Cute little theatre on Portobello Road. Nice big arm chairs to sit in for the movie, they even have blankets for the colder days too.

They offer a variety of snacks and drinks as well, but best to order before the movie starts. There is always a bit of a que when ordering, so get there early. Also best to pre-book online so you can pick your seat.

The old school cinema with armchair seats separated by a small round table, I assume to make sure you don't get to hold hands with whoever your there with!!

No popcorn. The biggest disaster. There's a pic and mix section that you can buy boxes for either with your ticket or the bar that's located at he back of the auditorium. Expect long queues for the bar and it closes when the movie starts.

It's a cute little place that's worth a visit.

Rip off prices lousy sound! You can eat whilst watching latest movies & disturb your fellow viewers with your masticating gums chomping away if you've got any teeth left by the time the NHS dentists have done with you. Has big comfortable leather settes one can slide off of onto the floor..if film is of the borring kind!

A fantastic cinema experience for the enthusiast. This isn't your run of the mill cinema - the emphasis is on luxury and extravagance. The seats are superb, I was on one of the sofas at the back which was very comfortable. There are also beds at the front and armchairs in the middle. Everyone gets a footstool and a cashmere blanket. I ordered doughnuts from the bar (there are no crunchy, loud snacks on offer like popcorn which made me very happy) and they were made fresh to order as a box of warm cinnamon sugared mini doughnuts, which I highly recommend! The film was great and there's some clever tech in the screen as it expands to a full size canvas having started looking worryingly small!

It was expensive, easily double a ticket to a regular cinema, but this is worth it for a special date night or a treat as it is a very different experience. I also thought the sound quality wasn't quite up to my standard, dialogue was very quiet, however there are two reasons this may not be a fair criticism: firstly my seat was at the end of the back row, furthest from the audio sweet spot (which should be the centre of middle row) and also I work in the industry and check things like audio levels on a daily basis so might be slightly more critical than a non-specialist.

Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and one that I would be happy to repeat again two or three times a year!

I love this place! We won a competition to see Jupiter ascending and it was showing here. We were stunned when the seemingly tiny screen grew in front of our eyes! the armchairs and footrests that EVERY seat has are comfy! the little table More

Luxury cinema might not be something I could afford every week but I certainly felt like I day getting my money's worth. Best described as "cinema for grown ups". Had a great experience, saving up for next visit.

I booked a table for 8pm, when I arrived (on time) the table I had booked had been given away to someone else. As such I was given a different table (on the condition that I be finished by 9. The seats were uncomfortable and broken. The waiting staff was fine to begin with, the food was also fine. It was 8:40 when it came to ordering dessert, and i thought that we'd be finished and out of there by 9 (as requested), however our waiter never returned to take our dessert order. I tried to flag down other server but was ignored, until some 25 minutes later our waiter finally turned up. Id asked to order the donuts but was told that they'd just sold the last one. I was fuming at the treatment I'd received, and promptly asked for a lesser dessert to go. I asked for the bill, 10 minutes after that request and well past 9pm at this point we paid our bill and received death stares from the concierge on the way out, overall this was quite possibly the worst dinner expirence I've had in London, I'd definitely recommend not bothering with this place.

The word quaint could have been invented for this place. There was a movie on when I visited so I don't know if they have coffee drinks ice creams or loos but they had a very pleasant (tiny) foyer and good advance information about the movies

A cool Indie cinema playing mainstream films. Sit back and enjoy your film in a leather armchair, wrapped in a blanket (provided), and put your feet up. The Electric Cinema offers an experience like no other.

The best way to watch a movie. It takes you back in time when cinemas were not just how many people can you squeeze in one auditorium but how comfortable it is. You get your own armchair to crawl in and a foot rest ottoman. If you open the ottoman there is a cashmere blanket in there to wrap around you and feel cosy. There is food too and drinks that you can enjoy from your little side table with a cute little lamp. It is not pricier than a usual cinema but you get so much more for your money. Food and drinks are not included in the ticket price.
Enjoy:)

Iconic Notting Hill movie theater showing current movies, and classic flicks. Wonderful interior space with lounge seats, cashmere blankets, a bar, food and snacks, and ottomans to kick your feet up while you sit back and enjoy the show. There are also front beds, designed for two people to lay down and watch the movie, which is super fun!!!

Lovely venue, bust cinema in London! Comfy seats, accomodating staff, and a brilliant experience! No one on their phones during the film, no one talking, no reason to go anywhere else! I will be back!

Best cinema experience! Front bed was great choice - we could take our drinks with us on a nice tray and had cosy blankets and cushions :) the cinema hall looks like a theatre inside which creates vintage feel. American diner next door were amazing: burgers arrive super-fast and cocktails were exceptional!

Accidentally booked tickets for the Portobello Road branch last night, but the staff at Shoreditch were really helpful in transferring the tickets without any fuss and getting us into the film on time. Really appreciate that.

Fun idea to make a cinema with leather armchairs with foot puffs to stretch out on., Bar in the lounge where you can buy drinks and snacks for the show before. One star is missing when the heat wave salon got warm, however, 34.5 was out so no daily problem

The service was very friendly and welcoming but the food was pretty disappointing. We were made aware of items that had run on the menu after we had been looking at the menu for 10 minutes, because of that we all had to go for our 4th choice. Cobb salad was not enjoyable, and chips were a bit soggy.

Huge comfortable armchairs, great service and plenty of space to relax. Cinema was quite warm but there is the option of a cashmere blanket for each seat!
If going as a couple I would recommend the sofa or beds (yes there are sofas and beds!).
Great place and would go again. The ticket price was worth it.

An excellent old school experience. Lovely cinema, comfy seats throughout. Good views for all. As expected the snacks and drinks are a bit pricey - except for the pick & mix. That was exceptional value.

A unique place ! You watch a movie in an old style (but beautiful) room, you are in the most comfortable chair, you can drink. A real differnet universe. Please, try it even if the frontside of the cinema seems a little "ordinary" ...
