Love our new 2019 Elddis. Great quality and comfort. A poor experience with a new Swift via a Bawtry Caravan dealer led us to buying an Elddis elsewhere. Cannot fault the caravan and have loved every moment away so far. Small niggles are expected, but ultimately we are very happy and can tell the difference in build quality to our previous van.
Today on the Willenhall Road in Wolverhampton at 3pm, one of Elddis's drivers tried to kill me! There was a bus lane on the left and stop lights up ahead at a junction of Old Heath Lane. After the bus lane we are meant to move to the left lane while those turning right at the t junction into Old Health Lane remain in the right hand lane. The EVIL Elddis driver decided to drive in the right turn lane, then move in front of me from the lane he should not have been in, as we we going through the lights into singular traffic, forcing himself in front and forcing me to break suddenly near the kerb or risk being crushed by his lorry!
What sort of F-ing evil species of scum are you hiring? I took this photo later when stopped further up the road in Horseley Fields. I expect this psycho driver WILL KILL someone in time. I will be reporting him to the DVLA for dangerous driving. LORRY REG T70 ETL. What a disgusting company!
Same problems with our 285. Damp problems and side walls coming away where they join the bathroom. Apparently a known problem with this model but no attempt to recall and fix. Had letter in July for recall regarding awning brackets....Still not fixed as dealer can't get the part from them! Great layouts. Super sales pitch. Absolutely awful workmanship and total lack of customer care. Would advise anyone thinking of buying an Elddis to look elsewhere.
Our 2 year old caravan has now been off the road 6 weeks awaiting Eddie to 'approve' the repair of brakes under warranty which were installed incorrectly. We are constantly passed back and forth between them, the retailer and alko. Beware, terrible customer service and we now have a van we are unable to use.
Had our Capiro 554 for nearly two years and we've been so pleased with it. With the extras fitted as standard it was a great purchase.
We've been very pleased with our Compass Casita 586. We've travelled thousands of miles in its first year. It's been our home from home through Winter and Summer!
Not my experience but seeing the problems on youtube of Roaming in Raymond the workmanship in their motorhome is a disgrace. ELLDISS YOU should ACT TO PUT THIS RIGHT.
I purchased a Elddis Autoquest last year, not my best purchase. On a 2012 model paint peeling of bonnet where the paint hasn t properly bonded, inside all the plastic seems are peeling away, bathroom sink is cracking, very cheap and not quality at all. Also after a trip we got our above cab window smashed. So tried speaking with Elddis to help me try to get hold of another and they just don t care.
Needless to say I will not be purchasing another motorhome from them.
Appalling company! My Encore 285 is only 2 years old and has had 2 episodes of damp ingression. Whilst talking to the helpline I was told that there was only 1 episode of water ingression. Wrong! I know it s on your computer system and you later admitted to it.
Solid construction. What a joke! The rear cabin wall is coming away at both sides from both side walks near the bathroom. Crack in a rear exterior panel. My locally approved Elldis workshop applied for a return to factory . This was rejected and the crack in the panel was apparently done by me! The van has done less than 6000 miles!
I am taking my van back to Cleveland Motor Homes , a very long journey for me. I am considering selling the van and cutting my losses but I m not going to let Elldis get away with their appalling after sales service!
