As visitors from the US, this was a very unique experience for us. We really enjoyed watching Bladerunner here. Wish we'd known about the restaurant next door because we would have definitely done that first. Drinks were inexpensive in the theater, I just wish they'd stop serving as soon ad the movie starts since it can be quite loud and disruptive. We also tried to get a bed in front but online it said they were all booked, however there was one free, so we were bummed but the armchairs were great. Overall, highly recommend!
Great place to watch a film. Great screen, very comfortable chairs and small tables to the German Astor Lounge come off close.
Want to experience something amazing this is a place to be
Wonderfully comfortable, charming atmosphere and wonderful food and drinks. A must if you have the chance
Super! Really comfy seats and nice food, no popcorn though :(
Well worth it, comfort and luxurious in art deco splendour.
Very cosy cinema. Good for date nights as you can get a bed seat with blankets
Company = fun, drinks = great, food = not worth it at all
A wonderful old-timey experience. A beautiful theatre with large, comfortable chairs (with blankets!), super friendly staff, and an in-theatre bar. They also have one of the more amusing "turn you phone off" lead-ins
Great experience, get on it when the covid fun ends
Super cool cinema. I went and watched a flick here and dew weeks ago. I honestly fell asleep because the chair was so comfy (plus it was a late showing). I'd definitely come back again. I sat in the last row of normal chairs, while kind of far away, it was still a good view.
great cinema, great seats (so comfortable), good food, expensive but you get what you pay for
Great to visit again, loved the film and customer service. Only negative was how hot it was inside, very sticky
So the movies are great for everyone. They have a wide range of choices from children to war movies. They're also very kind and understanding. The popcorn is great and the seats are very very very comfortable. In fact, my youngest sister literally fell asleep on one of them. It was quite late for her, it was most definitely not the movie! The movie was very exciting!
Nice and cozy cinema, but would be great if the bar was closed with a few minutes' notice, especially given the 10 minutes' queue to it.
Great cinema, excellent service, really comfortable, such a lush experience.
Perfect cinema! Watched the new Tarantino film here and loved it. Also perfect if you don't like your date or are averse to PDA as it is virtually impossible with the detached and independant armchair seats :)
I always have a great time here. Very cozy and comfortable experience.
Cosy and romantic cinema with nice bar and enough space to chill with soft blankets. Sound not a 100% but usually artsy movies shown where not necessarily needed
Definitely the best cinema I've ever been to. Forget overpriced popcorn, the smelly seats and the sticky floors of your local Vue. This is a totally different approach to the cinema experience. Firstly the seating is great: large, comfy armchairs, each with a side table, a lamp and a blanket. When you walk in for the first time it feels more like a jazz club than a cinema. Down on the front row there are four 'sofas' that are more like king-sized beds so you can sprawl out surrounded by food and absorb the brain-candy in the arms of your beloved just as you would at home, for slightly less than the price of two seats. Then, the food. Oh, the food. Honey-coated fried chicken and a portion of generously topped nachos were enough for us, but we wanted to try everything. All the food is indulgent, interesting and well-priced - not cheap, but we left satisfied.
Nice cinema, good experience. Didn't receive my food tho ;) waited too long Comfy seat and warm blanket but very dirty smelly......
Probably no better place in the world to watch a movie
Honestly I haven't got there but electric in himself is good omens
Great experience and one of the comfiest cinemas around for sure. Shame that they don't have popcorn, so bring your own.
It's always fun when our school brings us I would recommend
The only place I go to watch movies. Once you've experienced their comfy sofas and delicious chicken wings, you'll never want to go anywhere else
Amazing atmosphere! If you dream of viewing a movie in a bed or a comfortable sofa this is definitely the place!
Good atmosphere with comfortable chairs. You can't see the person next to you unless you are in the very front on a bed. It's worth to try.
I love the exterior and the interior here. I hope all cinemas are like here. It would be fun.
Haven't been to the cinema here but the diner was very poor. Slow service, bizarre overpriced menu. Way too expensive for what you get. Go elsewhere.
I have been told that this is a great old place but I was treated so rudely and dismissively by the front office staff that I would hesitate to patronise them. Sad.
Really wonderful cinema. Their website is missing some info, it was pretty warm in there and they don't have popcorn... But the beds for the show were super comfy, you don't feel like you're straining your neck. The intro to remind you to shut your phone off was particularly well done. Definitely worth trying it out.
Beautiful historic theater with lounge chairs, love seats or beds to watch a well curated selection of movies. Food and beer at reasonable prices are also available.
My best movie theatre in all time. On Sunday morning, leaning back in the luxurious chair with a croissant and a cup of flat white; the best way to start a day. Always dying to be there!
Really comfortable cinema in a fantastic location. My new fave cinema in London!
Excellent cinema but missing fresh popcorn, which is always a cinema must.
This place was a total luxury for us NCT mums. I can't think of many times I've been more comfortable.
One of the best theaters I have been to in a long time. Too bad they don't have this in America
Excellent service and very good food. The only issue was that the music was a bit loud and you couldn t speak easily with others
Slow service and bland burgers. Absolute shame as I love the location and the cinema is a great experience
Great place to spend an evening..especially on a date. I had so much fun and I've seen the most beautiful London views with sunset sky. This all with the following big open sky cinema. Very much recommend!
Thumbs up for this dignified cinema to relax and enjoy. Great screen, very comfortable armchairs and small tables, the German Astor Lounges come close. The cinema, Portobello Road with the market will be known to fans of Notting Hill. The Electric pub at the cinema has wonderful burgers and steaks. How much in the UK, can be booked online.
Booked one of the beds at the front and got under blankets to watch the film. A fun and different experience I would recommend to anyone visiting London.
I ve been coming here for Years. Definitely worth the extra money.
Always love Mondays at Electric Cinema for the Electric Scream programme. Low key, quality time with my baby is a perfect way to start the week.
Comfy seats. A bit pricey and the film choices have been a little safe lately.
I love this place.....I go regularly for the baby cinema screenings and they are fab. Only complaint is that the food often runs out and not much variety, bit a real treat of a venue!
Best cinema...diner next door also amazing food and staff...Security are very professional friendly and helpful
Such a fun and unique experience! Highly recommended especially for your friends and family who just love going to the movies. Food is also amazing! Can t beat this
Wonderful cinema. We booked a bed and was very comfortable and romantic.
Such a treat coming here! The comfort of the armchairs in such a beautiful old restored cinema is an experience to repeat! The food and drinks on offer isn't as impressive as it used to be, but it's still good. The sound could be slightly better and cooler air conditioning as we went on a very hot summers day, but they're no reasons for not going!
Best cinema in London, hands down. Try and book the back sofas if you can
One of my fave cinema in London and the whole world! A jewel that preserves its vintage look but embraces technology, good taste and comfort.
Best cinema in London, old school vibes, great food!
ok so haven't experienced building all I say is the website is confusing I'm trying to see times 3 days in advance and there's no indication of how to do so which doesn't make me want to plan to go there so what's the point?? so thats annoying. whatevers. I thought it was cute and smaller but ok. make it simpler. I'm sure good experience cinema wise. But hard to go wrong so...
World famous electric cinema. What can I say. You must go at least once.
Great experience. I would recommend saving it for a film you really want to see and it not be ruined by annoying people.
A must go place for the true lovers of flick. A true cinema experience as it should be.
We had such a lovely evening here, so comfortable and food brought your seat. We had a bottle of prosecco brought out in an ice bucket. Well worth the money will definitely go again!
Stunning architecture and unrivalled cinema experience
Love it... so nice and 60's... a place where money is not King...
Love this boutique cinema with leather seatings & couches. Great to have drinks & ninbles though on a bit to expensive sode
