Lovely food, lovely atmosphere shame about the films which are quite important when one goes to the cinema - nothing but science-fiction and same old American gangster rubbish - more British and European films would be good

This place is unbelievable. When you walk up to it outside, you would think it s a small cinema.
But it is a large one with a huge screen.

Mix of comfy sofa seats, normal seating and these super comfy beds at the front with blankets.

Food and drinks available to purchase at the back and the food is great.

Fantastic place for a date

Would have been four * but they stuffed up our reservation, they did pay for the drinks whilst we waited for an hour . Quite a limited menu , good if you like burgers and hotdogs, but i guess its a diner type thing. Rate the mac n cheese myself. One of the best bloody marys in London.

Very comfy seats, food choices not extensive but very pleasant to have a proper table to eat from, footstools and blankets. It's a pity the toilets are situated next to the screen and not at the back as viewers get to see everyone visiting the facilities while watching the film.

One of my favourite cinemas ever! Great atmosphere and perfect for longer films, a little more expensive that your average high street cinema but not by much and worth it for the comfort factor alone

Wonderful cinema nestled away in Portobello Road. Excellent layout with small details thought of such as avoiding people get in other people's viewlines. Great food and drink at a reasonable cost (compared to other cinemas). Minor complaint in lack of A/C vs the Shoreditch one as it was quite warm and stuffy (in July). Other than that no complaints and will definitely be returning in the future.

Terrible customer service - unavailable for all the times we were in town when we tried to use a voucher. No reply when we emailed and unapologetic and rude on the phone - they just said "that's the way it is".

Worth the try for the experiential appeal. Very nicely decorated, small cinema. The armchairs were great, very comfy. It does feel like a more personalized, upscale experience. Very small theater, staff is great. Armchairs are the best seat in my opinion :)

A unique experience and would definitely recommend. We booked the front bread which was very comfortable and nice to watch a film on. The only let down was the the sofa and coushions were stained in various places with what I can only assume (and hope) is nacho cheese.

Very good the Eletric Cinema. You feel transported back in time to the big movie theaters. The bar has good options for snacks and drinks, the chairs are extremely comfortable and the picture quality and sound great. More

If you want to really enjoy the movie and come out with the feeling of feel good factor then it is the must go place.. Your view about entertainment will definitely change. Service was great as well. Highly recommended, take your date, parents or tourist there...or upset wife.. She will love you after this. Guaranteed.

Great price for an amazingly unique experience. Great location on Portobello road, and the building's decor gives a really retro atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff. The bar is great, and has a really old school feel. Would definitely recommend and will for sure be going again.

Arguably the best cinema in London. The armchairs, sofas and beds are ridiculously comfortable, and there's a decent food and drink selection that extends beyond the usual popcorn and soda. Enjoy... or the rooster gets it.

Helpful,, good service with humour, lovely seats. Such a change from when I use to go there in my much younger days when we use to call it the flee pit or bug hole, but then that was in late 40s early 50s. Wonderful place to go. Thank you.

Great cosy cinema. If you come here with a partner , I'd recommend to get the front row beds ( at the back it's more expensive and it's just sofas so the front ones are double beds and are also not too close to the screen )

Boutique cinema on Portobello road. All the seats are large armchairs with big foot rests, extremely comfy. You can also book one of the beds (for 2 people) in the front row or one of the sofas (also for 2) in the back row. Very luxurious feel and pretty good value given ticket price. They serve lovely coffee along with booze and snacks at the back of the cinema. One of the nicest places in London to watch a film

Clean, spacious, table servive. Actively abiding by any metering rules. Had a sofa at the front. It was so comfy. I fell asleep and missed the whole movie.

So.... This is a bit of a hard review but I'll be objective. Just go to a normal cinema! Food is overpriced (ticket too) and in very small quantities and not great quality. The movie screen isn't wide enough so that if you are sat at the sides, you feel slightly cut off from the screen. The sound also wasn't as great, felt like watching at home with speakers.

The only plus is the chairs are comfy with a foot rest and enough leg room.

This will work for a date if you want to try something new or impress someone (make sure to get the beds or the couch as the arm chairs put you far apart from the next person).

Will not do a second visit. I'll still vote for a Cineworld or Vue/odeon with VIP seating.

The cinema visit reinvented with mixed results in an original early 20th.Century custom built movie theatre. Certainly an improvement on your local multiplex, quite luxurious and a novel experience.

Our night here was absolutely brilliant!! We booked one of the beds at the front to watch Mission Impossible and when we arrived we actually felt slightly embarrassed to be right at the front in a bed hahaha! The fact that you can eat and have a bottle of wine while you watch the movie is something of incredible.
