Really superbly organized property!! Executive Chef Gonzala Rivera went well, well beyond the call of duty. I have a garlic allergy and the buffets our company provided did not suit me. He made us special food which was superb and then sought us out during our stay to take most excellent care of us. The eggplant humus is FANTASTIC and he offered to share the recipe with us. We would definitely stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful place inside and out. The rooms are clean, the lobby is clean and they are pet friendly. The room service food was amazing and all no touch. The wings and nachos were great. Some of the best wings we've had in a long time. Very short distance to the airport.

Super nice hotel! A little pricey but so worth it. Right on the beach, with nice and big pool swim up bar. If you want to stay at a fancy hotel with minimal kids this is the spot. Room service food could be a little better, but that s my only complaint. Would recommend!

Super poor management and service starting with 25 mins check in without waiting. Our room has a connecting door with other guests. My friends and I played music (Kind of loud) and chatted in the room at night. A security guy knocked the door (in a very rude way) and told us there was a complain. We then lowered the music volume to a normal level and kept our chatting in a normal voice volume. Then another two managers came over knocking the door (super rude way too again) and gave us attitude. They wanted to talk with my friend who made the reservation and even threatened me that it could be worse if I kept talking. After, they promised us to change room for us but 10 mins later, they told us there was no room available. This hotel is definitely not a good choice for millennials who want to have fun here.

Took a long time to check in and the room smell bad, call the front desk seceral time with no answer had to walk over. Just got here so lets see how it goes.

Update 1 after check out.
When we checked in from the moment we arrived we had bad customer service starting by valet attendant, After requesting to talk to the manager for the Valet the manager was very friendly and even after me been upset he stayed calm and explain to me the policy's of the hotel and Valet.
After our first night where we had water on the floor from the fridge, then no fridge and a noise bed we spoke with the front desk and she change our room, After the change was done we where able to enjoy out stay at the hotel.

I will leave the start as for a hotel with this daily rate these things should not happen.

This hotel is an AN ABSOLUTE SCAM. I arrived here this morning from NY to be told that the beach and pool are closed. I asked when they found this out, and they said last night. THEY NEVER INFORMED THEIR GUEST so they don t lose out on making money. If they informed us, we would ve been able to stay home and cancel our flights with full refunds. Instead we re here stranded AND they re still charging us to be here until we get on our flight home since we couldn t get a sooner flights. We have been sitting here for 3 hours in a lobby full of ppl also having to stay until their flights home. So we basically paid $2000 to be stuck in a hotel room. We used to come here every year, we will never ever come back and we will warn our friends.

Beautiful! New decorations have grown in me( used to be more classic traditional), and now I'm a fan of it. Stayed here multiple times in the past, I think now is simply an amazing place to stay. I hope to come back when the restaurants open.

I have never had such a bad experience at a Hilton...

I have never had such a bad experience at a Hilton Hotel before. My husband and I made a mistake by booking their hotel. Should have book St. Regis instead. We thought that since we are Hilton Honors (HH) silver status members and have been with Hilton for the past 10 years, they will ensure our stay is special, just like other Hilton Hotels do.We stayed at El San Juan Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton from 27th to 30th November, 2019.

El San Juan Hotel is turned out to be a nightmare and that is the only reason I am writing this review after patiently waiting for over two weeks after our stay for their hotel manager to contact us and address the issue.

After booking our stay, it took us close to 3 follow ups with the customer service team to get my reservation added to my HH account. I had to request the hotel multiple times over email and phone to consider my request to upgrade to their best available room for this stay since I am celebrating my third wedding anniversary (this request wasn't something out of the blue since all silver status members are entitled to get an upgrade based on room availability). We were relieved and really happy when we were informed that we were upgraded to a pool villa. Unfortunately, that happiness was short lived. After checking in Room 263, we went for a quick meal to Cana restaurant. On our return to the room, we wanted to relax after a long flight and decided to take a nap. On going closer to the sheets we saw that the sheets were worn out and not clean. We called housekeeping as well as front desk, but no one answered the call. We decided to step out in the balcony only to realize that the door was broken and wouldn't open. This definitely couldn't be the best room on the property that Hilton thought a loyal member of HH deserved for their third wedding anniversary stay. I visited the front desk. Natalia at the front, was very kind and helpful and offered us another room 165. I repeatedly asked her that this room will be fine, without any issues? She assured me, it is going to be great. We packed our bags again and moved to this new room. Much to our surprise, this room's balcony door had an issue. Since, we are on the first floor, we had to inform security to come and address the issue. The security man struggled at night to resolve the problem, but failed. He assured us that someone would come back during the day and address the problem but no one came. The door still has not been fixed. We came back from the spa at 4:10 pm and wanted to take a shower before we head out for dinner. This is the when the final disaster happened. The shower wouldn't work and their staff had to come and fix it.

I can't believe I am writing this... El San Juan Hotel, has destroyed my dream of a picture perfect holiday with my husband. While checking out we highlighted our nightmarish experience to their assistance manager, Julissa, she assured us their Director would get in touch with us and she offered us a credit for the resort fee ($75).

We still have not heard from El San Juan Hotel. They just don't care about their guest. I am not suprised that Hilton will end their association with this hotel in December 2019.

As soon as I entered the door, I felt the hospitality of the staff. I was guided to check in the counter, and then received a text message. Any questions can be answered. There are too many swimming pools, and the sun is passing through the recliner. Great, there is music every night. The price of wine is also very close to the people.

The hotel staff were the most racist and rudest staff team that I ve ever encountered! To pay over 500+ per night and get sent to a room located directly over the hotel pipes and taunted for it by the lady at the front desk.. disgusting. The most respectful group were the guys located outside of the hotel in the beach area who helped us get our cabanas... not an inviting experiences, we ended up leaving and going to the embassy suites across the street which was amazing.

They ve had an extremely loud generator running for months, even though the power has been back since November. If you go, prepare to keep the windows closed and listen to the loud roar all night. Also they treat their workers terribly and had long protests outside their hotel.

Unbelievable stay. Check in was super easy, we checked out on the TV. We felt welcomed. Room service was quick and easy. The hotel is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Everyone was so friendly, it has amazing amenities. If you re on the fence about this hotel don t be. JUST GO! It is truly a once in a life time experience. The liveliness of the lobby is like nothing I ve never seen before. They have live entertainment, dancing, multiple bars, a night club, restaurants, everything you could ever imagine. The check out on tv, was processing for about 5 minutes and we had to go so I just left it alone. A couple hours later I got an email and receipt and everything was fine. I highly recommend this hotel!

A mixed bag. Front desk was slow, pool and wait staff were very nice. Our stay started off rough with a room that had a dirty mattress. The front desk wasn't responsive at all.
If it were not for a lovely housekeeping supervisor we might have had to move.
She went to the desk with us and made them change our room.
They are clearly still recovering from the hurricane and not at full strength
I love the facility and hope things improve in the future

RACIST HOTEL

RACIST HOTEL

I wouldn t be writing this review if it wasn t true but recently my friend encountered a horrific racist situation. My friend was literally just laying on the sofa like any patron would and then a heavier built man told her that HER kind of people just don t get it . He also used racist slurs at my friend. WOW, not only is this racist but it is also INSULTING!!!! We enjoyed our time at Brava + the Meat Market but this is making me reconsider that. I am just so disappointed !!!!

I come to PR 4-6 times a year on business. I have stayed all over the island but have never seen such a security nightmare. The hotel looks great when you walk in but it stops there. The rooms are old and in much need of updating (even with an upgrade). The staff does not care if you stay or not. I was awakened each day between 2am - 4am with wild parties on the floor and people running up and down the hall in and out of rooms. When I complained that I could not sleep and needed to check out, they said "fine". I asked them to give me what they thought was an appropriate credit for not getting sleep and not feeling safe, and they said $50 and we wont charge you for checking out early. Talk about customer service! THAT IS NOT IT! Take your points and your money and stay at the Embassy Suites, the Hampton Inn, the Hilton Caribe for a much more secure and satisfying stay. This place is a joke and they dont care if you stay or not. If the management feels this way, now I know why the staff treats guests this way. Hilton should be ashamed to put their name on this hotel. As a Diamond Member, I expect better and usually get it. Not here.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It is undergoing renovations at the moment, but it is so beautiful, well designed, and fancy. The rooms are modern, clean, and have good views. Next visit to San Juan, we would definitely stay here again.

Really surprised how nice this Hilton property is. Food was consistently excellent and the physical spaces have really been brought up to full world class four-star level since the storm. No question I will return. Bravo.

Hotel is not up to par. It has a beautiful lobby, but that's about it.
-Price is too high for resort quality and service
-Hotel room is average, if that, with a tiny bathroom. Hard to get in and out of bathroom due to the door and size.
-Bathroom was not cleaned and there was hair on the floor. Shower did not work on one occasion. When we told an individual at the front desk with a headband, she through her hands in the air like what am I supposed to do. I was really nice about the situation and just asked that we have a room with a working shower next time we stayed there. It would be interesting to know if she put us in the room we had upon our return prior to us checking out the first time.
-Espresso machine did not work either. Room is loud if close to elevator. You can hear dinging and people talking.
-Doorman just hang out at the front door. I stayed at the hotel twice and neither time did they come to unload our luggage. When leaving I tipped the individual $10 when bringing out my luggage, but they didn't load the luggage when the car arrived. We had to take the luggage cart and load it ourselves.
-Around the pool was not once offered a drink.
-Customer service is just not there.
-Hilton Curio is supposed to be an upscale hotel, but definitely isn't. A normal Hilton hotel is better. You are just paying for the lobby.
-We travel to resorts outside of the US at least 3 times per year. This has to be one of the lower end places we've stayed. Equivalent to a two or three star.
-The Hilton brand is attached to this hotel so I had much higher expectations.
-Front desk staff (individual with headband) is very unprofessional
-While she had a line at the front desk she was checking her eye makeup in the mirror behind the desk.
-Experienced others complaining abut their rooms and again individual with head band behind the desk said they had no other rooms. Interesting thing is I looked online and there were rooms Hilton was still selling for that night.
-When going to the beach, no one offered to set up chairs or an umbrella. There were no chairs available that we could get ourselves. We went to the pool, but really wanted to be on the beach.

The hotel image was AMAZING... it was clean & beautiful. The only issue we experienced is the parking key did not work making it difficult to enter back & forth. Also, there were unauthorized charges which was less than $50 but the representative had no empowerment to assist which took longer to check out.
