Today, February 1, I enter my bank account and I realize that I have 7 transactions of this hotel that add up to more than $ 100 dollars, I call the hotel and they indicate that it is a system error , that they could not do nothing until Monday at 9am that is the staff of the accounting department. It is money that I had and now my account is at $ 0.00. Who is responsible for this cyber fraud of the same Hotel San Juan?

I stayed here for an extended labor day weekend, and I had quite an incredible experience. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, most notably Orly, a waiter at the breakfast restaurant at the hotel. He definitely brought a pleasant experience to the start of each day, and added a lot of value to my stay. The beach was clean and not over-packed with people, I was not bothered to purchase services or goods on the beach, which is a fear of mine. The rooms were nice. The main lobby was beautiful, there is a mixology bar with exquisite craft cocktails. The pool area and bar were pleasant as well.

What can I say? I absolutely LOVE this property. It took a big hit during the hurricane, but it, like Puerto Rico itself, is back and better than it was before. This is classic, old school hospitality with beautiful, hand carved woods in the lobby and that world famous Champagne Glass chandelier as soon as you walk in. The rooms are nothing short of astounding, as is the service. There is a 50-75 seat nightclub that has the coolest vibe in Puerto Rico. Small tables and booths and a long bar serving anything you can dream up. Pools, beach, food - all are top notch. Stay here. You will never be disappointed.

Awesome hotel!!! Fantastic Sunday afternoon poolside party!!! Very comfortable rooms/beds. BUT.......when I was leaving today outside some individuals asked if I needed a taxi and i replied no thanks I will call an uber. My driver arrived and I put my bag in the truck to then see 4 or 5 guys threatening my uber driver and having blocked her car with a van. I calmly asked what the problem was, but these guys acted worse than the most spoiled 5 year old I have ever seen!!!! They said uber drivers had to be outside, but used a lot of profanity and literally were threatening my poor scared uber driver who was a woman. I got my luggage out...walked to the exit and she picked me back up. The reason I am putting down one star is that I hope the management notices this. I plan on calling as well....and scolds the outside taxi drivers. First of all, no one should be treated with that level of angst and disrespect. I had 2 great nights at the hotel, but to leave with that left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Here a bad hurricane is coming and people are still acting like babies. I would fire all those jackasses!!!!

I found this hotel beautiful and unique on my arrival, but I think there is a smell of mold or wet wood in the lobby that I didn't like, also there is some personal here that is not very friendly and they don't care about the costumer, I arrived at 6 am and I couldn't get a room until 9 am, being a Hilton Honor Member I expected a better room but that wasn't possible because the lady at the front desk who was kind of unfriendly, told me that I couldn't get a better and updated room because she said that I didn't have any status which I think is ridiculous due to the fact that I am member for many years. Obviously there is miscommunication between Reservations Department and the hotel and I was treated like a common turist. The room smelled like mold and there was a construction right in front of my window. After enjoying the day at the beach I walked into my room and my room was locked, I went down to the lobby 4 times to get my keys fixed and I had to form the line over and over again because there was only 2 front desk agents for such a big hotel, the incompetence of the front desk agent was above and beyond, after the 4 attempts she had to call security to find out why my room couldn't be opened and he found that the battery of the door was dead, I complained about this and I didn't get not even an apology from the hotel. I left the hotel this morning and I didn't receive any apology from anybody. Also if you want to drink some coffee or other beverage prepare your own pocket because they are really expensive and I think the customer service is not good considering it's an expensive hotel. The beach is beautiful but the customer service is bad.

This hotel caters more to locals than tourists. The beach and pool are nice however the pool blasts music all day. Thursdays -Saturday the lobby becomes a wierd club atmosphere. The rooms are decent but not soundproof at all and they lack a balcony. the Internet is spotty and there is warm but not hot water in the shower. The casino is nicer than most and does have a craps table at night. Hotel service is "island service" ; things happen on their own time not the customers. I stayed at the intercontinental next door last time. If you are staying in Isla verde I'd recommend the Intercontinental over San Juan. This property does have a full starbucks

Everything was great..though housekeeping woke us up with nonstop loud talking at 7 am every morning. They were extremely loud and rude. Opened the door and asked them to stop and it still continued. Called the front desk and then it stopped. Front desk agents were great and helpful for the stay. Everything was clean and new.

Where do I start ??? Love this hotel ! It s beautiful, old but modern And famous in the 60 s with movie stars and nightlife. The bar is amazing . The location awesome on the beach With free chairs , towels and umbrellas ; walking places to many cute restaurants and bars . The customer service was the best shout out to VICTOR on the beach assisting us with all our needs . We saw their Burlesque show and loved it and the steak dishes at their restaurant meat market was so good . I would definitely stay here again .

Came here for our honey moon. Huge mistake. The whole resort is under construction. We asked for and were promised a room with a balcony and now since the resort is undergoing renovations the balcony rooms are closed. All of the pool areas are closed. When we booked they mentioned nothing about the construction just 2 weeks prior they sent an email saying that there will be work done and some of the facilities will be closed. As we got to our room our card wouldn't open the door security had to reset the system. The room smells damp and moldy there are mold stains throughout the room the furniture is dirty and there was a questionable stain on the bed's headboard. Over all very disappointed with this place especially being a hilton resort. I would not recommend to waste your time and money here

The staff was great, very nice. Mireya on the housekeeping staff is a awesome person! She was very helpful and gave us places to go. Always with a smile she made our stay that much better. They are under construction but it didn't bother us. Just one morning they woke us up at 7:30am with some noise. The beach is wonderful, beautiful and clean. The one pool they had open was warm and inviting. But we stayed mostly on the beach. The food was very good too. La Piccola Fonta a restaurant in the resort is amazing!! We ate there twice. It is pricey but worth every penny. The morning breakfast is also amazing. They had everything you would want. Except waffles and pancakes. If we did have a problem they were quick to fix it. Our 1st night we had to move rooms because of the noise of other guest. They decided to party in the hallway and rooms instead of the 100 other places they could of went. The area around the resort is safe and full of places to eat. Plenty of good restaurants to eat different every day. We went to old San Juan twice but should of went more. It's just a $21 cab ride that takes 10-15 mins. The old fort is a great and cheap place to visit. Very beautiful. All in all the trip is what you make it. My girlfriend and I loved our trip and can't wait to come back.

I live next door to the hotel. When it first reopened in January I enjoyed walking through it and having lunch at the pool bar. Then the protests began and every single day there is yelling through bull horns, cars honking, sirens and chanting. It's about unhappy union workers but all it's doing is hurting business and creating a very stressful and unhappy time for vacationers on the beach. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. You will not enjoy your precious vacation. My relaxing weekends are haunted by loud chants reverberating between the buildings. Go down to the Intercontinental instead.

Great hotel and atmosphere, employees are very nice, from check in to check out, all you can eat breakfast buffet included, rooms have been remodeled, nightclub in the lobby where locals come to as well, pool parties on Sundays, access to the beach, and as much Fiji water as you wish to drink. As expected anything inside the hotel is very pricey, including lunch and dinner, although there is a Chilies right across the street which I recommend. Overall great hotel, and there is a spa and fitness center being built as well.

I had not been to the el San Juan in 10 years. I looked forward to spending New Year's there. Which I did. The entertainment was haphazard. Aimee was fantastic and sang for an exceedinly long time and brought in the new year. However, the main act did not appear until 12:45am when the place was thinning out! Their new price tier for admission was just corralling and cordoning off by section based on what you paid. Awful..the bartenders were awesome. Nowhere to eat or sit if you did not buy an upper tier admission. I'll go back but never to one of these functions

We stayed at the Fairmont for a weekend and enjoyed our stay. The property had become a Fairmont about two weeks after we got there and the (very) small growing pains were evident. We really enjoyed the pool, and the prompt courteous service. There are lots of areas to explore...it wasn t until the last day that we noticed the hammocks! The evening entertainment was fantastic and really gives you zero excuses to leave the property, but make sure you do! Lots to explore and experience in old San Juan, or East of the resort.

By far, the best thing about this property are the pools, & beach access. Had to change rooms because the first one was dilapidated (missing tiles in shower), & dirty. Second room was only slightly better. Service is bipolar.. Some very good, some horrible. Rooms are some of the worst I've stayed in for a Hilton brand (and I've stayed in many) - but again, not here for the room (luckily). Wifi is spotty & unreliable.
