Perhaps for those who are not from Florence it is a bit difficult to remember the names of all the bridges, but if you walk along the Arno and see one with a very long line in front of a shop, well that is Ponte alla Carraia, while the shop, none other than the famous Gelateria La Carraia and if there is a queue to buy an ice cream, the reason will certainly be there.

It one of the best in Florence, however I have tasted one of the best of the world in Venice that really raised my expectations. Overall, the Gelato here is of the best of which you can get in Florence.

Ice creams are good, but there are always too many people.

Nice food and wine selection in a more quiet area. We sat outside, and it felt very relaxing out there. The service is a bit slow, but the staff was quite friendly and responsive when called upon.

I've been a loyal customer since 2010. Definitely my favorite gelateria in Firenze. Consistently good and just keeps getting better. My go to are pistachio, limone and hazelnut. My yearly trip to Firenze is never complete without a visit to this gelateria.

Popular gelato shop. I lined up for about 10 minutes, but it was delicious. I ate three kinds of gelato with 3 corn.

Most delicious gelato I had during my 16 days vacation in Italy summer 2019. Best price as well. 3 euro for 3 flavors of generous volume.

The best ice cream in Florence! Authentic and natural flavors. Prices very low in relation to the quality of ice cream. You can choose in cone or glass. There are few places to sit inside. However with the Arno river on the side, it is good to taste the ice cream outside by the banks. I strongly advise everyone who visits Florence, even for a single day.

Great gelato at a great price! Was a little let down because I was told it was the best gelato in Italy which i did not agree with. The chocolate nut cone looked great but was a little stale. There was no inside seating. Overall a good experience

Gelateria La Carraia is our go to place in Firenze when you are craving real gelato! Check out the dairy free Sorbettos made with real fruit - they even have a dark chocolate version of that. My favorite is the "Torta della Nonna" with custard and pine nuts.

Such a delicious Gelato place in Florence!! Literally one of the best gelatos I had in our whole Italy trip and the price is so so reasonable!! Must visit place during your time In Florence. Enjoying it by the riverside is a whole new experience!!

Excellent ice cream parlor, I think the oldest in the area, the quality and variety of ice cream they have you cannot find in other ice cream parlors.

Don't bother with any of the ice cream shops on the main strip as this is the best. Tried 8 different ice cream shops and this one blew them all away. Some how they managed to be the cheapest while making flavours the make your mouth come alive and not bland like the other shops. You will keep coming back. Black cherry was my favourite

Yes, the icecream is nice but I didn't undestand what is this vibw about it bwing the best. Possibly cheaper than what I had in Rome but nothing special about flavour or texture. I had nicer ones in Rome but possibly at triple the price to be honest.
