I was amazed at the Elite Built Homes process in building a new home. From the first visit meeting Laura, to the Design Center with Michelle, to the actual building of our new home supervised by Joey, and the closing with Kim. The process is streamlined and made the choices of flooring, paint, light fixtures, etc...much easier. We were kept apprised of the progress on our new home at each step. We are extremely happy with our new home and cannot thank Elite Built Homes enough. I will recommend you highly to anyone looking to build a new house. Thank you, Beth Lazich

I closed on my Villas at Floyd's Fork home in August 2020. Prior to my purchase commitment, Elite Homes touted their design and amenities with the aging person in mind. Buyer beware! I pointed out, prior to closing, my concern with with the trip hazard of my driveway and garage floor. There is a 3 inch rise from where the driveway and garage floor meet. Not all homes have this lip. I was not given a choice in this design. I was told that the design would prevent rain from getting into the garage. My drive way has a significant slope away from the garage. This makes no sense to me.
Five days after closing I was in the garage working at getting moved in my home. I rolled my ankle on the lip which caused an ankle fracture. Per physician recommendation, I prepared to soak my ankle in epson salt. I removed my splint and proceeded to plug the tub. I took a header into the tub when the downspout moved, causing me to lose my balance and fall forward. This is how I discovered the downspout had never been attached to the bathtub. Now I'm dealing with a broken ankle and a possible concussion. Thankfully, no concussion. Does this sound like a half a million dollar home? Does this sound like a home built with an aging population in mind?
Initially, I was very patient and forgiving. I requested that the trip hazard be rectified to prevent future injuries. I have had no response or apology from "Senior Management". Does Elite not understand they continue to put me at risk every time I am in my garage? Does Elite not understand their faulty design is placing me at risk of a lawsuit if someone is injured on my property due to their imposition of a trip/fall hazard. One has to question if Elite cares about the health and safety of those who purchase a home from them.
It would behoove Elite to consult with professionals that understand the dynamics of aging.
We are very pleased with our new Elite built home and the entire build process. Even with the Covid-19 adjustments, the process went smoothly and folks from Elite were very accommodating. All round great experience and would highly recommend Elite Built Homes!!
When we decided to build a home, it was an easy decision to build again with Elite. We built with them once before and had a great building experience. This time they actually exceeded our expectations once more! During the last 6 weeks of the building process, my husband found out he was going to require 2 major surgeries 2 weeks before our expected move in date. We spoke with our supervisor, Terry, and he talked Joe Pusateri. Within hours, Terry called us back and promised to finish our house 2 weeks EARLY so that we could move in the day before surgery. Now, I can unpack as my husband recovers at home instead of trying to move during this delicate time. Without reservation I recommend Elite Homes for your next home building project!
It wa a very pleasant experience. Elites closing person Kim Lally was very professional and personable. We closed at Pitt and Frank and I would highly recommend them. Closing on a new home can be quite stressful and they along with Kim made the transaction a very pleasant one.
There is a way of selfless serving that has a special greatness. Though often overlooked by man, it will never be overlooked by God. We had heard excellent reports about Elite Builders and as a result wanted to build with them. We couldn't have been more pleased with all the people with whom we worked. Starting with Jim Ryan - AWESOME! Jim was professional and extremely punctual whenever we had a question or concern.
Joey Bell, our Project Manager was also AWESOME! He, as with Jim, was professional and also extremely punctual whenever we had questions or concerns. We greatly appreciated how both would get back to us IMMEDIATELY when we would text, call or email. While walking through our new home orientation, Joey was exceptionally aware of everything that needed to be attended to - paint touch ups, dry walling, handles on doors, etc, etc, etc. Building a home can be quite mind boggling but both Jim and Joey made the experience very enjoyable!
We were also impressed with the help Kelly Kirkpatrick gave to us in the design studio. She was very pleasant and professional. She knew her stuff for sure!!
Mike Metzkes, president of Elite Homes, also made sure that we were happy customers. Mike called us within 10 minutes after emailing him with a concern about the kitchen counter we chose. He wanted to know what he could do to make us happy. We let him know and he made sure that our counter was changed out before our closing date.
We would highly recommend Elite Builders to anyone wanting to build a home. Such good people to work with!
The experience with Elite and their staff has been exceptional. Everyone has been very friendly and accommodating. Our sales rep Laura Fisk was very friendly and took ample time to explain the process. She worked deligently with us to get the lot we desired. Lauren at the Design Center was extremely knowledgeable and was helpful in making critical decisions for options available to us. Along the building process we visited several models to get ideas, take photos and measurements. At every location the Elite reps were more than accommodating and even offered suggestions. My two Elite heros are Joey Bell, building supervisor, and Kim Lally, closing coordinator. Joey kept us updated as to progress, answered every question, never made us feel as though he didn t have time for us and reassured us throughout the entire building process. He is truly an asset to Elite. He is great with PR, knowledgeable and highly skilled.. Not enough words to express my admiration and thankfulness to have worked with him. Kim Lally made the closing process seamless.and easy. She kept us informed and answered every question.. At the closing Kim gave us lots of information about dealing with issues should any arise now that we owners of the home.. She was genuine in her care and concern. Kim too is professional and an asset to Elite. My sincere appreciation to all Elite staff involved in the process. Very excited to move into our home.

Who ever is subbed out to do there concrete is completely horrible!!! Must have been on drugs or something!! The concrete looked like a 5 yr old did it!! The owner of the concrete company was rude and beligerant!! If I was elite homes I would look somewhere else to have concrete work done!!
Jon is one of the most enjoyable and personal person. He makes sure you understand everything the best way possible. Not only that he honestly the most friendly person you will work with.
A very professional, responsive company. Although I am in the early stages of building with Elite Homes, I am impressed with the organization. Charla and Jeff are outstanding at responding to our concerns.
My wife and I moved into an Elite Home in the Signature Point subdivision a little less than 4 months ago. Writing a review for them is not an easy thing.
On one hand, the house is absolutely terrific. I feel it is well built, the finishes are top notch, and it looks great. On the house alone, they provide a fantastic product. Unfortunately, it s everything else that goes into the process that makes it hard to deal with them. I almost wish we could ve just bought an Elite Home from someone else, instead of the company themselves.
At basically every step of the way we found some sort of mistake. Items were being double billed in the contract, items were being charged at a rate higher than what the sales rep told us, the floor plans had errors, our floor plan was constantly being mixed up with a neighboring house being built, a light fixture was installed inside of a screened porch instead of outside of it, Elite did not inform the closing agent of checks we submitted for change orders causing the closing paperwork to be redone leading up to the closing. All of these mistakes were items I caught, not someone from Elite. The frustrating thing was as I pointed out these mistakes Elite reacted like I was difficult to deal with instead of being apologetic. All things added up I would imagine the mistakes and corrections I discovered saved us over $10,000.
We closed with several items not completed. There was no irrigation installed, the fencing had not been completed, the blinds were not up because the project manager forgot to order them and then sent the blind company to the wrong house to measure when we reminded him, we had wrong pocket doors installed, our gate on our front porch was missing, there were no screens in the windows. These items were acknowledged as missing at the closing, but getting them corrected after closing became like pulling teeth. Again when we brought up our concerns we were met with reactions like we were being a bother.
I also would warn people about doing anything extra. We designed our house to have a theater room in it. Since they were building the house I figured they could do it easier, I expected to pay a premium and was fine with that. They said they could do it for $9,000. I then asked for a list of what was to be installed because I am geeky that way, they reacted like they had never heard that request and it would be a big deal. When I finally got the list it was a joke. A remote control to control everything was $900. The projector being installed was an older model. I took the list to Best Buy and they laughed because they didn t even carry the items due to age, the guy was floored at how much they were charging, they offered to do the job for half with newer equipment. I ended up doing everything myself using newer models and more speakers for 1/3 the cost. Just a shocking markup.
I read the other reviews online about how easy Elite was to work with and how they go out of their way to solve problems and am completely jealous. I don t know if we are just in the wrong subdivision or what because we seem to constantly be met with unanswered emails, unreturned phone calls, and just a genuine feeling that we are stopping them from completing more important work all because we stayed involved and wanted to hold them responsible for promises made. It certainly was not the level of customer service I anticipated based on their local reputation.
Again, as far the house goes, we love it, but after dealing with Elite for almost a year from the time we signed the contract on the plot of land, I am not sure we would recommend friends and family use them.
Edit: I met with a representative from Elite after writing this review, but the subject was not this review, after meeting with him I do realize where some of the communication issues have come from. There have definitely been trying moments, but I do feel better about things. For that reason I am bumping them up from 2 * to 3 *.
Kim Lally, our closing coordinator was AWESOME. We knew from the first email we received (60 day letter), that we were working with a true professional!! Kim's emails were always filled with so many details and so much information that enabled us to prepare for the closing along the way. We truly appreciate the attention to detail, prompt response to all of our inquires and extreme professionalism that Kim displayed through the entire process.
Jeff and Trevor were terrific, answered all of our questions and there were a lot of questions. The selection process when it came to design was what I was afraid of. We thought it would be daunting, the part many love, I was overwhelmed by but Lauren made it fun and easy. She truly loves and is great at her job. Thanks to these terrific people for helping us.
I spent 2 days with Paulette Turner. She took us through the Avondale at 9329 Cross Meadows Circle. She points out various features standard along with upgrades in each area. She answered our questions to help us decide if this was a purchase we wanted to make. She did a good job addressing our issues.
Wonderful experience every step of the way. If you are reading this, you should build a home with Elite Built Homes. Nothing but satisfaction will result!
From the lot selection process, on to the design center, through construction process, and finally closing, we could not have had a better experience. The process started with Jeff showing us lots and model homes until we made our final decision. He was quick with a response to any request we had. Our design center appointment was a joy. Michelle helped make the experience easy and enjoyable. Lori was stressed about all the choices and Michelle reassured her and quelled her anxiety. John was our construction super and was a pleasure working with. Any question, comment, or concern was quickly addressed and made the process stress free. We were warned by friends that building a home is very stressful, but the team at Elite made the experience of building our dream home a true dream.
We have had nothing but the BEST experience with Building our Elite Home. From our first meeting with Ann Hinz to our Design Appt with Michelle Heareth to our meeting with John Jordan. These 3 people are the BEST in their field. They were always informative, up front, honest and professional. Elite Builders should be very proud to have them on their team. We would highly recommend them at any time. The experience with building was seamless and smooth. They set our expectations from the very beginning and followed thru until the very end.
It's July 31st, we've been in our Elite Built Home barely a month and the air conditioner has gone out. Now, we're told it will be at least a day before it's fixed. But that's not all! We have had so many issues with this $416K house it's unreal. It's not like this is our first house so our expectations are unrealistic. We have owned and built several homes. This move was to downsize in square footage, not quality, even though that's exactly what has happened.
I am extremely satisfied with the service and attention I have received from every person associated with Elite Built Homes. I recently moved into the Villas at Floyd's Fork and my experience from purchasing the lot, visiting the design studio, coordinating the construction details, and the actual closing were so easy and very enjoyable. Thanks to every one of you for making my new house the perfect home!
Thank you to Jon for making our home buying experience amazing. My husband and I were only in town for a few days so we needed things to move smoothly. Jon had amazing patience and offered us the options available within our timeframe. He made sure that we were comfortable with our purchase because we had to make it quickly. As we talked and did paperwork, neighbors who had already bought homes stopped by the office just to say hi to him. While we were at the house he was hugging and shaking hands with clients. Every neighbor that saw him came up to say hello. As a buyer that says a lot about how much Jon cares for his home buyers. We truly appreciate the help and customer service we received. Were fairly happy with shakes run 1/2 mil house until the house nextdoor was obviously being built on top of us, unlike any of the other cul desacs. When we questioned how close they were building next to us, we were told the city of Louisville allows 3 feet from the property. We weren't given a voice in the house position or placement . Assume that still holds.
Just closed on our new home in The Enclave at Douglass Hills. Our superintendent, Troy Gilbert, was amazing!! He was always so responsive to our questions and so prompt to fix any issue we had. One of the things that impressed me most was the fact that he d already noticed things we would point out for correction. He would have already contacted the contractor to come back out to fix the problem. He really made our experience so nice. We love our home.
The value you get for your dollars spent is truly spectacular. We have not started the build of our home yet, but going through the contract, working with Jeff then heading into the design center was a wonderful experience. Thus far I would strongly recommend Elite Homes.
