Pleased with OR and physician care. Recent 2 night hospital stay, nurses pass medications and that is about all. I was cold, they could not find anything other than a thin bath blanket. Got refill of water and ice for my ice machine only when I asked. Worse part was made to feel guilty almost every time I used the call light to ask for pain medication or help with something. If the nurse is making hourly rounds should be able to anticipate next pain med without the patient having to call. But then when you get someone who answers the call light via intercom and they treat you consistently bad attitude it makes for a sad stay. Nurse managers should make daily rounds, I was seen once only because I had complained. Must say nurse Meghan RN on days was very kind and helpful and House Sup Kathy found me a fleece blanket that was from a past hospital gift event. PT and OT good. Nurse aides were kind. Literally took a cold shower as hot water never came, and no guest internet connection every worked. So very disappointed.

Thanks for helping me and the community during Covid times. Was well taken care. Admitted on emergency(ER) and took 3 hours to get the bed alloted after delayed checkups . Otherwise all the treatment procedures were taken care well. Information was provided as requested. Only concern I see is delay in nurse, doctor s attendance however overall good service

My wife was in for surgery and stayed overnight. Her food (eggs) was cold and she was awake when it came. Asked to leave room before checkout and before lunch that was ordered. She will no doubt be charged for the lunch. Asked for juice, never received it. Was told she would have a private room but she did not. She was dumped in the discharge lounge adjacent to the main hospital and no one informed me before I picked her up. Was not wheelchaired to the car after having 5 hour of surgery. No consult and no aftercare instructions communicated. No wonder they have lost 20+ points in ratings. Next time we need to go n for surgery we will go to Stanford.

My Aunt had surgery last month and was in the CCU. Due to many complications, the palliative team met with our family for a conversation about end of life care. I wanted to share that even though the circumstances were grim, my Aunt and the rest of the family who sat bedside until she passed were treated with the utmost care, dignity and compassion. The entire team, nurses and doctors allowed us to all be with her until after hours. We were brought snacks, beverages and an endless supply of tissues. They comforted my uncle and called him by his first name. As far as death experiences go, I felt we were respected in our grief and that the staff was really there for us and respected the decisions that were made. I thank you for making this experience a little less awful. It truly meant a lot to our family.

On a side note, less than 7 hours after she died at around 6am, our family received a call asking for a skin donation. Maybe that perhaps, could have been addressed at a better time.

I recently had heart surgery. Social worker referred me to grant Cuesta rehab said it was great. He lied I think all county employees lie. Despite I had other health issues and could have stayed they forced me to leave
This rehab is a place from he'll. Smells , out beds are from 50s. I had a good experience with Elcamino but for them to send a heart patient to this place is cruel. So I'm at risk for yet more more health problems. I'm so disappointed

Fantastic care in ER and, subsequently, in surgery and post-op. Everyone we encountered was caring, friendly and professional. One nurse out of many exuded stress (most were superb). Large rooms, seemingly modern equipment. The food was so-so at best, but the doctors, nurses and hospital - no complaints.
