Not the best Mexican food I've had, but not bad. Okay drink selection but our server didn't know what Chivas was even though it was right there at the bar. I'd still go back because there aren't too many options on base.

I had a bad experience TWO times in a row. The service was not good at all. The food was not bad it just takes a hour to get it. This restaurant will one do well if they train the staff to be more efficient and figure out a way to expedite the food out the kitchen.

The last few times we ordered takeout things were missing from our order. This final time (we won t be dining here anymore) our order was missing chips and salsa and the $15 shrimp fajitas were a third of the size normally and we did not get the customary condiments (sour cream, guacamole, beans. We understand that COVID-19 has affected businesses but if there is a reduction in the amount of food provided there should also be a reduction in the price of the entrees.

I had pastor tacos and a "Chile relleno" with cheese. The tacos had a good flavor, however, they didn't have pineapple. As for the "Chile relleno" it was not. Lol. It was literally a green bell pepper with cheese in it. I was very disappointed, they are my favorite. I also wanted to try the tamales but they were out.
Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I would try to find a different one.

This is a complicated review. The food was ok, it was not spectacular, but it was filling and good. They were out of quite a few drink items which I found strange. The soda machine was out and no one had tried to come up with a solution other than our awesome server. That's why this is complicated. The server was awesome and did the best he could under the circumstances, sadly I don't think management has his back very well, but I am not surprised. This is an on base restaurant; I have been around military bases for most of my adult life, for one reason or another, and it is quite consistently normal for on base amenities to be run poorly. This is a shame since these amenities are for our War Fighters and they deserve better.

Great service. And that is where my positive comments end. The chips were gross. They tasted like peanuts. I ordered the steak tacos. I am pretty sure it was cat. It was awful. And I am in the Army. I will eat pretty much anything. I have dropped food on the ground in Iraq and picked it up and eaten it. Not good food either. The Pepsi even tasted weird. The rice had a rubber taste. Maybe prepared while wearing rubber gloves? I don't know how they are open still. Perhaps because it is on post and soldiers go there because it is close?

Don't get me wrong, this place definitely deserves 5 starts but after eating the food here, you will definitely need to use the rest room. It's nice for a cheap and quick bite. The bathrooms are clean and the service is always friendly.

This restaurant should NOT be classified as a Mexican restaurant!! Tried to order a chile relleno, but they don't use a pablano pepper, instead it's a green bell pepper!! Their refried beans were disgusting and served cold!! There menu says they serve a chalupa, but it's a tostada. The burrito I ordered was absolutely inedible! They serve stale chips and the worst salsa ever. The service was quick and our server was awesome!! I would NEVER eat here again!!

Most of the tables had dirty dishes on them. We went towards the end of the lunch rush and they didn't bus any of the tables. The service was slow and the food was just okay. The portion sizes were big.

Bad service, doesnt ever have multiple items on the menu, and overpriced cold food. Bathroom constantly full because of how greasy the food was. Took two hours to get food during which we got warm beverages. If you're on post craving Mexican food, either leave to Columbus or crave something else.

This place takes forever on a normal day. I went there on a friday. I had the pleasure of ordering, waiting for, and eating their shrimp pasta, with an emphasis on the waiting part. Not only did the dish look like it was rushed since they forgot to serve me with the rest of my table but the sheer amount of salt in that dish could have killed half a million snails.
I can t speak for anything else on the menu but forget about the shrimp pasta.

Its bizarre that this place is as good as it is. A mexicain restaurant in Georgia on a military base sounds like a bad idea but it's not. The steak tacos are the best. Almost as good as LA street tacos.

Came here for a quick bite to eat. Foods pretty good, service was phenomenal. The horchata is a bit watered down but not terrible. I highly recommend getting their fajitas, the shrimp was great.

I ordered lunch special 18 and the flute never came. I asked to add coriander and they brought it to me from the side, because since the dish does not include it, they could not put it ... seriously.

Searched for a unique dinning experience while on base. This restaurant shares space with a popular on base bar that you have to pass on the way in and out, not a huge turn off, but not appropriate for little kids. The staff was attentive and took our food order rather quickly. The menu had a lot to choose from, but the variety was good. The food I had was bland so I had to spice it up. I would go again when we are on base. The price is comparable to other similar restaurants.

very bad service. the administrator treats clients very badly. they do not practice the motto the client is right. We were a group of 25 people and the service was lousy. I do not recommend it for group activities.

I've always visited El ZapAta when there was no rush. Only once time did they mess up my daughter's order and she didn't get her food on time but they fixed the situation and didn't charge us For it
Food is always hot and service was always kind above average.

I just quit from working here for like a month, the manager forces employees to not follow health code, do not eat here, I've seen people drop food in trash and pick it up out of the trash rinse it off quick and throw it back in with the rest, she would yell at us if we had a rip in our gloves and tried to change them. Just eat here at your own risk.
