My Sea bass was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed my meal.

The food portions are large, you will usually have leftovers. Out server, Yuri, was very attentive and kind.

I Had the Rubin, Barb had the burger with apple wood smoked chevr e.. EXCELLENT

The food took forever to come out, and it wasn't particularly good. The restaurant is nice though. The bakery items are really good.

Cloudy ice tea for $3.99 - that annoyed me greatly. Their chicken fried steak had like an herbed breading - not good at all on a breakfast menu (found it to be completely unappetizing). Otherwise, prices are farly high, service was good and we viewed the place as a clean restaurant all around. The homemade potato chips they brought out first we're amazing and tasty. 3 stars!

Great pancake.... no way I could eat more than one. I've been here multiple times and the staff has been consistently excellent.

Food was wonderful; tried the Sand Dabs dish-reasonably priced, ambience was great, service was excellent, but bar prices were excessively and extremely high...$9 for a 22oz draft beer!! Will not be back; can get a similar meal at Applebee's for a third of the price.

Great food! Had Bbq chicken salad and fish tacos. Perfect. Last time was here just had a BLT which was also perfect and filling

Food & service is very good. Indoor & outdoor seating. Indoor can be noisy. Outdoor seating has heat lamps & well protected from the elements.

Very slow service! Food was disappointing as I have been going to Ellies for over 20 years...

I've eaten here for years and I've always loved their food. The staff is always friendly too, and the outdoor seating is so nice. BUT the last time I ate their was such a disappointment! I ordered the avocado toast, which I've had before and loved, and with the first bite I chomped on a HUGE chunk of eggshell!! I actually couldn't tell what it was at first (thought maybe it was a burnt corner of toast), but once I did I had to run to the bathroom to spit it out. I took the rest of the egg off my toast, and I won't be ordering any type of egg from there again. Aside from that experience, I've always had good meals there.

Loved it! Good was great, service was fantastic and we were seated fast!

Don't get me wrong the food isn't bad. But, the price you pay isn't worth the quality you receive. My wife got a pizza that supposedly brick oven baked but was more like microwaved. The pizza was, more or less soggy and and under done. We sent it back to run through for a few more minutes, when she got it back it didn't look like they did anything. I think it was colder when we got it back after they put it back in the brick oven. I got the bacon burger, which was supposed to be a proprietary mix with Kobe beef. But if you know anything about Kobe beef, once it leaves Kobe Japan it's no longer Kobe beef it's wagyu beef. When I received it, it was cold and the cheese was half-melted and the taste wasn't anything to write home about. To sum it up, the food was overpriced, the quality wasn't there for what you pay for.

Definitely enjoyed the Chinese chicken salad here at Ellie's. I also enjoyed the deserts. And the Ice T was very good as well. The environment is always very pleasant and the servers were providing their good service as well.

american food... excellent. This place will surprise you. Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. Not so close to my office, unfortunately.

The food was amazing! As this area has lots of mexican food its always a great treat to switch it up. The desserts are amazing and very affordable as well. Had to grab some cookies for the road. Was there for a dinner party and I appreciated how attentive the servers were even with a full house.

Honestly a little expensive for what it was. I got chicken fried steak and was pretty unimpressed with anything but portion size. The clam chowder was good, the restaurant was nice and clean with no real wait, but overall 3- stars is accurate for this one.

We went with a large party of about 10 people. We all agreed that the food was about three star quality. The service was pretty good, bathrooms were clean. Lots of options for kids meals.

If I could give a zero I would. Just had the worst service for the last time. Our server just ignored us. When we told the hostess she didn't care. Terrible!

Good site for delicious American food. Filled me up in no time. The service was very sociable and kind. The bill was good for how much you get. Makes me feel like I am back in Tucson.

Not bad...everyone in our party of 7 had great food. My sand dabs were way over cooked and mushy, and hubbys fries were cold. But it was still good and would go back.

Bad service, even gave them another try came at 9:15 and there supposed to close at 10pm. "Elie" didn't care didn't even allow me to order to go. Guess my money is appreciated elsewhere, other people even pulled up to come eat ....Eddie Estrada this is how u run a business?

The food here for the most part is relatively good. The customer service USED to be great. I'm not sure what it is if the girls that work the front stand aren't being trained right or just lack customer service in general. One girl in particular was extremely rude and entitled. I placed a to go order and tried to order a Salad for a co worker but was told by the host that the specific item was no longer on the menu which I completely understood and was okay with. From the start when she first answered the phone already seemed annoyed. When I told her I would call back to see what my co worker would want instead of the item that was no longer on the menu she was even more annoyed and hung up the phone without saying anything. Extremely rude. I asked for her name once I got there and she had told me her name was Frankie. That girl really needs to work on smiling a lot more she brought the entire mood down for me. The hostess sets the tone for the entire restaurant and the tone she set was nothing but negative.

Nice on the patio except the traffic makes a lot of auto exhaust. I coughed a lot.
My friends salads we're very large and looked great.
Made my French dip sanwitch look alone and dinky. Says mounds of meat on the menu.
