Great and unique gaming bar in Cologne. There are many ways to celebrate video games there, whether retro or modern, console or PC. But you don't have to gamble, you can also chat very well with other people at the bar. The range of drinks is very rich and if you get hungry, you will find a lot in the area, from kebab to pizza. In addition to normal bar evenings, there are also regular specials where you can always get involved in the community and meet new people. For example at pen & paper or board game evening. And last but not the least, the bartenders are always worth a visit to the Meltdown.

A really excellent establishment! The cocktail selection makes you grin, the decoration and humor are adapted to gamers. The music has something for everyone, from 80s to techno, rock and charts, everything is included! You can also quickly find new friends because you can simply play Mario Kart together. Even brought consoles are easy to install, you feel very comfortable as a gamer in the meltdown!

No matter which language is spoken, everyone is well understood here. Top friendly staff, with very good drinks, a gastronomic good food selection outside, which you can eat in the store. "How much black matter is there and why does my vacuum cleaner robot no longer do it", everything is discussed here and everyone here finds like-minded people. Top shop. Please continue to do so!

The atmosphere is very nice, everything is kept very dark (the floor and the walls are black, the furniture dark gray or brown), the three "rooftop" sofas with coffee table, in the middle of the store, suggest a "home-feeling", the screens are partially questionably placed, but certainly intended for the quiz evenings. If you want you can gamble against a deposit for controller and game, for example, Tekken 7 on the PS4. I think the drinks are very expensive, but that mostly consist of fruit juice and ice cubes (yes, big issue). The names of the drinks are thematically inspired by video games, eg Leroy Jenkins or Crystalline Flask. What I find very cute: if you pay with EC card is on the charge "Well played", a great detail!

I love the meltdown! Although I was only there three or four times, but I've met only cool people, not to mention the bartenders, with whom you can always fall into a nerd, gaming or even serious conversation :) I like to come back again and again drink one or two beers with my people at an absolutely fair price! Occasionally even old German Animemukke runs and the whole room snaps: D It is always fun and thanks to the consoles and PCs (which are freely accessible) there is something for everyone. Very very cool!

Great gaming bar every gamer should have been to. There are various consoles from SNES to PS4 for which all game hits are available. The cocktails are creative and constantly changing and the price has even become a little cheaper. All in all, always a great experience. Every gaming enthusiast who is in the city should stop by here.

For interested gamers, this is the place to be in Cologne! Various possibilities to gamble on different consoles free of charge. The alcohol is a little more expensive, but there are delicious cocktails tailored to the scene. If you feel like playing a round or two and drinking an unusual cocktail, you are definitely in the right place here

Wanted to get in, but couldn't because of a Capcom prerelease event. Why is it closed to paying customers who just want to watch? Beats me considering the bar was empty. This is supposed to be a place where gamers can feel welcomed, however being segregated looking through the windows at some other people playing seems like a step in the right direction for the Meltdown Cologne crew. Only available from 10pm on a Saturday evening after the "cool kids" are done. Please wait a few hours outside. Terrible way of handling such an event. 0 stars would be the correct rating. Never going again.

Hi Andreas, It was or rather it is really a really great store that you have built yourself. The cocktails were amazing by the way. Thanks again for the invitation. I would love to come back again. Greetings from Paderborn.

It muffles like my big brother in the room, but otherwise it was quite funny. If something is free, you can play games for free, such as Mario Kart. The cocktails are delicious, but unfortunately they were quite small. And you have to wait long for the drinks, even if not so much going on. Since I've never been to a game bar like this, I thought it was really cool and funny and would go again. My favorite bar will not be

Gaming pub with cool furnishings and allusions to games in every corner. For this purpose, monitors / projectors are installed everywhere to be able to follow different streams, even on the toilet. Different consoles and 6 PCs are freely available. The audience corresponding to the scene from normal to full nerd everything included. Had a nice relaxing evening there.

The gamers out there go to meltdown cgn when you're in Cologne The bartenders are cool and the people really nice. There is almost never any stress in the bar, it's hard to avoid 100% because alcohol changes people. In any case, come over to drink and gamble or just chat with someone about gambling or whatever: D
